Another challenging night, sorry for not responding more, hope you all have a great start to May and the week!

LET'S HAVE SOME FUN SHARING PICTURES THIS WEEK!!!!!
Chris and I thought it would be fun to start off the first week of the month sharing via pictures things we love or that are important in our lives each day with one another such as or families, pets, hobbies, special momentos, or anything else you may like to share. It's always been so fun to see pictures from all of you and it would be a great way to know each other better and welcome our new members in On MFP in a group that means sending a pic from your phone to download on a computer and uploading but I'm sure there's other ways I'm unsure of as well. If you have issues please post what you're using (for example I use an Android phone and can't attach pics in group which is why I send them to my email and download to my laptop).
Can't wait to see and hear more about all of you!3 -
Glorious Gloria new member joining the team for extra motivation on this journey. I am 44 yrs. old, been on this journey since 2004.
It's been a long uphill battle, but I refuse to give up until I meet my long-time goal of losing
300lbs.
Since I started once again in Jan 2020 I weigh in at 548 so since I've lost 78.6lbs so far
Over the past few years, I've been diagnosed with various diseases (i.e. asthma which has
overlapped into COPD ergo the oxygen PRN (NO LONGER CONTINOUS YAY), chronic pain in the back and knees), diabetes, and recently heart failure.
NEVER THE LESS: RECIEVED CLEARANCE TO RETURN TO WORK IN Feb AFTER 7 YEARS being disabled!! Started NEW Teaching position in Mar and it has been very rewarding. Do you see what getting healthy will get you? Still a long way to go but baby steps. When you have God's Power as your strength acknowledge your faults, and then start making one small change at a time.
Current Weight: 473.8lbs
22.6 inches lost overall so far.
THE IMPOSSIBLE IS POSSIBLE!
If interested follow my progress at:
https://youtube.com/user/gjaholy
***Also started Weight Watchers on Feb as I kept going up and down so realize couldn't do it on my own so far so good loving the zero points on veggies and proteins (except beef) they have over 200 foods that's zero points***
Looking forward to reading everyone's post and knowing we will have a successful month. We're in this together
REMEMBER WE GOT THIS!💪🏽💪🏽

@gemwolf110 hey, our highest and current weight stats are almost identical! Let’s do this!
@gjaholy33 wow! Congratulations on going back to work! You’ve hit some major milestones. Can’t wait to share this journey with you! Keep up the amazing work!
Guys, I had another great day - back on the bike tonight for another 10k. I went at a faster pace tonight and I definitely worked up a sweat. I was around 38 minutes last night and I think 34 tonight. Goal for this week will be to beat 30 min. I’ll try to keep them attainable! I’ve been practically sedentary since mid-December so I’ll take this! I also can’t believe how happy my body is!
I’m also really happy with my eating. Not perfect by any means, but so so so much better than I’ve been doing!
Have an amazing week, everyone!

Welcome to our new members 💐
🎊Congratulations to our leaderboard makers🎊
🎈Happy upcoming Birthday to @shaunarlr83 🎁
@megnolia82 so glad you’re feeling better. Well done on the cycling, that’s great!
@gjaholy33 you’re doing great. Love your positivity, it’s what helps keep you going.
@Katmary71 I love the idea of sharing pictures. I hope today is a great day for you.
@laurelfit57 your grandson is absolutely adorable! I love crazy hair days. We turned my youngest into a sparkly fish last time. I need to find her picture. Your daughter is amazing, that was a great idea.
@gemwolf110 it’s wonderful that you’re working out now and finding a routine, it really helps. I pray your mom is doing well. You’re an amazing daughter for all that you do. Bravo for studying, working and helping out. You’re a trooper 😍

Today’s update
I am sick, it’s just starting and I have watery eyes, a nose on the run, yet dry throat and my head feels dehydrated (if that could be a thing). Well 😂 that could just be me.
Kids are busy with exams again (never ending). I can’t wait for summer break.
My hamster sitting has ended. The little guy (he was actually a big boy) has gone home now. He was such a quiet and sweet fluffy boy.
My 3 girls (GS, Saluki and Canaan) are all in a cuddly mood today. Queenie (GS) had spa day and got a buzz per the request of the vet. She had a major roll in the mud and he said she needed it, poor girl looks goofy! I think she new she looked goofy. We kept telling her she’s beautiful and loved on her. She’s ok now. Still looking goofy 🤪.
No zeros for yesterday
I rested, took care of myself.
I had a great day calorie wise, I made myself meals that kept me full and I enjoyed them.
Tried a new weights workout and loved it. (Sydney Cummings on YouTube)
Sidenote: I dropped down to light weights, I wasn’t feeling 100% and didn’t want to over do it.
Have a great week!

