Nothing too exciting here. I hope to start emptying the gaming room. The kids don’t use it anymore, so I want to move hubby’s cave in there. So major reorganizing about to start. Finally got unpacked and the luggage can be stored for a couple months. Did a decent job staying on track today. I was 1k off of 10k steps but I tried my best. I was walking circles around my room until I was spinning 😵💫. Really trying to convince myself to do 10 min on my bike today. It’s my birthday and I am feeling pretty good about getting closer to 50. I don’t know why I use to think it was dreadful. As I get really near I realize that these are great years! So happy happy me!

@AmbersWay Thanks for asking. I am stressed and have a headache and not finding it possible to do any exercise in the morning (this is because of time balance issues as well as sleepiness/generally not wanting to do it). I guess I'll need to put it more exercise on the weekends and if my foot isn't hurting too much, go for walks at work. That emptying the game room project sounds major! 9K steps is awesome, great job! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Hi all. I was so tired at work yesterday and had a headache so I went out to my car and closed my eyes. Before I knew it, it was something like 30 minutes later. It did help, though. Although, today, the headache is back albeit in less intensity. I have to rethink the idea of working out in the morning, I just don't see it happening. I'll figure it out.

@AmbersWay That sounds like a big project. I think 9k steps is great, even when I have a workout day, with my job being primarily desk oriented, I don’t usually get more than 7500 steps. Hope the movie was good! Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
@trooworld A Nap! I always try to get at least one in during the weekend, but during a work day, I wish. I hope your head is feeling better.
I did well yesterday with my food, but I’ve been having a hard time focusing at work. I’m thinking that there is just so much to do that sometimes I just freeze and do nothing. I manage a team of Realtors, but it involves a lot of things, like client care, Listing entry, I still do personal assistant stuff for our Team Lead, and I make sure everything is on track, it’s hard to even list it all honestly. I’m hoping today will be productive!

Hello everyone! I woke up feeling like I was coming down with something but I’m better now. I think it’s just Georiga allergy season. I’ve had my door open and now my eyes feel itchy. I did some housework and laundry and now I need to get Joe to take a nap before he falls asleep on the sofa.

@laurelfit57 Boy sounds like Winners and Safeway had the same idea though Safeway keeps their carts outside the store so it was odd. LOL what the heck you can’t get the cart to the car to unload it! Yeah I definitely know those words you were saying LOL! You sound real good in your post, I’m so happy to hear you feeling better. Very thoughtful of you to stay home with Vannie, hope she’s feeling better soon. Enjoy walking Time tomorrow!
@AmbersWay HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I’m taking a class on grant writing for the charity, there’s 2 lessons a week and the second one took about 10 hours. Definitely check out holistic medicine, I think it looks at the whole person more. The person I’m working with was saying I needed to target nerves in the lower spine and pelvis more but of course NOT on camera! Have a wonderful birthday, how about dancing for 10 minutes instead of riding?
@ninyagwa I didn’t catch you saying “not that I have much to add” until I read it in @trooworld ‘s post. Tthis group reminds me a lot of a healthy version of my grandpa’s coffee group where they’d meet at a restaurant each afternoon for about an hour and chat (minus my grandpa threatening to take it outside and settle it like men). We all take turns needing support and have good and bad times but for the most part we’re being here for each other like a healthy family. I like knowing what you’re trying and hope you get some pain relief with him and it’s definitely SOMETHING to add. LOL that homework is a killer for going back to school, being 52 I can’t remember things like I used to.
@trooworld Oh my goodness you must’ve been real exhausted to fall asleep! I’m glad it helped the headache. Hope it’s gone by tomorrow morning. Hey is it possible to walk on your walking pad while catching up on here? I’m picturing a standing desk so it may not work for typing, just a thought. Those seated pedals would probably work better but was thinking of a way to do both.

