It took everything I had not to cave into mindless eating yesterday. I even forced myself to go for a 23 minute walk once the rain stopped. I logged my food and ate every last calorie given to me. I am very, VERY hungry this morning! I have to go into work today for statements, so that will probably be my saving grace.

Well done on not giving in. I totally get it. I've been out of the house for 8 hours today to keep away from food! Just had my one meal for today and only got to resist food for 2 more hours before bedtime!

    Pre holiday 183lb
My fight to get my eating back under control by checking in daily for accountability

    Monday:
    Weight 196lb (14lb over lowest)
    Calories 600 over
    Exercise none
    Water 2litres

    Tuesdays plan
4 strategies to get me back on track:
    1. Having a low carb day without the pressure of a calorie goal. This should get my blood sugars back on an even footing and stop the massive ups and downs which make me crave more carbs and over eat!
    2. Pre plan all my food for the day
    3. Leave the house and keep busy all day before going home for my one meal
    4. Write down "why I'm eating" before i put anything in my mouth!

    Success :)
    Calories 300 under
Exercise some but could be better
    Water 2.5litres

I saw my podiatrist today ...We did x-rays today and my ankle is still broken in 2 places .... He put me in a hard cast ( I have been in a soft cast for awhile ... he said try to stay off of it has much as you can ....elevate it ...this is not the news I wanted to hear ... I was hoping to swim in my pool this summer looks like that wont happen :/ At least I know why it has been very painful

I'm sure this is very frustrating for you. Hang in there!

    Wednesday
Yesterday i won a battle but the wars not over!
I ve learnt that my body/ willpower cannot cope with the blood sugar highs and lows of carbs! After 2 years of low carb eating i realise now it was the drop in blood sugar after carbs that was making me go and eat some more carbs! Honestly my eating in the last week has scared me! I went from 185lb to a high of 203lb! Everyday i wanted to restart my diet but just couldn't get back in the zone! I mean i know there's lots of water and extra food in my digestive system but 18lb gain!
My best strategy was having a low carb day yesterday without the pressure of a calorie goal. This has got my blood sugars back on an even footing and stopped the massive ups and downs which make me crave more carbs and over eat!

This morning I'm feeling in control again. Aiming for another low carb day with no calorie goal (one step at a time). I've got this.
My weight is down to 192lb.
Only 10lb to go to get back to goal.
Hoping my experience helps others x

I had fasted for 19 hours (I.F) and had been running around taken care of my personal business, so I decided to eat out at a Chinese restaurant. (eating out is something I rarely do, because I don't like eating in public places) I did over eat, but not that much. I think the main problem with eating Chinese at a restaurant is the high content of sodium in the food. Hopefully, it won't be to bad on the scale when I weigh-in later this morning.

I have been really busy with taking care of a few things and going to Doctor's appointments. This week is going to be really busy.

Monday: I was running around taken care of personal business that needed to be done.

Tuesday: I went to see the ENT doctor (allergy specialist) to get the results from an allergy test I had done a few days prior.

    Wednesday:
Have to see my primary doctor and also get some lab work done. Then in the afternoon I have an appointment with the heart specialist, (he sent me a few weeks back to get a test done) my blood flows sluggishly (moves slowly through my body/ which it shouldn't) the doctor will give me the results and hopefully have some good news on what can be done to help improve blood circulation. (if there's anything that can help)

    Thursday:
On February 25,2023, I found a large wound on my right ankle, the specialist said it was probably a result of my poor circulation, and I go see her every two weeks, so they can make sure it is healing properly.
During the week I treat it at home on Monday's & Friday's and on Wednesdays, I go into my primary doctor's office, so they can also document it by taking measurements and photos to see if it's healing properly. It's already been a little over 2 months and it may take several more, before it heals. I'm a diabetic and I heal slowly.

As y'all can see It's turning out to be a very busy week. Just thought I'd keep y'all updated on what's going.

Good morning, team. I have a general MFP question that I couldn't find an answer to in the community FAQ. When I exercise, it's adding the calories I've burned to my daily total, but I don't want to eat those calories I've burned off. Does anyone know how to turn that off?

    @Megan_smartiepants1970
Do you know how to do this?

Have to go get my shoulder looked at. It's been sore for a couple months and I've been putting it off because I don't want bad news but it's getting to the point where it's even sore when I run. Oh well. Time to bite the bullet.

My husband injured his shoulder (rotator cuff and tore his bicep tendon. The good news is with physio he is better. Good luck!

So no lifting for two weeks and I've got to go for an xray/ultrasound. He thinks it's just tendinitis which is better than the alternative. Not supposed to play baseball but I'll probably just pitch (it's underhand softball so I won't have to throw overhand). It puts no strain on my shoulder.

And I can still run which is the most important thing for me

    WEDNESDAY WEIGH-IN

I never remember what my previous weight was...

Today it is 207.6, which is lower than last week :)

Yesterday was a good day even though there was no formal exercise. I went to work and avoided temptation. I logged my food and I was within my calorie budget.

    What's up yall?

I seem to keep making this mistake a number of times throughout the week- I get up and start my day, then late morning/early afternoon I realize I didn't put on my fitbit. I might have to glue it to my head.

Today I was able to do a couple laps around the kitchen/dining/living room areas and caught up the missed steps. This was actually a bit if a NSV. As yall might remember, when I first joined you last month I could only get from one room to another and had chairs in each room so I could quickly sit down. Now I'm apparently able to hit a couple laps. I've also been able to visit a couple rooms before sitting down- leaving my office, filling up my water in the kitchen, and going back to the office is now a 3x/day thing for me. Crazy.

Hope yall are having a good week.