Hello my SlimPeeps! My name is Jennifer and I am a 49 year old single mom of 3 adult children. I live in beautiful Southwest Michigan, right across the Lake from Chicago. My son, Marcus, is 27 and a Navy Recruiter. He and his wife gave me my first granddaughter, Sophie, just last week. My oldest daughter, Sydney, is 26 and is about to move to Texas for her beau. My youngest daughter, Hunter, is 23. She and her hubby are going to give me my first grandSON in June.
I am enjoying my quiet time with my sweet American Blue rabbit (her name is Kismet). I love to rubber stamp (I’m a Stampin’ Up demo) and make cards. I'm an active member of my church (Board member), and also love horror movies. I have worked in Community Development at my County for over 18 years. I’m working with a therapist on my BED. He’s the best. And since Miss Sophie was born, I feel like she’s sparked a fire in me to get healthy so this Grammy can be active with the babies! I had been using the Healthi app for the past year, but just don’t care for the social part of it. Not very easy to make/follow friends on there. Plus I hate that you can only do stuff on the app and not a computer. I’ve been a member of MFP for over a decade, so I decided I should go ahead and sign up for the Premium account. So far, I’m enjoying it. Let’s rock this month!
No Zero Days May Goals
1. Weigh/Measure/Log all food
2. 6,000 Steps
3. Stop eating when pleasantly full
4. No snacking after 10pm

@giaholy33 Hi Gloria, what do you prefer being called? Wow 300lbs down would be so amazing! Congratulations on being cleared, what an incredible accomplishment! We’re happy to have you as part of our family here. I’m watching your videos while I answer to this, we HAVE to talk chair exercises, I’ve been doing them for just over 3 years, if you’d like my playlist I’ll send it to you. I don’t have as many seated dance ones though, I do chair cardio with them muted and videos on the other window then have a bunch of real short dances I can do standing under 5 minutes. My favorite right now are alternating Kym Perfetto ones or Carolyn Jordan on arm/upper body days where it’s cardio and weights then Donovan Green has great leg, thigh, and butt ones (he did so awesome at coming up with ways to do it seated with booty bands and longer bands). I’m so happy for you being back at work outside of the house after so long, I admire your drive so much and love your attitude, rock that badge!
@megnolia82 Woohoo you go on that bike! You’re doing amazing! Hey did you see the FDA cleared a fecal transplant pill? The article said it’s great for people with C diff because getting healthy bacteria in the body would help recovery so much more. It sounds gross but the holistic place I go feels once you’ve been on a lot of antibiotics you permanently lose certain bacteria and it's the only way you can replace it (Levaquin and Keflex were the worst at causing issues I believe and after I was injured my bladder was in such bad shape I was on them for a long time). If it took care of stomach issues for good it would be great just the thought of swallowing someone’s feces sounds less than desirable. I’m going to stop this weird discussion, keep up the great activity and eating!
@AmbersWay Aw sounds like the girls know you aren’t feeling well and are taking care of you, I’m so glad you have them! Get well soon! Smart call on the weights!
@gemwolf110 Good luck with the spring cleaning, happy May to you too!
@vegan4lyfe2012 Aw both Sophie and Kismet are beautiful, love imagining all the love you’re surrounded by these days! Let’s do great things this month, woot woot!
I was a little wordy today, sorry gang! Hope you all had a great first day of the month and a good Monday. I’m not getting a lot of sleep lately but did get some, I’m mostly taking it easy now but did some stretching, QiGong, and protecting my summer veggies from the cold we’re having but not sure if it will last as it’s windy too and things are likely to blow away. I picked up a few business collections for the military care package program we’re doing next weekend to tally so we can decide what we’re buying on our shopping trip Wednesday night. Thursday is the charity meeting I scheduled outside with a high of 64 so I called and got it moved inside so my fingers don’t freeze and I can still take notes. Not going to the greenhouse tomorrow, I’m laying low until the steroids kick in and hopefully just getting a little work done before the week gets busy.
No Zero Days
- Better than yesterday and healthy-ish aside of popcorn
- Stretching, QiGong, watering and covering plants
- Listened to Hang drums to relax
- Great water/tea
My picture is my parents, brother, SIL, and nephews on Easter in my folk’s backyard, I was the picture taker here