@TeresaW2024 LOL okay I’ll let jugar know you’ll be weighing in. I had three messages yesterday so who knows if she got to all of it! Nope I definitely won’t stop loving you with bad weigh-ins. I remember weighing in once and I’d gained 5lbs and was HORRIFIED I’d let the group down and offered to quit. You were so kind to me it meant a lot. Glad you’re feeling better, yep all these plants are blooming stuffing us up! I'd been wondering if your sister still lived with you I'm glad to hear you two had some time together.
Hi friends! My homework took forever, hard to write when you can’t concentrate but I got in it earlier today. I went to the holistic place and did some of the things that are more calming to my body, think I’m starting to pull out of this but it’s going slow. Organized and scheduled our next meeting so it can be in our newspaper article (we have an open free spot each month). Half my tomatoes were looking awful yesterday but all the changes I did (and didn’t do, it offered like 5 opposite things to solve it when I Googled) paid off and they’re all better today thank goodness. I’m going to Mountain Mikes for the board meeting tonight and am planning to have salad, it’s hard to get pizza and not eat a lot when it’s in front of you for a couple hours. Have a great Friday!

@trooworld Time loved loved loved her walk today! I actually took her out three times lol. I will post a couple of pictures :-). Do you usually work out in the afternoon? I have to work out in the morning otherwise it just does not happen. I am so sorry about your headaches!
@ninyagwa we are just coming out of a real cold snap, so anything from -10°C and up is heavenly for me! It sounds like your job is super busy and hectic! I have a couple of relatives in real estate and I know it can be really crazy.

I am still working on getting my energy up, but I'm so so much better than I have been in a long time. I did not go to spin class this morning but met my daughter at the gym and we did the treadmill, I would not call it strenuous walk, we were talking too much🤣. After lunch I took Ty out for her first walk off of my property. I think she was a little bit overwhelmed so we were only out for about a half an hour. We came back and I took Vannie out for an hour. I did a few things in the house and then took Ty out for an hour and she had a blast the second time around! This old lady is exhausted I haven't had this much fresh air in over a month🤣. I have been doing really good with my tracking all week.

@AmbersWay im jealous of your husband getting an entire room for his cave. When we moved into this house I told my wife I was getting a room to decorate my way. She agreed. However it turned out I got one corner in four rooms. Four corners equal one room. It's so not fair because she got the rest of the house. (sigh)

Soooooooo, I am feeling better. I think Monday I will start the strength training back in my Fungeon again. I have to ask how everybody knows when the birthdays are? I do not see the dates posted but then I see the birthday wishes. Tomorrow will be the ice breaker question as today just flew by me.

@ninyagwa Yeah it was glorious lol. I don't ever get to do that, but since I had a headache, I did. It is feeling better, thanks! You know, that happened to me yesterday (the so-much-to-do-I-freeze) and what helped me is to just make a priority to-do list. I hope today is better for you! And congrats on the loss!
@Katmary71 I really was. It feels better today, thanks. No, it's not possible to catch up here on the walking pad: I don't have a laptop and I use a desktop to catch up here. I don't have a standing desk. And I need to hold onto the handrails or I'll fall off (I'm really clumsy) but thanks for the idea! I'm glad you think you are starting to pull out of it. Oh gosh, I would have a hard time at Mountain Mike's. Good luck!
@laurelfit57 Oh good! I don't do well working out in the afternoon (I have a long commute and by the time I get home, I only have 2 hours before I go to bed to make dinner, eat, and relax...sometimes only 1 1/2 hours, depending on traffic). I think once my foot starts feeling better, I can walk on breaks at work. But this darned foot hurts so badly, I don't know when that will be. And thanks about my headaches! I'm so glad Time had a good time out. LOL about the blueberry, she looks really puzzled! I love her jacket. Thanks for sharing!
@19shmoo69 Thanks. No, it's not: I told Laurel above, but I have a long commute and only 1 1/2 - 2 hours when I get home to make dinner, eat and relax. I don't see myself working out in that short time period when all I want to do is veg out. I am so glad you are feeling better! Birthdays: when someone says in a comment that their birthday is tomorrow or today, I remember it. That's all!

@Katmary71 Your tomatoes reminded me of when we lived in a house with a tomato plant in California. That year, it went crazy and produced so many tomatoes my parents couldn't find enough people to give them all to. My dad was convinced that the super growth was due to the dryer vent on the wall right next to the tomato plant, and my mom, doing laundry every day, kept those plants happy with all that warm, humid air. Thoughts? I was a nice captain, wasn’t I?

