HOW IT ALL WORKS: The February challenge runs for weeks, from February 4 - March 2. F2F months always start on a Sunday and end on a Saturday, so adjust your calendars!

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard.

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love! Introduce yourselves right away, and let the Leap Month begin!!

Hi everyone! A big welcome to the new team members, and welcome back to the returning members, I am so glad you are here!

I am one of your Mission Slimpossibles captains along with the fabulous @Katmary71! Our motivator is the hilarious and insightful @19shmoo69!

    CHECK-IN PROCESS
Along with our weekly weigh-ins, we REALLY encourage our team members to participate in regular check-ins. It’s a great way to stay accountable to yourself and it allows the team to cheer you on and offer support as you need it. We are a community, and we are stronger together!

    CHANGES TO YOUR WEIGH-IN DAY/WEIGHTS
If you have any changes to your weigh-in day or reported weights, be sure to tag @Katmary71 who handles all of that stuff. She also handles moving people to cheerleader status/or other status changes.

LET'S GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER
Please share a little bit about you: your name, where you live, and what brought you to the Fat2Fit Challenge Group. Also share anything else you would like to, including any goals for the year. We are here to support and cheer you as you go through your weight loss adventure!

    MY INTRODUCTION
Hi everyone. My name is Chris. I live in Southern California with my husband, cute one-eyed pirate pug named Daisy (8 yrs old) and pug pup name Violet who is going to be 2 yrs old in June. Up until my mid-20s, I was a healthy weight but then the mid-20s hit and along with that came medications that made me gain weight as well as poor lifestyle choices. For exercise, I like to walk with my husband and friends.
I have about 65 lbs to lose. My hobbies: reading, making artwork and crafts, photography, and cooking. I do straight-up calorie counting of healthy foods with MFP Premium.
Now, it's your turn! Tell us about YOU!

I invite you to join me on a quest for a NO ZERO DAYS 2024! What is No Zero Days? There are 4 simple ideas behind this:

There are no more zero days. A zero day is when you don’t do anything towards your goals. But that doesn’t mean you have to go full-throttle on your goals each day, no, just do something small if you have to, do a single push-up, walk to the mailbox, drink one less soda…anything not to report a zero day. Do one thing to make your life better each day.

Be grateful to the 3 YOUs: the past you, the present you, and the future you! Be GRATEFUL to the past you for the positive things you’ve done. Did you do that push-up yesterday? THANK YOU YOUNGER ME. Second part of the 3 me’s is you gotta do your future self a favor, just like you would for your best friend. Tired and can’t get off reddit/videogames/interwebs? This one’s for future me, i’m gonna rock out p90x Ab Ripper X for 17 minutes. I’m doing this one for future me. Alarm clock goes off and bed is too comfy? This one’s for my best friend, the future me. I’m up and going for a 5 km run (or 25 meter run, it’s gotta be non zero). MAKE SURE YOU THANK YOUR OLD SELF for rocking out at the end of every.single.thing. that makes your life better. The cycle of doing something for someone else (future you) and thanking someone for the good in your life (past you) is key to building gratitude and productivity.

FORGIVE YOURSELF. Tried your best to have a nonzero day yesterday and it failed? so what. I forgive you previous self. I forgive you. But today? Today is a nonzero masterpiece to the best of my ability for future self.

Exercise and books: exercise is self-explanatory but the books, read a self-improvement book…reading gets you to the next level!

Here’s more detailed information and where I got the above info:

@Katmary71 I'm glad your meeting was good. Thank you! You have quite a selection of tea, don't you? Your new cup sounds cute. I hope you weren't in too much pain at the event.

    @19shmoo69 HAHAHAHA!

@sleepygirl79 The joke was funny but your story was hilarious!

    @micaroo4 Cool adventure ideas.

Hi all. As if things weren't stressful enough, yesterday my dogs got into a fight and I was trying to separate them and got bit. There was an area on my hand by the base of my pinky that swelled up the size of a walnut with pooling blood underneath. It was super scary so I went to urgent care. My skin wasn't broken but the size of the swelling scared me. I was thinking, "blood infection" but they looked at it and took X-rays and it turned out fine. Today, it's much better. As a result, I didn't cook last night. We got stuff for sandwiches instead.

Hello, I’m Teresa. I was a long-time member, but home life got really crazy, so I stepped away for about a year. But I missed this group and needed the accountability. I had lost 80 lbs and put almost 60 pounds back on. But I decided that this year was the year to change all that. I can’t stop the changes that are happening with my husband’s dementia and all the stress that comes with that. But I can change the things I can, and my weight and health must also be priorities. :)

I live with my husband, Joe, mom, and little fur baby, Maggie Mae. My sister was living with me but is now staying with her daughter, who just had her fourth baby. You will hear me talk about my great-nieces and nephews because I adore them! >3 I work for my church as their Admin. Assistant, and I am very fortunate that it's a super flexible job that I get to do mostly from home. I also love doing jigsaw puzzles! :)

@trooworld Yikes, I am so sorry that you got bit. Why were your dogs fighting? Is that usual for them? I’m glad you weren’t seriously hurt.

