Forgot to finish the question sorry about that! I mostly listen to metal when I work out, I listened to this band A LOT when I first started here and it's great for cardio, it's considered symphonic metal though they're the main one I like in particular this singer and their singer now who is my fav. https://youtu.be/LUy8T_3kieI?si=TqyjJAPXIH6PFQB7
I'm still doing Mongolian Metal on Mondays and Thrash on Thursdays, Funk and R&B Fridays. I have 80s rap, 80s hair metal, 80s high energy, pop, and stuff like that. After metal my fav is R&B. Then I have an instrumental playlist with all kinds of fun music from heartbreaking Schindler's List to Middle Eastern metal and this beautiful piece: https://youtu.be/iO7ySn-Swwc?si=TrunfUVChGWh045j I played the organ for 6 years as a kid so I'm familiar with a lot of classical. I have a Lindsey Sterling playlist too which is violin. Not a big current pop or current rap fan but I like the older stuff then also like some country. LOVE disco too! At night I tend to listen to hang drums or Native American flute like this that calms the nervous system: https://youtu.be/c0hx_T6ztbs?si=SQyRXWc1edIJPB8z

@buniphuphu - I believe you're never to old to learn something new. You have a great weight loss plan, now to put it in action. Let's shed some pounds together!

@trooworld - I hope your husband feels better soon. I hope you don't get yourself in trouble at work either.

@TeresaW2024 - I hope things get easier for you with Joe. Try to not put your needs on the back burner. You are important!

@19shmoo69 - Thank you for sharing your story, it's inspiring. Great Ice Breaker Thursday topic. I love listening to music. Thanks for sharing your play list. I really enjoyed your workout playlist. I don't know a lot of those songs but I've been listening anyways. It's nice to listen to something different. I like music from many different genres. I don't have any playlists programmed. I just type in a song and/or band that fits my mood and let the app I'm using, continue randomly playing similar music.
Oldies - like Thin Lizzy, Jim Croce, and Gladys Knight. Hair bands -like Tesla, Montly Crue, and Scorpions. Hard rock - like Iron Maiden, Godsmack, and Staind. Classic country- like Johnny Cash, Sammy Kershaw and Little Texas. Current Country - like Morgan Wallen, Kelsea Ballerini, and Lee Brice. Hip hop- like N.W.A, Naughty By Nature, and Eminem. R&B - like Marvin Gaye, Tina Turner and Beyoncé. New music - like Gracie Abrams, and Olivia Rodrigo and the list goes on....

    @askewcr - Let's go get it!!

Austin here, with a belated check-in! It's so inspiring to read all this!
Today was a good No Zero Day:
🟢 Food was on plan and under my calorie goal. I need to eat more veggies. Ah, well, I will get there. No zero!
🟡 Movement was under goal. I did get a little walking in and ran the stairs a few times, so not a zero!
🟢 I had a meeting where I was seated next to a huge platter of cookies. I skipped them and had a protein cookie afterwards. Yay!
Now off to do some meditation and get some good sleep!

@19shmoo69 - I'm kind of an old rocker, so the music that moves me is likewise old. I don't have playlists. Well, I do have a workout playlist on alexa. Anyway, I'll offer up one of my favorite groups: The Cars. Here's "You Might Think"

@19shmoo69 LOL I think you can say it even before you were motivator! :D Very inspirational playlists. Quite different from mine lol. Thanks for sharing!

@TeresaW2024 Yes, I do! Thank you, me too. My job is very understanding, luckily. I'm so glad you got girlfriend time! Great job with the sugar fast! That was very nice of the new pastor. HUGS to you, friend.

    @askewcr Congrats on the loss!

@morenin I read the Welcome to Night Vale book. I'm glad you are enjoying the podcast! I hope you guys feel better soon. That's awesome the 20s fit.

@Katmary71 Well, good luck speed-reading it lol. It's still raining here today, I can't believe how much rain we've had. Heart-shaped pizza sounds good...a paint night sounds fun (I know you just did one of those though)...a wine bar night. Lots of stuff to do! I love that you have themed music days!

@Katmary71 and @19shmoo69 I LOVED getting to know you better, Darren! Great responses, thanks for sharing! And Kat, thanks for doing that.

@Veta2018 Thank you! I won't get in trouble, don't worry! I have a very understanding boss and workplace.

@AustinRuadhain Great day and good job skipping the platter of cookies!

Hi all. My husband is doing a little better but still has a 100F fever. If he's still sick tomorrow, it's off to urgent care. I am still stressed but I guess a little less so? My hand looks better from the dog bite.

    Belated Ice Breaker Answer

I listen to a bunch of different things. I love 80's music (pop, punk, grunge, etc), classic Motown, 50's classics, jazz of many kinds, western classical. So much lovely music in the world.

Here are a few current favorites:

King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard
Bluesy jazzy piece by maybe the most amazing band going right now.

