HOW IT ALL WORKS: The March challenge runs for 5 weeks, from Feb 26 - April 1. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!
Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat thread. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win!
We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard. Let's have a Green March!
To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you take a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or are moved to the Support Team for as long as you need to. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally.
Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone! You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team!
In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Bravo! Welcome to the March challenge. My 3rd month and enjoying every moment with you all.
I’m a mom of 3 (25, 21 and 13). I’m an Indiana gal living abroad and bouncing between countries. I previously used MFP to lose 70+ lbs. 6 years ago I had quite the traumatic surgical disaster, that left me in a medical mess. After surgeries, procedures and 2 bouts of sepsis (that almost took me) I am finally feeling like myself again. I have weight to take off and this is the place to do it.
I do a low carb, no wheat, higher protein plan and some type of daily exercise.
My no zeros started with:

Water drinking
Me time
Organizing/decluttering my house

Cycling/pilates/stretching
Reinventing my favorite recipes
Some type of (new) learning weekly
Today’s challenge
Don’t emotional eat (my first day of this since starting in December)
I made pasta (comfort food) but it’s wheat free and kept it within calories. BUT…that feeling of wanting to eat due to stress bothered me.
So here’s my good, the not so good and how I am managing it.

I've been meaning to post for a couple days, but no time. Just so I don't forget anyone, I'm going to offer a group hug to all of you who have been struggling with big stuff this week. {{HUG}} Wait, let's do two hugs! {{HUG}}. I've been thinking of you and praying for you.
And since there is only one post over here and I can slam dunk replying to everyone: @AmbersWay- I think emotional eating is why we are all here looking for support. It's a tough one. You've made so much progress already- I know you will make progress with this too.
Intro: I'm Lisa, married for a long time..... kids are 23 and 21. Son lives here, daughter is away at college. New fur baby Gus. I live in Florida. Struggled with weight since the "freshman 15"- have gained and lost several times over the years. Have found it is more of a struggle now that I am at a "mature" age. Been in this group awhile and I love the friendliness and support I find here. I am trying to replace carbs with veggies, I walk, step aerobic and do strength training. I can't believe it's March already- Let's have a good one!6 -

MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband and cute one-eyed pirate pug. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. I use the Healthi app. I have about 65 lbs to lose. For exercise, I like to lift weights on our Tonal home gym, walk and talk with friends, as well as hike but I don't hike much anymore due to knee pain.

I'm going to post the NO ZERO DAYS stuff again for the benefit of the new members...
I invite you to join me on a quest for a NO ZERO DAYS 2023! What is No Zero Days? There are 4 simple ideas behind this:
There are no more zero days. A zero day is when you don’t do anything towards your goals. But that doesn’t mean you have to go full-throttle on your goals each day, no, just do something small if you have to, do a single push-up, walk to the mailbox, drink one less soda…anything not to report a zero day. Do one thing to make your life better each day.
Be grateful to the 3 YOUs: the past you, the present you, and the future you! Be GRATEFUL to the past you for the positive things you’ve done. Did you do that push-up yesterday? THANK YOU YOUNGER ME. Second part of the 3 me’s is you gotta do your future self a favor, just like you would for your best friend. Tired and can’t get off reddit/videogames/interwebs? This one’s for future me, i’m gonna rock out p90x Ab Ripper X for 17 minutes. I’m doing this one for future me. Alarm clock goes off and bed is too comfy? This one’s for my best friend, the future me. I’m up and going for a 5 km run (or 25 meter run, it’s gotta be non zero). MAKE SURE YOU THANK YOUR OLD SELF for rocking out at the end of every.single.thing. that makes your life better. The cycle of doing something for someone else (future you) and thanking someone for the good in your life (past you) is key to building gratitude and productivity.
FORGIVE YOURSELF. Tried your best to have a nonzero day yesterday and it failed? so what. I forgive you previous self. I forgive you. But today? Today is a nonzero masterpiece to the best of my ability for future self.
Exercise and books: exercise is self-explanatory but the books, read a self-improvement book…reading gets you to the next level!

