@Pupowl -- oooh it looks magical and like the stump is home to a little gnome family or something, wow! Tinus looks quite grumpy about the state of the weather, he's so cute.
I love snow! I hope we get a little dusting this year. Currently we have an 'atmospheric river' overhead but it's a rainforest so generally most things are adapted to moisture. We have what I call, 'ditch ducks' when the ditches and backyards are so full of water that ducks come and float around in it. They expect us to get 6" of rain in 24 hours so we'll get a little local flooding maybe.
Have a great day everyone! Oh yeah - and can I skip in weigh in this week? I have a bad GI and I forgot to hop on the scale. With the colitis I'll be up a few pounds on the scale from inflammation anywho.
Cheers!4 -

Laura, Tinus doesn't look happy with the snow but we might get some slushie weather over the next couple of days. It's something for me to be excited about. I've got a grocery order coming in on Thursday morning early so it's in time for this weather front. Yes5 -

Guys, I had a weird thing happen, a salesman who kept trying to get inside my home. Finally I was like - you know, you have to leave. Goodbye....GOODBYE. And I got the door shut and locked it but it was scary. The more I said no, the madder he got.
So I text my neighbor across the street and say, hey lookout for this guy he's going around and he's really creepy. She texted me back later and said, well he never came round her door at all.
Maybe nothing but it was really unpleasant. I wouldn't have opened the door but it sounded like someone was trying to open it, and I thought it was my daughter. She brought over a few things last night and I thought, oh, she's forgot something. Oi' very creepy.

You never know that'll happen any more gf. Things keep getting creepier2 -
@Itadakimasu7 That sounds terrifying! Not okay at all. Especially since your first clue he was there was that he was trying to come in the house. If that happened here, I think I’d call the police and report it, but I don’t know your circumstances.
@Pupowl Tinus looks so mad. He’s very expressive.

Hello Shape Shifters. This morning was a bit warmer, but it was also very gloomy. The snow had melted quite a bit and I was pretty sure a forest walk would be an absolute muddy disaster. So I biked to the barn where they house the sheep herd because there is a short family walk that starts there that is completely paved so that is the walk I did. The roads were all clear, so biking wasn't a problem. I do wish I had dressed a little differently. It was really wet and especially in the forest part of the walk it was pretty much like being rained on because of all the snow falling out of the trees. I was wearing a sweater and a body warmer instead of my softshell coat, so I got pretty wet. During the walk I was fine and I enjoyed myself, but biking home I got really cold.
After I changed, I went to post the cards I wrote last night, I got myself a spatula and I got groceries. Then I did laundry and some more cleaning. Pancake number 3 looked really pretty, though I used a bit too much oil. Almost done working out the perfect way to make it though!
I got one more present for my mom delivered, though this one is actually for her birthday next month. There was a bird feeder she wanted and she has been complaining a lot about her current one and how hard it is to clean. Instead of making her wait another month for it, I decided to get it for her early so she can enjoy it already. For myself I got a pair of gaiters. I noticed during my walks I often kick up stuff that ends up in my shoes and it was really annoying me. So I looked on amazon and I found a cute pair that was very light weight and afforable. I am looking forward to testing them tomorrow when I can walk with my mom. Happy Wednesday everyone5 -
@Itadakimasu7 @Armygirlarmyof1 @SavageMrsMoose I think Tinus always looks mad! He has a b*tchy resting catface, but yes, he is adorable anyway. I hope everyone who wants snow is getting it! The 'ditch ducks' made me laugh.6

@Pupowl -- Oh those sheep look so noble and beautiful. What kind are they, do you know? They look very different from the little black faced white curly coated ones I've seen here.
It's raining again, but let up a bit this morning and I road my bike the usual 6.5 mile loop.
On a clear day we can sometimes see Mt. St. Helens the famous volcano.
The weird guy didn't show back up. My husband has the day off so I feel better that he's here. He's currently covered in cats playing old 90's video games. :-P He's lost 40lbs while I've been dieting - and I'm about the same.