@vegan4lyfe2012 - Jennifer, I didn't realize you were a horror movie fan. I think my boyfriend has an EXTENSIVE collection of horror movies on DVDs. He says it's "only the good ones" that he collects. Everything from the classics to the gruesome, he loves them.
We've had rain rain rain, and then the sun came out yesterday for half the day, but we are in for more rain rain rain for the rest of the week. Grass is very green and very long, but can't mow because it's wet and under the grass it's muddy. We had some major flooding in some areas of New Hampshire on Sunday night; some roads got closed and will need repair before they are safe for cars. I don't think the rain that falls for the rest of this week will be downpours like Sunday night, so we are probably safe from any more flooding. Anyway I'm grateful for the rain because I know that we need it; I just wish it would come in measured doses and not all at once!

Morning everyone!!! A little slow getting into May. Enjoyed reading everyone's intros and updates. Not big on words myself. A little about myself...which I had to dig into my motivation and why I participate with MFP challenges. I am the eldest of 5 with only 6 years difference from myself and my youngest sister. Diabetes is prevalent in our family and heart disease. One brother has a blockage, the other brother has AFIB, one sister with AFIB & stents and my youngest sister had quadruple bypass followed by a heart attack. When I write this down I feel overwhelmed with gratitude. But it tethered by the fact that I need to pursue a healthier version of myself.
My downfall is 40 years of a lifestyle of self-indulgence in food and drink. I started to be serious in my journey on July 1 2020. I have made some progress but it is still a journey.
May is a beautiful month. My picture to share are spring flowers in my garden.

Todays pics of things that make me happy. Learned to quilt during the pandemic. I don’t know how sewing a few masks for my nursing daughters ( back when they were short supplied) turned in to this, but I’m glad it did! My sewing room is now my happy place! My mom would be so proud.

Howdy Y'all!
CONGRATULATIONS to all the April losers!
Welcome to all the new folks!
I'm Sandy from Copperas Cove, Tx. I am a mom of 2 humans and 2 furbabies. A Grandma of 5 grandsons. I am married for the 3rd time. It's a home run with him. Next month is our 27th Anniversary.
I have been on this weight loss journey seems like for ever. I have been gaining and losing the same 5 lbs for the last few months. Hopefully with the warmer weather this will be the month that I manage to loss this 5 lbs and move on to the next 5 lbs. Started intermittent fasting this past Sunday so we will see👀 I joined this group back in February (pops in once in awhile) but want make a change this month with that.I am finally caught up with all the posts from last month and the start of this months. Going to start checking in daily this month. Maybe that will help me stay more focused.
My hobbies include crafting, playing in my garden, spending time with my Diesel and long rides down the back roads in either our 99 Trans Am or 13 Camaro.
To all the new comers welcome to the group and looking forward to meeting each one.
@tammymccrady6278 your pups are so cute😍
@laurelfit57 your Brandon's a handsome young man and his hair is just so cute. Your daughter has an amazing imagination.
@Katmary71 love the family pic. I had to do some protecting with my tomato plants. The birds were taking bites out of them as they were turning red. My green beans are doing so so. Out of 7 bean stalks I might get a half serving. Lol. I started cantaloupe so we will see and my cucumbers bloomed but cucumbers yet.
@vegan4lyfe2012 you have such a precious little girl. She is beautiful!
This are my pics. for today. Lol

A quick check in and accountability post for me. I did well on my food tracking yesterday and was able to get in over 12,000 steps for the day.
Spent much of the day sitting at a car dealership with my daughter. She was purchasing a new car.... the joys of car purchases!!
I'm an every day weigher (for the most part) and things are looking good for my Thursday checkin (as long as I can keep my hands out of the cookie jar...lol)
Waiting for warmer temperatures and dryer weather to get out in the convertible!!
Hope everyone has a great week!!

