I have asked them to move you to Friday, so you can weigh in on that day now0 -

Thanks for your post! The shakes I use are not diet shakes, protein shakes or for weight loss. They are proper meal replacements and they have done a lot of research which is interesting. It's pretty much food science. So I am not concerned about solely using their products. They also have bars and instant pots. I personally get their active shakes because of the high protein: https://jimmyjoy.com/products/plenny-shake-active
Banana is my go-to but I think I will try out chocolate next time I need to order as well. I usually stick to what I know because I am afraid I won't like a different flavour which would be a bit of a waste.4 -

If you would’ve seen me this morning, and how excited I was at the scale, you would’ve thought that I lost 10 pounds! It’s just that it’s been quite a while since I’ve seen the 175 that I was just so excited!
I started in May at 188.0 so I’ve lost 12.5 to date! My big NSV is that my clothes feel better and I can actually see the difference!
@jessicakrall8 the litter comparison was perfect!! When you said you lost double what you were carrying, that’s a freaking awesome visual! It’s amazing what you’ve done for your body! Our knees, joints, back, feet and HEART thank us when we take off that extra weight for sure! I have back issues aplenty and whenever I gain weight my back cries! My feet this past year decided to join in on that crying so I’m working hard to stop their whining 🤣
Who else?? Who can give us a visual of how much weight they’ve lost?5 -

@Pupowl Please excuse me from this week’s weigh in due to pain/swelling in my knee/ankle. Thanks…

*Waves* Just saying hello today and hope everyone is having a good August.6

@jessicakrall8, I hope the pain and swelling doesn't last very long. Ik how comfortable it is2

On my bicycle ride this morning I took some videos of the amazing dragonflies that are cruising the dunes. https://imgur.com/gallery/u5E0Wah I also took a photo of a Thatcher Ant den, they get a lot larger than this up to 6ft I've read, but this one is pretty impressive given the size of an ant. I also took some Audio of the Scotchbroom, an invasive sand loving plant that puts on 'pea pods' that require hot days to 'POP' open with snap-crackle and fling the seeds through the air. We could see century digits on the coast today as summer closes out on a hot note. I predict this is the last hot / dry week of the year.3

My strength training has been halted this week as I think I've pulled a muscle in my glutes. This was then aggravated when I tripped yesterday whilst out shopping & landed on all fours 😩
Even sitting down is painful so I couldn't do my Dance Fit class yesterday.12 -
@izzyred9400 Ugh, that's rough! I hope you will recover soon. I also did an all fours landing a few days ago. I tripped over a stick while holding a basket of weeds I pulled. Thankfully nothing damaged here, but it wasn't nice!2

I came across this article and it was a great reminder…
“You can’t undo the ill effects of a poor diet simply by squeezing in an extra session at the gym or lifting a heavier weight.”
When I was on WW years ago, I did not exercise much, and I always lost the weight because of the massive calorie deficit that plan follows.
I was just at a barbecue, and a friend was talking about how she religiously does her Peloton and how she is not losing weight. Other friends were all commenting on how they know how hard she works out because of the shared stats feature. I asked her how many calories she’s taking in a day and she said I don’t know, but it can’t be that much and I’m working out so hard.
That conversation got me thinking about how exercise and diet are not interchangeable when it comes to weight loss. I have to remind myself of that when I want to binge and think I can exercise that off. Maybe this will resonate with someone else-so I’m sharing

I know a couple members talked about this recently but there’s too many comments to sift through to find the comments. Sorry!

Yesterday, I worked out with free weights in the morning and then relaxed and read while it rained after work. I have to say-I loved that downtime!
I’ll be at a water park today so I won’t be recording many steps today since I use my phone to do that5 -

yup this is my life in a nutshell. the only time in my life that i've sucessfully lost meaningful weight was when i stopped exercising and focussed solely on food tracking and maintaining a calorie deficit. in the back of my mind i was enjoying the results but knew i was missing a huge component of a healthy lifestyle.
i've made adjustments to how i exercise, less on high intensity, sweating buckets and more on strength and zone 2 cycling. my food goals are to track each day but not worry about being super accurate - just the act of logging can be enough to remind myself not to go crazy.
my RMT even commented that he can feel my muscle tone has really changed so i have something to be happy about!6 -

Hi @Itadakimasu7
I'm catching up on past posts. Last week you posted about your blueberry picking! That's so cool! I love that journey for you! I'm inspired to know what I like that with a reason distance from me. I'm close to the city - Chicago.3 -

So, chiropractor early this morning. Some pain still. But it is what it is.
Work was eerily quiet and slow with customers but donations were overflowing. Needless to say, I'm tired, sore, and still have pain. Tylenol 8 hour Arthritis to the rescue this afternoon. Usually the day after my adjustment is when I feel the best. And I normally feel most relaxed the day of and the day after my adjustments.5 -
Hi @dancingonstarz
I'm catching up on past posts. Thanks for sharing the pics from your walk last week. Beautiful view!2 -
Hi All
I'm catching up on past posts.
@pupowl - I hope you are feeling better.
@jessicakrall8 - I love that you used to have a piano studio. An Aunt of mine used to play. It is a goal of mine to learn how to play. I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation.
@Itadakimasu7 amazing dragonflies!4