Hi all. I am still struggling to get back on track with exercise, eating has been pretty good. I am distracted because I am going on a weekend trip today to meet cousins from my biological father's side of the family. We got in contact through Ancestry.com and I've never met any of them. It should be weird, fun, and stressful at times. My husband is going with me.

of my local gardening friends and farmers. Hub found some potatoes today which is great. They’re all
different sizes. Can’t wait to make those. It’s a bucket full so I will be ok with sharing. 😂
I don’t have hamsters right now. Mine passed away in October. I’m still sad. They were a rescue/adoption and my first time having lil fluffs. They were the best. I became the crazy ham lady really quick. Now the enclosures take two walls of my living room upstairs. So I have space for new ones. I was trying to find some for adoption to avoid hamster mills, I prefer older or disabled. So far none have worked out. I am on a break for looking since I will travel. I want to adopt all the furry creatures.
@Cornanda thanks for the encouragement. I’m trying to keep my steps and exercise going while I work on getting past my down days. It’s day 2 and another bowl of pasta (wheat free, weighed, and within calories) and some healthy snacks. But I see the sun shining through my blah mood.

Mornin' y'all!
This will be my 2nd month here. I am still trying to get focused on all this. 2023 seems to be the yr. that I want to change EVERYTHING! With that being said I want to make some new habbits this month, starting with:
1. Logging into MFP daily and completing food logs.
2. I want to push for my step goal every day.
3. Also I want to pop in here every morning and see how everyone is doing.
My Introduction:
My name is Sandy, I am a mom of 2, Brittney (my daughter) and Stephen (my son). I am married to my solemate and partner in crime John who is a Colon Cancer Survivor. I have 5 handsome grandsons ages 10, 13,15, 17 and 19.
I am a retired Correctional Officer of 21 yrs.
I live in Copperas Cove, Tx. My kids all live in this area as well. I make it a point to be in their lives so that they will have no regrets later in life.
I do suffer from emotional depression which I choose not to use medication for. I have been on meds before and did not like the way they made me feel (numb).
I use my family, exercise and my Diesel to help me.
We are in the middle of remodeling our home. We are finishing up the living room, dinning room and guest room over the next few months. I also decided to paint the kitchen(I am going to be spending a lot of time in there 😜) for now cuz it won't see a remodel job for awhile.
I have also been decluttering and organizations throughout my home.
Congrats to all that have lost over the month of Feb.

Hello team!
A little about me: I'm 67, and I work part-time as a bookkeeper in a plastics factory. My hours are part-time, but I'm still doing everything that I did when I worked full time! That's the agreement that I have with my boss - that I can work just 3 days a week, as long as I get it all done, and I still get my full time pay. January was my first try at it, and I think January is probably the toughest month with all the payroll taxes that are due. I got it all done, so I think I'm good to work a 3-day week all year.
I have been at my goal weight of 130 since March of 2019. On previous weight loss adventures, I would reach my goal weight but couldn't manage the maintenance. I've been managing the maintenance this time, with a goal range of 127-133. Right now I'm at 127. 133 is my scream weight.
I live in Dover New Hampshire with my long time boyfriend Rich and my cat Earl. Earl is my profile picture. My hobbies are bird watching, bicycling, and crochet. Also knitting, but I prefer crochet. I'm doing some research on family genealogy, and I try to do at least one online course per month to study something new that interests me. I also seem to always be in some phase of decluttering or reorganization. My life got upended when Rich moved in with me; he's a collector. We have managed to merge our stuff without exchanging blows or cuss words. Now it's just a manner of stemming the tide of inflowing clutter that comes from living with a collector.

Rich came home from work tonight feeling quite ill, and he's gone to bed already, at 5:20pm. He has asthma, so even a simple cold feels life threatening. Right now he says he's uncomfortable breathing, but not ready to take medication or seek help. He's stubborn.

Hi everyone, welcome to Mission Slimpossibles with the awesome @trooworld and @broncobuddee as our team captains and me as our motivator (sorry I've been slacking this week!). I'm Kathy and I'm 51, I live in the Sacramento area with my two cats Jasper and Asher. I've been part of this group for going on four years and have grown and learned a lot here, if there's anything I can do to help you or cheer you on please feel free to reach out to me (for private messages you would have to add a person first on here as a friend which I'm happy to do). I struggle with chronic pain and was bedridden from for over two decades, my worst pain condition had gone in remission when I'd first started here and I'd been doing better but has since returned and I'm learning how to stay active with the pain minus the heavy medications this time. I was 222lbs at my highest and am about 147 now and have my diabetes in remission and my liver is in better shape thank goodness plus I'm strong enough that I can usually care for myself now. I do chair cardio, stretching, and strength training and eat somewhat low carb. I love reading and gardening and volunteer with the food bank farm as well as a local charity when I can and do some part-time work from home. I also spend a lot of time with my family and my boyfriend lives about 2 hours away so I see him when I can as well.

