Friday Weigh-In
PW: 277.1
CW: 274.8
I am starting to consistently hit my protein goal! It's 90g+ per day per my new NP which seemed really daunting at first but I have been loving my meal and snack choices this week; seared halloumi or a protein chocolate milk after work, air fried popcorn chicken (from the freezer), a simple fresh herby greek salad with feta, some creamy polenta all for dinner. String cheese for breakfast. Lunch is still probably the hardest for me to plan but that's just something to work on.
I drive to PA for a wedding today so it will be another weekend of eating meals out/cant control as much but I am bringing my protein powder with me! 😅
Happy weekend waistaways! I'm behind on posts again but hope to read through soon.5 -
Off to a golf tournament in Canmore today for work.
It's a pretty nice course so to be able to play for free is such a privledge.
My golf game sucks but so be it. Nice to be out getting some steps! And can't drink cause I have to drive. Woot woot!6 -
Happy Friday!
Some lovely green coming in to our spreadsheet - good work! Of course, having our one male human back on board gives us some really good numbers when he's on track, eh? Go Brad! (we then turn green with envy...)4 -
@wishfuljune Scary about the accident but you handled yourself well. Glad you and the pup are ok. I love Abbey's Kitchen and her YouTube content... she is the queen of the Hunger Crushing Combo!
@MaddawgMadsen Thinking of you and your husband as you navigate this difficult news together. Thanks for sharing.2 -

I’m on the struggle bus with exercise and motivation for it. Funny how easy it is to fall out of exercise while it takes weeks to get a routine in place.3 -
@ashleycarole86 - good luck at the golf tournament! If you're having fun, then you're doing well regardless of what the score says!
I made it to spin class today and I hope to get through the CrossFit class I have scheduled for noon. It will be 1/2 tempo for me, but it will be so nice to be back!
Thank you everyone for the kind words. This forum has turned out to be exactly what I need to stay focused on my goals, but also to have somewhere to share.2 -
So after I posted my weight and pity party about exercise, I went out and walked a little over half a mile before the rain started. I have all the tools I need to exercise. Added bonus, I live in Hawaii. It’s just those negative, depressing thoughts that were starting to win.
Thanks for letting me post so I can work through it5 -

That is so good! And you DID lose almost a pound since last week - so pat yourself on the back about that too.
It really is easy to fall off the exercise habit - but just like all the rest of the tools we use, we just need to get started again. You did well today - and you can have another beautiful day tomorrow. Posting helps for sure!

SUCH a beautiful day here today! Sunny and just warm enough - and of course that means a nice long ride with Jasper. He was full of energy today so there were nice long trotting sessions - good for both of us, exercise-wise. We were with our friends (my friend and her mare) so it was even more fun.
I love the feeling of the change of season (happy equinox on Saturday!) and coming home after riding to a lovely bowl of orange soup. Everything in it is orange or close to it. It is my cool and cold weather go-to. It has sweet potato, carrots, red lentils, turmeric, ginger (both fresh if possible), and vegetable broth. And a lot of coarsely ground pepper - everything blended up after cooking to make a nice thick soup. Today was the first bowl since last winter, and it sure tasted good.
Time for the Saturday people, and anyone left over from before Saturday - number party!!

Weigh In Day: Saturday
PW: 78.9
CW: 78.7
Started back at Parkrun while I was away last weekend. Feels good to be getting back to my normal exercise. It definitely makes a difference to mood and motivation, and the better mindset helps with making healthy food choices.4 -

Happy Friday! Off and running and ready for a pleasant weekend seeing my daughters in the morning at a coffee shop in Fairlee and then see friends from a chorus I sang with for 30 years. We’ll celebrate the Director’s 70th birthday in the afternoon. We’ll have some time to dance as well as visit and eat. Good combination!
Have a lovely weekend.6 -
Good morning WaistAways!

I'm a few days late. I forgot to get on the scale Thursday. I needed to go into work early that day to get off in time for my kids cross country meet. I remembered today and I am absolutely thrilled to be in the 230's! I've just been plugging away at hitting my food goals and getting exercise.7 -
I went to body pump and it didn't feel extra hard on me! I guess my lungs have finally healed enough from the virus I had after my trip. It took me almost 3 weeks to get to this point! Anyway, time to get back to it regularly now. I am also planning on increasing my cardio as I have slacked off on this for months. Like @wdalzell5401 said, it's easier to make good nutrition choices when I exercise.6

Sorry I have been very quiet here, there is a lot going on, hopefully once things calm down a little I'll be a bit more active here.
In the meantime, I'm trying to eat mindfully with mixed results. Not logging food and losing very slowly which is better than gaining but not good enough...8 -

Wow, another bad week of steps. Even though I couldn't do moderate exercise, I could have gone for walks around the neighborhood. Well it's a new day today and the rain is gone from Ophelia!
NSV: yesterday I said no to chocolate cake, pumpkin pie, ane chocolate creme pie! Went to my MIL with my SIL visiting and then to a friend's birthday party. I am proud of that (which doesn't make up for eating 2 donuts at work Friday 😝).5 -