I was actually thinking I’m going to post more pictures!!! If any of you were my fb friend you would know I’m a huge picture person 😂😂😂
I have an IPhone and cannot post from the app but as long as I log in through the web browser I can.3 -
Yesterday my mom and oldest niece (in the house) got started eating healthy. Mom made an amazing dish which I only got the last spoonful of so I tried couscous for the first time ever!!! I’m hooked! Loaded up on veggies and also had a low carb protein shake for breakfast. My niece made us all healthy snack bars for dessert which I in turn had again for breakfast today along with a banana and an extra spoonful of peanut butter!!!
I’m loving the pictures and I have so many things that make me happy so y’all better be ready for picture overload!!!!! This is my favorite picture from our first hike yesterday, a non windy day in Oklahoma seems rare these days, it was great! I didn’t add it in my intro for new members but hiking is my passion!
7 -
@Katmary71 – You have me cracking up! 64F in Michigan is a heat wave! Love the family photo.
@shaunarlr83 – I’m sure you’ll have that excess off in no time with those crazy hikes you take! So happy to hear your family members are starting to eat healthy, too. It always helps when we are not in it alone. Love your hiking photos. Such pretty scenery!
@micaroo4 – I have over 1,600 DVDs and Blu-rays. I love collecting physical media! I have all the ones I love plus ones that are so bad they should never take up real estate in anyone’s collection! I enjoy a wide variety – anywhere from B-rated to Lovecraft to revenge to killer animals and people to banned ones. I have one stack on my shelf that my kids know they shouldn’t watch because they are too extreme. Thankfully they trust me. I probably shouldn’t even keep them, but sometimes I like to re-watch. We’ve had lots of rain here, too, so my yard is quite the mess. Not looking forward to when it dries enough to mow and whatnot.
@Bemybestby60 – Welcome! Your siblings definitely give you pause to think about your own health. You have beautiful tulips – are you an avid gardener like @Katmary71 is?
@trooworld – I’m laughing at Violet being motivated by cheese! And good job on your water
@Mariamamjad – We are here for you! What can we do to help with motivation?
@DJill68 – Love that quilt! That is some serious work – how many hours did it take?
@txcritter69 – What a happy, beautiful family! We need another pic of Diesel, too, tho!
@tfelts147 – Dang! 12,000 steps is awesome! Hope your daughter likes her new car, too!
I had a fantastic visit with my therapist yesterday. He said he could tell right away I was having a good day. Just gotta stay focused. Main thing for eating is making sure I have foods ready to prevent mindless eating (which typically turns into binging). You know I’m a huge horror fan, but I’ve run out of movies to see at the theater (saw Renfield twice, Evil Dead Rise, The Pope’s Exorcist), so Hunter and I are going to watch Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret. Not gonna lie. I really want to see Beau is Afraid, but from the Parent’s guide, I know Hunter would hate the movie (she doesn’t like gratuitous nudity or bad language). I just don’t want to go by myself, so I’ll probably wait until I can just buy it. Had a great lunch of salad and a stew of veggies and barley, so I’m ready for my bag of popcorn sans butter.
Everyone have a great afternoon and don’t forget to eat some veggies!

Congratulations to the April losers, well done. Staying in the green for four weeks is awesome too!
Welcome new team members. I look forward to getting to know you.
My name is Kathryn, I go by Kat for short or KJ. I'm chronically ill with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Brain Fog, plus, plus. Hardly a day goes by without pain. I'm 63 and this is my second marriage, we will celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary in December.
I have 7 rescue Cats which range in age from 14 - 2 years old. They keep me very busy. I have a Cactus garden, and I play an online game to keep my mind sharp. I love to take pictures of random things, or local flowers in bloom.
I reached my goal weight the last week of 2022. I am determined not to go past 140lbs. I live in Southern California.
@laurelfit57 your daughter is very creative, that campfire hair is sooo cute!!
@Katmary71 I hope you feel better soon. I love hearing about your garden, and your activities with the farm.
@tammymccrady6278 such adorable fur babies ♥
@DJill68 I love the view from your back porch. I love trees, and I like your creativity with the planter beds, they blend in so well and look natural.
@trooworld your pugs are sweeties!
@shaunarlr83 Great goals for the month. I should revisit my goals for 2022 and make some new ones for 2023, it's not too late. I do have a major goal in mind and that is to buy new office furniture for my husband and rearrange our office, maybe even paint the walls. For a personal goal just to stay in maintenance. Hee-hee ok those are my goals for the year. That will keep me busy.