It was a pretty hard week as far as the emotional roller coaster ride. The 23rd was my Dad's birthday. I am still down almost 2 lbs for February so, I will chalk that up as a win for the month.
I am getting my mind set for the up coming month.
My goals for March are as follow
1) Going to bed on time.
2) Getting daily step count of 7500.
3) Continuing to cook at home.
4) Completing food log.
5) Working the Group Challenges.

It's snowing. The forecast called for flurries, but it's been coming down steadily for 3 hours. I fell last year while walking in the snow, and broke my wrist. So now I'm afraid of walking outside when it's slippery. I did 45 minutes on the stationary bike and 20 minutes of stretching.

I will be late on my weigh in. My new scale was supposed to arrive yesterday, but it is still stating out for delivery. I ordered it through Amazon, they are usually pretty good, I’m hoping it arrives today so I can do my way in tomorrow morning.3

I am so excited to be here for the March Challenge! This is my first month back after a break.
I’m a mom of a boy who is heading to college in the fall. (Big news arrives in March.) I'm from Texas. I teach science and math privately. My spring ambitions include a garden, but I may have already missed the window for planting tomatoes in central Texas, so it may just be greens this year. I also have backyard chickens (currently just two, so we may get some chicks this spring). I also have an indoor bird, a cat, and a large personable goldfish. (No hamsters, though.)
I have weight to lose if I want to stay healthy and moving, and I know from experience that a community makes that much easier and more fun.
I am vegan with an emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and beans (Fuhrmann & Greger). I do daily exercise, usually walking plus some other bonus things like practicing martial arts kicks.

I was off doing Scouts this weekend and got behind on comments. I read all the posts for the end of February and wrote a long reply, but it seems out of place? My name is Amanda, and I live in Southeast Michigan. The past few years have been a rollercoaster, and my health has suffered. I joined F2F to make myself a priority, create better habits, and have fun! I have a busy schedule; I work full time, go to school for dietetics, and live with my 90-year-old grandpa. My grandma recently passed away in May, and learning to live without her has been challenging for my entire family. I have realized that I use food to cope and deal with stress. I want to get to a point where I see food as fuel rather than a way to manage. I am on a self-love journey!

Bedtime by 10 pm

Hi I’m Jen from WIsconsin. I am 56 and live with my husband, 27 year old son, 63 year old sister and 4 year old Golden Doodle. I have another son who is 30 and getting married in July. (Thus also trying to look good in a Mothers of the Groom dress! )I am relatively new to two part-time jobs after ending a 13 year stint as an Executive Assistant. I’m obsessed with gamifying habits as I have trouble staying interested otherwise. So I love habit challenges of any kind. However, I struggle with cooking and menu planning and is the reason I came to this group. I returned last month after more than a year away. It feels great to be back!
I think we, the Mission Slimpossible Team, are doing a pretty good job finding each other on the Stridekick App and have tried out a few challenges as a group. Several Mission Slimpossible team members have tried out a Tokyo challenge and a leaderboard challenge. @sleepygirl79 Way to go! I've never reported anyone on here but you can block them if they send you private messages on the left side on the website. Under Community on the right side bottom there's a spot that says “Contact Us”. On the app it's under settings. I know you can either contact someone on the forums or leave a message, I don't recall ever getting a response from a contact form so if you can talk to a moderator on the forums that's your best bet. Some of the easy ways to deal with it is if you see a friend has the same friend send them a private message and ask (a friend actually sent me one about this guy like an hour after I'd accepted his and I told her to wait then said no) or many females will post friend requests on their feed asking for feedback. It was weird at first as it felt like talking behind people's backs but I think after you've been through this garbage a bit it makes more sense. I forgot to add with what @FushiaKat had said when I've had that situation they'll say their CC isn't working in the country they're stationed in so can you send them a gift card (their birthdays are surprisingly two weeks away all the time!) or they'll say their kid's birthday is coming up and the card won't work will you send one to that address so their child isn't crying on their birthday. Some female friends don't add men at all anymore, I have some great male friends here so I still tend to give people a chance but scammers or men looking for women as more than friends as pretty common. Yet another thing you can do on the website is if you find a mutual friend see how long ago they added the friend and if it's a short time ago I'd skip it. Sorry this got so long, 4 years of learning everything the hard way! Some other things friends do is if a FR has a private profile or no information about themselves and/or no photo they won't accept as they're more likely to be bots or scammers.
@AmbersWay Are you going to eat the potatoes or grow them that you got? I think I've talked the food bank farm manager into growing them again, I'd rather not deal with them here after how small they were. I love the idea of adopting older or disabled hamsters. How long do they live? Between my brother and I we had a few rats and they tended to get tumors on them after a couple years which was real sad.

