Hey y'all:
I finished out my walking goals for the month of October. My goal was 60 intentional miles walked and I hit 66! Also, I finished every badge I had tried for with Garmin for the month AND had a personal challenge of walking with four other team mates from Shape Shifters and I had the most steps out of the four! YAY ME MONTH! I'm really proud of myself.
You guys sound like you're meeting your goals for 2023 as well. Anything set specifically for the month of November??? I just know you'll surprise yourselves!!

Had another chocolate free day yesterday
It was my husband’s birthday and I managed to celebrate with him AND without chocolate at the same time 😀
You are an inspiration! I had another alcohol free day today and feel completely back on track after my minor weekend indulgence. One of the ways I like to "celebrate" having no alcohol is to exercise in the evening while I watch an episode of something. Last night I did my fastest 10 miles on the exercise bike! It was an exciting episode3 -

You GO Jessica!! That is definitely a yay me month!
I'm keeping away from sugar this week and will try to get that to last through the month. I am not attempting absolute zero, but as close as I can get! I will be having Thanksgiving dinner with my dad at his care home in Massachusetts, so I know there will be some dessert happening on that day, but otherwise will work at keeping those trigger-y foods away. And of course, I'm staying alcohol free for as many of these 100 days possible.2 -
Another chocolate free day ….2

Another alcohol free day -- we're on a roll!2
-
I was tempted with chocolate today - but I resisted and didn’t have any 🎉🎉🎉3
-
It was Friday! I did not stop by the store for any alcohol to mark that fact. The idea to do so passed through my head quickly and did not give me any trouble!3

Finished my week covering for my colleague at work...overall, I'd give it a 7 out of 10 score. I made a few mistakes, but was able to fix most of them, with a few having to be escalated to the team in the head office. I received positive feedback from nearly everyone I interacted with during the week. There were a few system issues outside of my control and I will continue to discuss those with the escalation team and my colleague on Monday when she returns. It was definitely a learning experience.
I am feeling it today and slept like the dead last night. Will be resting all weekend. Going to take a walk now and do some more around the house. Have a wonderful weekend!

Another chocolate free day for me.. 😀3

Just checking in. Dancing in the mornings is working well. I dead by evening. Keep up the good work.2
-
A chocolate free Sunday for me. Still hanging in there!2
-
We're almost half way there! There are 53 days left to this year. Of the 47 we have gone so far, 41 have been alcohol free for me. Aiming for 90%. Sitting at 87% so far. Getting there!2
-
Ha! Funny!! I’m right there with you @jugar!
After having a bit of chocolate yesterday (after breaking chocolate fast on Monday as well) I thought last night to myself… “Self - let’s aim for 90%!” I’ve slipped 6 times now, including 2 this week. My blood sugar Tuesday morning was 111 after having a few chocolates Monday evening. No chocolate Tuesday and my blood sugar was down to 81 Wednesday morning.
It’s amazing as to how the sugar affects my blood sugar at my age. I believe alcohol had kept my blood pressure a bit high in the past, and when I stopped alcohol most days my blood pressure dropped to normal and I was able to completely stop blood pressure medicine.
I’m not diabetic at all, just trying to stave it off and I see how chocolate is a big culprit for me when it comes to keeping level blood sugar.1 -
@daria0919 You are amazing to keep track of your sugar and experiment with the effects of diet. I never had any blood pressure issues even when drinking, but both alcohol and sugar certainly increase my pulse rate in ways that are sometimes uncomfortable. It feels good to be keeping off both of them as much as possible. Today I had more sugar than usual, but still no alcohol. 90% it is!2

Hi all, well, I flopped on my BLABs plan! I caught a nasty cold and, to be honest, I still don't feel fully cleared of it. This affected my strength, energy and appetite. I rested and slept a lot so that I could get back to work as soon as possible. I'm happily eating again and, thankfully, my husband has been making big pots of soup so that's perfect for easy meals. He's currently making a spicy bean, tomato and pepper soup and the smells are making my tummy rumble. I'm also getting more steps each day and can face doing exercises again. On that note, if you don't mind, I'll jump in for the final 50 days 😊
I've read through all of your posts and have to send a huge applause for your endurance and success

Wonderful! Let's make these last 50 days count! Soup is a great way to get back at it. So glad you're starting to feel better2 -
So, in the first 50 days, I had 43 with no alcohol. In order to make my final 90% goal by the end of the 100 days, I have only 4 more possible slippages. I think I can make it!3
-
@JUGAR That's an awesome accomplishment!! WTG!
@BodyTalking That's great advice...let's take 2023 out with a bang!! I'm trying to stay consistent with my walking, even if I can't always do it at the same time every day due to my work schedule, I still do it daily. I have a new walking challenge starting on the 13th and running through Dec 10th by our wellness club at work. Hoping to win that if possible!!

I had morel chocolate free days yesterday and Thursday.3

Good luck in your walking challenge @jessicakrall8 🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼♀️ we'll be cheering you on!
Well done @jugar and @daria0919 on all those free days!1 -
Well, I am not sure where I slipped off the 100 days, but I did. I am climbing back on the 100-day boat with you amazing people. Btw, how do you guys do the spoiler where you can have a tracker or whatever? Thank you.1

And welcome back on the boat! We're more than halfway there - and you can help keep the energy fresh and going forward!
I'm visiting my mom with my son - and all AF so far. Planning to finish the rest of the month AF. So far so good!1 -
Broke my chocolate fast last night with some Halloween chocolates a coworker brought to work. Oh well….. 7 days of chocolate total. Still time to behave the remaining days left in this 100 day challenge.2

Only 7 days out of 53 is pretty danged good if you ask me. You're doing great!
I am at 6 out of 53 where I have had alcohol, and working to keep it to 10 max out of 100 by the end of December 31. Then keep on going from there!1 -
Ugh! I am struggling to even dance. I need to plan out my week better. If I don't, everyone else gets me instead of me getting my stuff done. I will try to get back to the tracker and my dance. I did sort of dance while driving. lol.1
-
@Learningmoments I'm having fun picturing you dancing while driving! It's a great way to keep the other drivers entertained, too. But your point of planning in your dance time is really important. Make it like an appointment with a really important person - you can even invent a name for this important person! And you'd better be there, or they'll be disappointed
I had a close call with thoughts of grabbing some beer to go with my supper tonight. I'm away from home, had a meeting right after a flight, now I'm overnight in Montreal before going home tomorrow evening, and there will be a really intense day of meetings tomorrow. Beer sounded (in my head) like a really good idea, but luckily coconut water did too. The right thing won out, and I'm really glad. I'll feel better, sleep better, and not be tempted to eat more! Holding steady at 6 "lesson" days out of the 100 last days of the year so far. 55 days done, 45 to go!2 -
I've had a couple of really tough days this week, with sickness and stress...not a great combination. BUT, I've come out of it now...feeling better and I've kicked up my walking another degree or two. Competition in the wellness club where I work...determined to win it!
Now on vacation, but every day will be a new time to walk it out!!
Enjoy your weekend!