@19shmoo69 Yeah, I remember having to deal with you, too! I don’t take naps when hubby does. That is the me time I get to have without caring for him. I usually read, work my jigsaw puzzles, and watch TV shows that he doesn’t like. Like Hell’s Kitchen.
@trooworld I'm Glad your headache is better. You reminded me that I must also schedule an appointment to get my oil changed. Not having Joe able to take care of car maintenance is one of the things I really miss. A princess shouldn’t have to do things like that!
Good morning! Joe and I had a good night’s sleep, and I only needed to get up with him once. I did think about how being a new mother and the wife of a man with dementia have a whole lot of similarities. I talked to the pastor yesterday; he approved everything for the Welcome Bags, which is a huge relief. Today, I’m having lunch with my bestie, and then I need to do some Amazon returns to Khols and go to Aldis. This weight gain has to stop! I will fill my house with only foods that are on my plan and work hard to get my mindset back on track. I know that I can do it. NO more excuses!!

@TeresaW2024 – Hunter and I have been watching Hell’s Kitchen when we get together! We’re on Season 5 Episode 10. These people drive me crazy! So much hate and back-stabbing. Like being in middle school again.
Hey, everyone! I was on the struggle bus for a bit, but I’m back up on my high horse. Making smart choices and feeling so much better for it. Made delicious peanut noodles last night and steamed a bag of frozen stir fry veggies. Threw half of the veggies (about 1 ½ cups) on the noodles and will have the other half with my lunch today, which is rice, black beans and guacamole salsa. Made a super smart choice last night and soaked half a pound of mayacoba beans and prepped taters, onion and carrots and threw it all in the slow cooker this morning with seasonings. My house is gonna smell so freaking DELICIOUS when I walk in after work! It’s a fantastic Friday for sure since Hunter and family are coming over for dinner. Then I’ll watch Byron for a few hours to give them some alone time.
Make good choices today! And don’t forget to hydrate!

Just realized that I forgot to bookmark this discussion. I kept thinking it was awfully quiet! Finally a sunny day today, so I'll take advantage and go for a long walk. I'm postponing much of the household chores until tomorrow, since they are calling for rain.
I haven't done any back-reading yet to see what I missed. I hope you are all well and working towards your goals. I'll catch-up later. I've got the page bookmarked now!

@laurelfit57 Thanks! I’m taking a grant writing class. The energy in your response is a lot stronger than it was even just a week ago, so glad to “read” it. I’m so happy you got out and had some good walks, I bet that felt good even though you’re tired now. LOL thank goodness Ty can protect you from menacing blueberries!

Hi team! I accidentally flared myself up at the holistic clinic this morning, we filmed our update and she treated my tailbone and upper back then I was to use the unit on my own for awhile and forgot to press “enter” and overstimulated my nervous system instead of calming it. I’ve been doing charity stuff since then, the charity is going to likely do a project at the food bank farm putting in perennial herbs and pollinators. The president isn’t happy about it but wasn’t at the board meeting last night when we decided what to do and after a bunch of calls I got it squared away. I’m planning on knocking out the board meeting minutes then finishing my Janet Evanovich book and go to bed early. Tomorrow's working the charity booth at pony ball from 7-10AM then my Mom's birthday celebration tomorrow night. Have a great night and Saturday!

@TeresaW2024 Thanks, it's still lurking like it could come back if I exert myself or just if it wants to lol. I don't know about you, but I always take my car to the dealership to get serviced even for oil changes. It's such a pain! It takes soooooo long even for a tire rotation. Grrrh. Okay, I'll get off my soapbox lol. I agree, princesses shouldn't have to do that! I'm glad you got a good night's sleep. That's good things got approved, you are Superwoman for getting that done! You CAN and WILL do this, you've got this!

Good morning! I sorta did a workout this morning. I hate Barre Blend! I just want to lift again. I think I will start Dig Deeper next week and just use lighter weights and wear my wrist brace while working out. I think as long as I don’t make matters worse, it should be OK. Right? Not much else going on today. I think I will spend part of the afternoon working on my new jigsaw and watching season six of Love is Blind. That show is crazy!

⚪ Steps: 10,000 not there yet, but about to work in it
⚪ Floors: 5 3 so far!
🟢 Tiny Habit: After I go to the kitchen, I do a counter pushup. Then I celebrate (fist pump or maybe a dance move)!
It's time to think about a new Tiny Habit to work on, as I am pretty solid on this one.
My house project right now is fixing a spot where we need to put on a drywall patch. I got paint to match the walls yesterday and have cut out a whole. I need to get brave and try the actual patch. Maybe this afternoon.4 -
