Another wonderful time today! I love having my daughter visit - have I ever mentioned that???
We took Jasper on a trail ride with 2 of us on foot (her partner and me) and my daughter riding. Jasper loves following people, so he was having fun, and it was a day of perfect weather. We walked, jogged, ran, sauntered, checked out the small wildlife around, saw moose tracks - a lot of steps were had by all. I'll post some photos soon - there was a fine piece of photographic equipment along on the ride, so I'm sure there will be some good one. I love getting back into long walking about - my big toe has stopped hurting after its break. Finally!
I am SO hungry, so I'm planning and being careful not to eat everything in sight this evening. Wish me luck!2 -
So happy to hear of you daughters visit @jugar
@conleywoods thoughts are with you and your family

Very pleased with this as yesterday and today are the height of my TOM, typically I have a bit of bloat so wouldnt be surprised to see that number come down some in 2ish days, just from water retention.
I drove to PA last night, long drive and super tired right now but glad I made the trip!
Happy friday friends3 -
Yesterday was a good day, today will be also.
So I get back, and am just about caught up, and the other person I cover in the office, has been out sick for two days now. So I am looking forward to a quiet weekend. Next week I plan on getting back on the exercise train.
I have to get my house organized this weekend, I am behind on a lot of stuff. So once I get that sorted, I can focus on exercise.
Also need to work on some better meal planning.

Hi, we are back at our home and so far the fire lines are holding. We have about 50 acres in level 3 leave now zone and the other 60 acres of our property in level 2 be ready to leave at a moments notice. They have close to 1000 firefighters on the job. Kind of scary to stand on our logging roads and see burnt trees on the next hill. Feeling very lucky. We have our bags packed and ready by the door. Feels good to be home even if we can't really relax. Our garden did awesome while we were away thanks to the drip irrigation and timers. We line in-between each row with hay and grass clippings so hardly any weeds to speak of. Just a tomato jungle and some gigantic zucchini.
Thank you for all of your kind words and thoughts. I will most likely be back on the regular team for September @jugar.6 -
Love dropping in and seeing all the great weigh-ins, @conleywoods back at home (understanding you are far from relaxed... I bet it's really hard.. how are the kids managing?), @jugar having a blast with her daughter...
My week has been okay. I had some craziness at work per usual, and Brad was travelling. I had dinners out, and bad decisions.. but I also did workouts, and yeah.. it's been ups and downs as usual. Today we are working from home and I plan to hit the Peloton before we head to the trailer so it's great that I'm prioritizing that over getting to the trailer early (which is a fairly sedentary place!)
We have friends coming to visit on Sunday so we'll take them on the boat. Time to seize the last of the nice weather!! The nights are already starting to feel cooler..
Drinking my water now.. happy about that too!2 -
(Reminder that I don't have daily pledges for @veronica1359 and @littlemzkitty .. if you want to make one feel free but otherwise you are omitted from the consistency stats)
Have a good weekend all!

Sorry to be several days late! I did weigh on Mon but didn't post. School started back this week for both my daughter & wife so I've been in major support mode and trying to keep the house up. Walking for a few hours while I work (standing desk + folding treadmill) has been a game changer. My back hurts less, my ankles aren't swelling, and I'm not stressed about finding time to walk around meetings and when it's not stifling hot.3 -
@conleywoods, it's good to know that you're safe and I hope you can return home soon. I have been watching news reports about the fires in Canada and can only imagine how frightening it is.
Weigh In Day: Saturday

Well, I think I can say that life is starting to return to normal. A few hours work on Monday saw the last of my Dad's stuff cleared out of his condo and I handed back the keys to village management. That stress is no longer hovering and it's now a waiting game for the condo to be refurbished, resold and then see what money is left after the village ownership sucks out their share.
I played two rounds of golf this week and it was wonderful to not have a niggly knee disrupting my game. On the flip side of that, I no longer have an excuse for any bad shots 🤣
Looking back on the week, portion sizes have been under control. There were a few days where I didn't schedule in regular snacks and I noticed by Friday, after the increased exercise through the week, I was feeling 'empty' and could easily have spent the day grazing in search of satiation, but drank more water and tried to keep busy instead.
I hope you are all staying safe and well.2 -
@wdalzell5401 good strategies! It is easy to succumb to those empty feelings, but having a plan to hydrate and keep busy helps prevent that "search of satiation" - well put! Oh - those bad golf shots? It's the glare of the sun. Or a gust of wind. Or someone shouted over there... Glad your knee is feeling better!
A very quiet day here - finally got to a lot of clean up and doing some Pilates. That sure felt great. I needed both the stretch and the toning.
Lots of positive energy here today - keep up the nice green weigh-ins!3 -

I went out to dinner last night with some friends I hadn’t seen since May, and we went to a Dominican-Asian fusion restaurant. The fusion sushi rolls were very yummy and I had a couple margaritas.
This whole week I’ve had contractors over doing work on the house and since they’ve arrived very early every day, I’ve not had a chance to get my workouts in. I also desperately needed to clean, so I spent hours after work scrubbing, mopping, etc various spaces in the house. It sometimes feels so daunting because we have so much more space than when we lived in our apartment. I realize that I can’t leave it all to one day and will have to space out cleaning priorities.
My husband is still working on the front yard, and we also realized this week that we’re going to have to grade our yard because one side is definitely having issues with water drainage than the other. He’s looking into a French drain and what we need to pick up to complete it. Anyone else familiar or have any tips?
I have my dietician appointment next Wednesday so I’m looking forward to seeing my progress there. My goals for this week (Saturday - Friday) are:
Walk my dog at least 30 minutes every morning (weather permitting)
Cardio-based workouts 3 days for at least 30 minutes (M, W, F)
Resistance training workouts 2 days for at least 40 minutes (T, Th)
Drink plenty of water on the weekends

I got back from London last night, where I took Mum to a show. I was struck by how young she looks (she's 83) and I am grateful for having inherited her genes.
We had a terrific night - there's nothing quite like a West End show. And such a buzz seeing the streets honestly teeming with people. It was quite exhilarating
And we're also dog-sitting a gorgeous little dog called Lady. I'm definitely ready to welcome another dog into our lives. Watch this space!
A busy week and a short MS flare up has seen my workout routine suffer somewhat. At least I can take Lady out for a walk for the next couple of days. She goes home tomorrow night! I should be good to resume my exercise schedule next week.
@wishfuljune your home renovation sounds really exciting. Can't wait to see some pix when you're done.

Wow, these steps are terrible! I only hit my goal steps maybe twice this week 😕
Overall, this week hasn't been too much better than last week. I had some decent days, but definitely not perfect. Part of the problem is, we are going on a cruise next week, so I think why be good this week, if next week will be off track? I have to get out of the all or nothing thinking and focus on one day at a time.
I remember hearing someone talking about the 75 day hard program. I like the thought of that for getting me to accomplish a pattern of good eating, exercise, and water intake and doing it for 75 days in a row would be great for building habits and like he said on the website, a great mental accomplishment. I would most likely do the 75 day soft one though, or really just stick with goals for myself 75 days in a row.
My goal for today is 1 perfect day! I have everything I need to be successful, now just have to get my mind on board!5
