I'm being a struggler lately. ;-P My thyroid is low, I'm going through menopause and I am always hungry and snacking. Hmm. I hope to get this under control this week. I'm outgrowing my bigger garments and getting some wild stretch marks.6 -
@tatilove1988 Hope you feel better soon!!! Take care of yourself and get some rest!

The daily card:There is so much beauty in the delicate. Butterflies, snowflakes, the little dandelion seeds that float along in the summer breeze. Spend a few hours intentionally moving through the day with that same delicacy, engaging fully with the reality of the world around your, with an attitude that is more like a feather than a brick. Notice how it feels to approach the world with such lightness.2

Hello Shape Shifters.
Today is Tinus' 'birthday'! On March 27, 2015 I took him home from the shelter where I was a volunteer. I moved into my first house alone early that year and I knew I wanted a kitty. I had been working at the shelter for over a year when Tinus showed up. I cleaned all the cages in the quarantine area, so I saw all the new cats early. He looked like a grumpy old man, but he was so sweet and I knew within 10 seconds of meeting him that he belonged with me. I never had that feeling with another cat before or after. The next time I was at the shelter to work, Tinus was gone. I was afraid they found something and that he was dead, but I learned that another volunteer took him home because he needed a bunch of medication. She had other cats and dogs at home too and she told me he wasn't a lap cat. Tinus just needed more quiet; he was purring and happy and on my lap the day I got him home. It has been 9 years now and he is my best friend and the reason I get up in the morning. I love him to bits and I hope we get many more years together!
I have been quiet here because I haven't been doing well. I hope I can go back to my daily posting in a day or two. In the meantime, I will leave some pictures under the spoiler.

Apologies for my absence last week for the weigh in. My schedule was heavy and I didn't get a chance to check in. I had to coach three hockey practices, had two games of my own and then coached three games in a final tournament. I enjoyed it all but the extra practices added a bit too much to my plate and my stress has been high with work on top of it. I hope everyone is keeping well and those of you recovering from surgery, I hope you are making good progress to recover!