    Gary Clark Jr
His remake of "Come Together" by the Beatles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r7imYeuAfkg

Men I Trust: Canadian indie band

    Weigh In Day: Friday
    PW: 333.9
    CW: 332.1

I'm really pleased to see the scale moving back in the right direction after falling off the wagon for most of December and all of January. With even the small changes I've made, I can tell I feel a bit better. Yesterday, my daughter was heading to the vending machine and asked if I wanted a Sprite, and I almost said yes out of recent habit, but I told her that I had plenty of water. Score one for NO ZERO DAYS!

@Veta2018 I love most of the music you named, Tesla is a hometown band in Sacramento and one of the previous members played with his new band around the corner from my house, I’m bummed I wasn’t able to go. I’m watching a Run DMC show on Peacock right now!
@AustinRuadhain Now I’m curious to check out your diary, it used to be all produce when I would peek at it! Five high fives for all those “no zero days” win!
@micaroo4 Love The Cars, that song is stuck in my head just seeing that video posted!

@trooworld I saw the funniest painting for a sip and paint, it was a llama with glasses with two flowers in it’s mouth that is a sip and paint you can go do. I sent it to my brother and thanked him for the tree! I’m leaning toward the pizza just because it’s a little less expensive than a nice restaurant, I’m guessing most restaurants are booked now. I actually ended my workout today listening to another of those “Pass the Mike” Soul Train videos! You’re welcome, I loved Darren’s responses to our questions it was great to read, thank you for contributing most of the questions. I love Ice T’s (or Body Count’s) version of Institutionalized! There’s a Run DMC series on Peacock right now you might enjoy! I saw a Prince one but unless it’s new I’ve seen all of them. I hope your husband keeps feeling better and won’t need to go to urgent care. I love your rap and punk playlists lots of good songs!

@AustinRuadhain Oh love the “Come Together” remake! Mannenberg is beautiful, I don’t think I’ve ever heard it. Hearing it while reading the story is very moving, thank you for sharing it. Love seeing your plans, how did your day go did you hit your goals?

@buniphuphu Woohoo you go, you’re doing great! It always feels wonderful when you start seeing signs that your changes are working.

@laurelfit57 I hope once the dust settles and you adjust to this medication change you’ll be feeling a lot better. I’m so glad you and Vannie are enjoying the new puppy, what a beautiful pup! She’s obviously very comfortable at your house look at that belly pose! They’re too cute together. For the weigh-in would you like to be part of the cheerleader squad for now so you don’t have to worry about weigh-ins until you’re stabilized? Let me know when you get the chance so I can pass it on.

@txcritter69 Oh no shoot I’m sorry to hear that on the allergies! I’m glad they aren’t as bad as usual. I’m so glad the food journal is working out well for you. A ripped gum definitely doesn’t need a Dorito corner in it right now, wise to be careful!

@Veta2018 Oh perfect have you listened to 2Cellos? They’re like Lindsey Sterling as far as bringing an instrument into different genres, hard to pick just one song but here you go: https://youtu.be/x8yymm3DtVA?si=Vljh5pHfvXK1GKp4 Eating at home does help a lot as you never know how much oil or butter is in other’s food. What are you trying to improve by reassessing your habits? Are you struggling with hunger or weakness? I hope the changes help! When I first lost I ate low calorie and worked out all the time, I didn’t realize going so low on protein was the reason I was weak and hungry constantly. A little extra calories and more protein made my workouts way better and I did way better with weight lifting and general energy.

Hi team! On a little early, have a meeting in two hours to learn a computer program and wanted to get all my night stuff done first. Had a good workout then dropped off bags of Valentine’s cards, I had 4 small homes and the first home gave me a tour and introduced me to their one patient (they’re new and they and the others were real grateful to be included despite their size which was cool). One of our board members has a senior placement business so I sent her my opinion of the home and owner. I went to the holistic place hoping to get my body calmed down but it only helped for a little bit, I’m planning to take it easy tomorrow. Had some drama with the charity board that will probably be dealt with tonight, our new vice president overstepped quite a bit on a project I’m involved with and got everyone upset as she tried to leave someone out and doesn’t know the steps involved as she wasn’t here last year. I tried to smooth things over but I’m annoyed at her questioning me about my computer experience to submit an article to the newspaper (told her she was welcome to do it herself). By the time I called the president I had heard from another board member and she already knew about it from one calling her. I volunteer for 4 places I don’t need to be micro-managed every time I say I’m willing to do something. She’s reminding me when I worked at an independent physician association the person I helped the most would leave out 1 step of everything so she’d get credit and I couldn’t “take her job” which the boss said is common in hospital administration and I'm sure elsewhere. Have a great night and awesome Saturday!

No Zero Days- Had a good workout this morning. Healthy food. Good heartwarming interactions with people at the homes and holistic clinic.

    Need weigh-ins from: @badnoodle @laurelfit57 @GrinningPossumLifts @Cornanda @davors19

    Saturday weigh-in reminder for:@865jessica @Digger61 @gemwolf110 @tammymccrady6278 @vrafer

Just a heads up. I’m away on vacation like I had mentioned a few days ago. I won’t be around a scale tomorrow to do my weigh in. But will be for the next one. Having a blast with the grandkids so will let you all go. Night all
