~ I can kinda see why I didnβt do so well this week. I lacked the steps and didnβt stick to a low carb diet every day. Knowing that I had to come here and weigh in really did help me pull it together in the end

Hello everyone,
I had a follow up appointment with the surgeon for my finger injury today. We are going to book surgery in 4-6 weeks to release the tendon on the palm side of my finger. The tendons are "stuck" and I still cannot bend my ring finger at the last 2 joints. This lack of movement drastically limits what I can do with my left hand. Try to make a fist while keeping your ring finger straight.
On other news, I reached out to the internal medicine doctor I was seeing for my metabolic issues to see if he can help me get in with a specialist sooner, or at least help point me in the right direction about who I should see. I have a phone appointment with the internal medicine doctor tomorrow afternoon. I also reached out the specialist office where my family doctor sent the referral to see about being seen sooner since was have the test results. They offered to put me on a cancellation list and informed me the doctor has seen my results and triages her appointments how she wants to. Did my doctor maybe exaggerate the severity of the results?? I would feel pretty conflicted if he did, happy that things aren't that bad, and upset about all the worry.5 -

Congratulations on last weekβs successful week, Shape Shifters β and welcome to our new members! Weβre glad to have you on the team! Iβll look forward to getting to know you more and hope you find support here.
Today was a good day of tracking my food and I stayed within my daily calorie goal. My macro nutrient breakdown was too heavy on fats, probably due to the amount of cheese I ate. So, Iβll monitor the balance more tomorrow and try to add more protein so my weekly results are closer to my goals. I didnβt make it to my yoga class this morning because I wanted to get some grocery shopping and laundry done.
I had a full day of meetings and appointments this afternoon so Iβm going to do some reading now to unwind. I felt good about the day, and thought I accomplished a solid number of tasks, but my watch is telling me I was too stressed π° so I hope I can make my watch a bit happier before I go to bed. π€3 -

I'm being a struggler lately. ;-P My thyroid is low, I'm going through menopause and I am always hungry and snacking. Hmm. I hope to get this under control this week. I'm outgrowing my bigger garments and getting some wild stretch marks.6 -
@tatilove1988 Hope you feel better soon!!! Take care of yourself and get some rest!

The daily card:There is so much beauty in the delicate. Butterflies, snowflakes, the little dandelion seeds that float along in the summer breeze. Spend a few hours intentionally moving through the day with that same delicacy, engaging fully with the reality of the world around your, with an attitude that is more like a feather than a brick. Notice how it feels to approach the world with such lightness.2

Hello Shape Shifters.
Today is Tinus' 'birthday'! On March 27, 2015 I took him home from the shelter where I was a volunteer. I moved into my first house alone early that year and I knew I wanted a kitty. I had been working at the shelter for over a year when Tinus showed up. I cleaned all the cages in the quarantine area, so I saw all the new cats early. He looked like a grumpy old man, but he was so sweet and I knew within 10 seconds of meeting him that he belonged with me. I never had that feeling with another cat before or after. The next time I was at the shelter to work, Tinus was gone. I was afraid they found something and that he was dead, but I learned that another volunteer took him home because he needed a bunch of medication. She had other cats and dogs at home too and she told me he wasn't a lap cat. Tinus just needed more quiet; he was purring and happy and on my lap the day I got him home. It has been 9 years now and he is my best friend and the reason I get up in the morning. I love him to bits and I hope we get many more years together!
I have been quiet here because I haven't been doing well. I hope I can go back to my daily posting in a day or two. In the meantime, I will leave some pictures under the spoiler.

Apologies for my absence last week for the weigh in. My schedule was heavy and I didn't get a chance to check in. I had to coach three hockey practices, had two games of my own and then coached three games in a final tournament. I enjoyed it all but the extra practices added a bit too much to my plate and my stress has been high with work on top of it. I hope everyone is keeping well and those of you recovering from surgery, I hope you are making good progress to recover!