Nightly check in. I just need an outlet so I apologize if I sound like a Debbie Downer. We found out yesterday that my very healthy 94 yr old FIL has prostate cancer. He permanently has a catheter now and well…ahhhh, I hate to complain, but catheter care is zero fun! He doesn’t want to leave the house much because of it. The man still drives, rides around our property on his 4 wheeler, mows the field on his tractor, goes to church every week and visits the national cemetery where Mom was buried, after church. He is nothing like most 94 year olds! I’m sad, but trying to keep it from showing. I also feel really selfish for dreading the fact that on top of cooking, cleaning, laundry, and chauffeur, now I am therapist and nurse. I need a vacation from life!
On a more positive note, I wanted to binge on junk food so bad today, but I stuck to my diet! I even got some exercise in.
7 -
Here's a picture of my daily activity.
8 -
@Bemybestby60 What beautiful tulips!
@giaholy33 359 Ninja stars down is pretty awesome!
@trooworld I love the puppy pics, I was thinking Daisy was a little younger, no wonder she’s flustered with a 9 month old around!
@DJill68 That quilt is beautiful, I love it! The colors are so pretty together! I’m so sorry to hear about your FIL, he does sound pretty amazing! It’s understandable to feel stretched thin, I think it’s pretty overwhelming and hope you know you can vent here any time.
@txcritter69 This weather is definitely making things challenging! I had to laugh at half a serving of green beans, I grew fava beans last year and have a handful frozen in the freezer in the hopes it would reach enough to actually cook. I planned to not grow it again and two plants popped up this year so I'm not getting a lot but enough to perhaps make a serving out of two years? My pole beans went so crazy I'm at a loss because I only got one Chinese long bean last year (I thought the vine went nuts but it was a long red bean and I didn't realize any had grown) and this year 15 sprouted when I direct seeded them.
You have a beautiful family!
@shaunarlr83 I love all the beautiful photos!
@vegan4lyfe2012 What did you think of those movies? I’m guessing Renfield was good to see it twice, I’ve been wanting to see The Pope’s Exorcist and Are You There God It’s Me, Margaret I read more than once so have to see. I saw that Forever by Judy Blume is on Amazon. Hey did your therapist come to the conclusion that your kids should just keep making you a grandma left and right because it was just what you needed? I’m kidding, glad you’re in a good place!
@19shmoo69 You’re officially the one person who made me laugh today, thank you!
Hi team, I didn’t get to everyone and apologize, I really need my laptop back so I can sit more comfortably while going online but it was shipped to a different store without my permission. I feel real lousy and I’m super nauseous from the steroids so I’m just headed to bed.
No Zero Days
- Under calories and healthy (pro to nausea!)
- Great water/tea
- Stretching, listening to hang drums to relax
Picture collage are my two cats, Jasper on top and Asher on the bottom, they’re brothers who were feral and trapped as kittens and put up for adoption that are going on 4 years. There have definitely been days especially when I first relapsed a couple years ago that they're the only reason I'd make it through the nights, of course MFP and you all helped me there a lot too! Asher, the bottom gray one I fell in love with right away and he's introverted, skittish, and onery. I was asked if I really wanted to separate brothers and had ignored Jasper as he's flashy and would be adopted easily but couldn't say no at parting them and he's a bundle of extroverted love and joy.
5 -
@vegan4lyfe2012 congratulations on your beautiful new granddaughter! Watching my parents become incredible grandparents has been such a joy for me and the bond they have with my children is the greatest gift. Enjoy every moment of this new role!
@Katmary71 hey that’s great news about the FMT pill! In Canada everything seems to be slower so I’m not sure when that might be an option here. I already had a neighbour offer to donate some poop lol! The transplant would have been the next step in treatment if I had failed my third round. Although I absolutely believe my gut is wrecked. I’ve read it takes up to 3 years to repopulate but it doesn’t surprise me that it can take a lifetime. I took it for granted my whole life. I’m just flooding myself with probiotics, avoiding triggers - dairy and alcohol - and hoping for the best every day.
Great news - 6.5 km yesterday and 10k today.
Have a great Wednesday!3 -