Good morning! I am so happy it’s Saturday, and I don't have to work out for the next two days. Yesterday was bis and tris, and Shaun T did these reverse bicep curls that have my forearms crying this morning. I slept in until almost 7:30, which was late, but I needed it. I plan to do my floors today and some other housework and then chill out with my puzzle. Tomorrow is our new pastor’s first official day, and we are having a potluck lunch afterward. I will be making an Italian pasta salad and a sundried tomato dip. I bought the dip mix at Cracker Barrel, so hopefully, it will be good. :)

    Introduction: 🌸
Hi, my name is Josey. I'm a wife and mommy of two in my early 30s. I live in New York City. I started with Mission Slimpossibles in November 2023. My hobbies include singing, art, crafts, photography, nature, and gaming. I also love animals and have a calico kitty. I have been using Myfitnesspal since 2009 with great success losing over 90lbs and reaching my fitness goals. I was able to mantain up until 2019 when covid hit. Due to stress and family crisis, I let myself go, stopped using mfp, and gained back all I lost.
I have lost 26 lbs so far since last year and have 60lbs more to lose. I currently workout at home with HIIT cardio on my bike/elliptical and strength train with resistance bands.

My goals for 2024: Is to be healthier and fitter than last year so I can be a better self and for my family, which is most important than a number on a scale and to relearn healthy food habits and love and appreciate my self and my body by choosing what is best for myself in all areas of my life.

I am very thankful for this group which helps support, encourage and keep me accountable. Here's to all of us reaching our goals this year! 💪✨

Hi everyone! I'm Kathy, I'm a Captain of Mission Slimpossibles along with my awesome friend @trooworld. We have long-term member @19shmoo69 as our motivator. I've been on this team for about 5 years and was a motivator until recently when our last co-captain stepped down. I'm 52 and live in the Sacramento area, CA with my two 4-year-old cats. I've been dealing with chronic pain and health issues for quite awhile and had my 5th back surgery a few months ago. I file claims part-time then volunteer at the food bank farm and am secretary of a local charity that keeps me pretty busy. I also have a good-sized garden at home, love to read, watch movies, and go to concerts. I have my diabetes under control with diet and eat low-moderate carbs. I do chair cardio, weighs and strength training, and stretching (plus PT) as exercise. I'm also trying treatments at a holistic clinic.

We're so happy you're here, let's have an amazing February!

    Hi All!

I’m a mom of 3, married for 30 years now. Somehow still feeling young 😂 I’ve been with this amazing group for a year and mfp for ages. I lost over 70lbs here. After some health issues, I gained some back, so I returned, found you all and started losing it. I’ve been struggling since my husband’s accident this past summer but am finding my way back. I’m trying to keep to my low carb, every 3 hours meals with 10k steps daily. Some days are better than others. This group has been so supportive and I really appreciate everyone.

@txcritter69 I hope you’re feeling better since you got on antibiotics.

@trooworld how’s your brother in law doing? Sorry about the pooches fighting and you getting bit. How’s your bite now?

@Katmary71 thanks for the kind words (jan thread) and as for my cyst, I’m high risk for surgery so it is monitored every 6 months. My kidney check up was moved from 6 months to a year and neurology is still at 6 months. I’m happy that my tests are coming back with good results, nothing worse.

I enjoy your post about all the charity work. You really keep us inspired. You’re doing amazing.

@littlebabekitty your intro sounds similar to how I came back. So glad we have this group. You’ll do amazing.

@morenin you’re on a good path. Definitely start slow, so you don’t burn out. You can add on as things get easier. That helped me a lot.

@micaroo4 you are an inspiration with your walking. I get happy when I see your numbers. Then I’m like get up and move. 😂

@19shmoo69 thanks for the fun posts!

@TeresaW2024 how’d the pastor’s first day go? I imagine it was fun.

@Veta2018 congratulations on your upcoming grandbaby. Soon enough you’ll be chasing baby feet around the house.

@tammymccrady6278 sorry about the loss of your fur baby. I hope your heart is healing.

    ———

Well it’s been a hard week here. My aunt passed away, my eldest got sick again and then myself yesterday. You know when it rains it pours. Otherwise, we’re all managing.

Have a great day. Sorry for any posts I missed, I’m trying to catch up.