@trooworld I hope the trip goes well and meeting your cousin is wonderful! I did that through 23andMe and it was real exciting, we still keep in touch and he sent me a video of my great uncle's 70th birthday party which I remember talking about and you'd commented on, made me cry seeing my grandpa. I hope it's all good memories to share with each other.

@Amanda32390 Hi Amanda! I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. Wonderful March goals! @Cornanda was saying to someone a few days ago how many of us have emotional eating issues which is definitely true, you're among people with the same struggles (and you obviously have a lot of stress which makes it harder).
@JenAWhite The challenge sounds really fun, I hope if I get the stimulator I'll be abe to join all of you! I love challenges as well.
@megnolia82 Wow you're taking all the good pre and probiotics! I agree not to put much stock in the weigh in, just get yourself healthier should be the main focus. I hope this will be the end of the antibiotics for you!

I only got a few hours sleep, still not feeling the best but I had to disinfect my bathroom after my toilet misadventures yesterday so I Cloroxed the entire bathroom then did all the floors in the house, I'm totally worn out. Did some arm cardio and stretching before all of that too. I took a bath and had Skinnytaste chicken taco soup for dinner and am headed back to read more of The Diamond Eye by Kate Quinn. My only issue is they keep popping squares of chocolate in their mouth and slowly letting it melt and after reading 40% today I'm absolutely dying for chocolate! Have a great Monday!

Reposting my weigh in since I posted it in February this morning.

And why I’m not bothered? 2 days ago I weighed at 223, the day before that 213. I’m on some antibiotics that have me really retaining water. It’s kind of uncomfortable but I can truly feel the fog lifting. Today was the best day I’ve had since Dec 20. That’s the last day I felt fine. I am so hopeful this treatment will be successful and I won’t have any more relapses.
Super quick rundown: I’ve been battling a C. difficile infection (feel free to google - it’s j pleasant). It’s been resistant to the first two rounds of treatment, and I’ve had some nasty respiratory infections along the way.
I’m feeling hopeful and stronger than I have been. I’m looking forward to fresh beginnings in March!8 -
@megnolia82 glad you’re having some good days. That’s quite a fluctuation, hopefully that will pass soon. At least you know what’s causing it. I’m on a medication that causes some fluid retention that comes and goes. Yesterday, my face was like a blow fish 🐡 and today it’s not. I just ride the water wave 🙃

I'm Dan from Adelaide, South Australia and this is the first time I have joined a challenge and/or chat on MFP. I have been on MFP for over 5 years but only ever used it as a calorie counter. I have had some success but fall off the wagon I think mainly due to a lack of accountability and firm goals. As they say you shouldn't just keep doing the same things over and over and expect different results, I decided to take the plunge and join the March challenge.
Looking forward to being inspired by you all and maybe one day paying that back.

@Katmary71 I love that recipe! LOL about the Folgers. I'm sorry about the back pain and the fence. That's good you got your toilet unclogged, that is a necessity! It was amazing, meeting not only my one cousin but two others! I'm glad your experience was good as well. I hope you can take it easy for a few days after not feeling well. LOL about the chocolate.
@shaunarlr83 It's rough at first, on a new job. You feel insecure and not sure what to do but give it time and you'll be an old pro! The laughing gas was fun! Thanks. I can't wait to hear about your new job as you get adjusted.

Hi all. I had a great weekend meeting my cousins, I met 3 of them! This is going to sound weird, but I finally feel like I belong in my family. Growing up, my parents pitted the half-siblings against each other and it wasn't a healthy environment. I never felt like I belonged and always wondered if I was adopted. So finally feeling like I fit in somewhere is a big deal for me. I hope to stay in contact with my cousins. As far as health goes, it wasn't a successful weekend but there are more important things in life at times. I will be back at it this week.