@pupowl Please excuse me from this week's weigh in...I'm coming down with something and dealing with swelling due to the extra stress and OT I'm dealing with at work. Sorry for disappearing last night, but once I got home, I went straight to bed. Thanks for keeping up with everything...you're the bestest!

@Itadakimasu7 Yes, they are the Drents heideschaap, Drenthe Heath Sheep in English. Drenthe is the name of the province where I live. If you want to read a little more, here is an English webpage about the flock. https://www.schaapskudderuinen.nl/en/sheep-herd/
Love the pictures from your bike rides!
@jessicakrall8 No worries, that's what I am herefor! Hope you get to relax soon.4 -

Hello Shape Shifters! Here’s my weekly weigh-in report:
Name — PatriceFitnessPal
Weigh in day — Thursday
PW — 143
CW — 142.7
SW — 168
LtD — 25.3
My goal is to maintain my weight between 125 and 130. I’m also working to add more protein in my diet. The idea is to maintain muscle while reducing fat but I have trouble getting the right balance of macronutrients. On the days I workout harder, I’m eating a bit more, but still not getting enough lean protein. I have osteopenia so my doctor said she wants to order a bone density scan every couple of years to measure any changes. I had my first scan in 2021 and the doctor told me to add more strength training using my body weight. I’ve also been taking calcium chews. I’ll continue to seek out healthy high-protein foods and see if there’s an improvement on my next DEXA scan in terms of both body composition and bone density.
Best wishes for the coming week, team! Go get those goals!3 -
Never in a million years did I think this was possible 😊. Never give up

What a beautiful, round number, and an amazing accomplishment. That’s fantastic and I smile every time I see a photo of you with your friends, family, and the exercise clients you are inspiring through your work! Congratulations on living your best life and inspiring others! I love the way you’re ‘paying it forward’ by sharing your success with others so they can learn from your experience. 🎉🤩🎉4

Cold, cloudy and worked on my Christmas cards - I handmade mine with stamps/paper so no walk outside - I did a slow flow yoga class at my studio early yesterday morning5 -
@SavageMrsMoose -- Your house and tree are amazing. At this time of year I sneak off and watch Christmas Romance movies, like Lifetime / Hallmark channel, and it looks like a movie set
@Pupowl -- I think in a past life I herded sheep because I am still thinking about them and how majestic and amazing they are. My son-in-law is a park ranger at our local National Park and I told him all about the sheep ;-P They just look so noble.
@nancyinmo -- Congrats! That's an amazing accomplishment!!
Everyone in my family is working odd hours the next three weeks and altered schedules, oi. My big calico cat snuck up on and killed my sock this morning then proud walked it around my room before laying it down besides my other sock. I'm waiting for my family to leave for the day to get in my workout and make a new plan to get into shape / lose weight. I really need to change a few things.

@nancyinmo Congratulations on your fantastic weight loss. You have reached your goal & stuck at it even with all the life changes you've had over the last few months.Wish I could attend one of your classes 😄
@Pupowl great that you've managed to lose the weight after your splurge. It seems practice makes perfect with your pancakes.I love them but only seem to get round to make some when it's annual Pancake Day.The secret is to not use too much oil & make sure the pan is smoking hot before you put the batter in.I always make a mess of the first one & throw it away.
You see,cooking isn't sooo bad 😏
@SavageMrsMoose your tree looks wonderful ,I bet it took you a while to decorate & your house looks so cozy & inviting.
@Itadakimasu7 love your cat 🐈 stories & the photos of your bike rides.Hope you have got over your scare with the pushy salesman, not nice to feel uncomfortable in your own home.
I'm going on a coach trip with 3 girlfriends tomorrow.Going to a Garden Centre then a visit to a Stately Home.I'm hoping it will be decorated for Christmas, looking forward to my girlie time.5 -
