HOW IT ALL WORKS: The March challenge runs for four weeks, from March 3 - 30.

Everyone weighs in weekly on their chosen day right here in the team chat. At the end of each week, the tallies are done to determine the team and individuals with the most weight lost. The best losers are announced with full fanfare every Sunday. The team competition is all in good spirits - may the most losing win, and may everyone else get to work on next week!

We also celebrate those small, steady losses. If you lose, however small an amount, you are in the green! At the end of the month, we celebrate everyone who lost at least a bit every single week. You are heading steadily towards your goal even if you aren't at the top of the weight loss leaderboard. In March we are aiming for every team to hit 50% green every week - let's do this!

To make your weigh-in easy to find for your team Captains, please put it right at the top of a message, and use this format:
Weigh In Day:
PW (Previous Weight):
CW (Current Weight):

If you miss two weigh-ins in a row without asking for a break, you will be dropped from the team, so be sure to inform your team captain if you are traveling, sick, or just need some time off. If you want a break, you can be excused for a week or two, or can be moved to the Support Team for as long as you need. You still participate in the discussions, you can weigh in if you want to, but it will not count in the weekly tally. Don't worry! You can always come back even if you get dropped.

Once you reach your goal weight, you join the Goal Zone. You continue to weigh in every week. If you have 2 weeks above your self-defined goal zone, you go back to the regular team to lose that amount before it builds up. You will have a chance to hone those maintenance skills and stick with your team.

In addition to your own team, there are weekly F2F Full Group CHALLENGES. You can do all or none - it's up to you. Participating adds a lot to your success, so we hope to see you there often! These can involve anything fitness, health, or nutrition - and they’ll get you moving, thinking, and learning about this journey. Check the Announcements section for full group challenges.

Let’s show our fellow challengers some F2F love  Introduce yourselves right away, and let the March begin!

Hi! I am Linda and I am a team captain with the amazing Megan. I have been with the group since February of 2019. It’s this group and in particular this team that has helped me be successful in weight loss. I have lost almost 115 pound to date. I did move to maintenance for February but I have decided to lose another 10 pounds.

A bit about me: I live in London Ontario but I am originally from Newfoundland. I will always be a Newfie at heart. I will be turning 60 this year. I can’t believe it. I am the mother of three and grandmother to 4 granddaughters. My oldest granddaughter moved in with us very recently. It is going to take some adjustment but it is fun having her around. I can’t forget to mention my two very fat cats, Nick and Lady.

I will be having back surgery this spring. I am sure I will be recovering for a few weeks. I am hoping after that I can add walking as exercise. I do going swimming but not near enough. Right now I do short walks mostly in the apartment. Weight loss has improved my life drastically. I can’t wait to see what I accomplish once I am free of the pain.

    My goals:
    Exercise three times per week
Close my rings 5 out of 7 days
Get my March Apple Watch badge

    Welcome to our new members.
I'm Lis, one of the team motivators :)
I'm British but have lived in Spain for 22 years. I spend around 8 months of the year travelling in my rv. Its my happy place where i exercise loads, eat well and lose weight! I struggle when I'm at home as i socialise too much!!
I lost 100lb since August 2021 and reached my original target in December 23 but then i had a crazy month and gained 19lb ! I then set my goal to 185lb but have reached that goal and decided to lose a bit more. Aiming for 178lb now but i might go lower after that!
    I follow a low carb diet :)
Anything you want to know, just ask

Gooooood Morning, Team Downsizers! Hope everyone had a great week and is having a great day! We made it to March and, at least around here, there are sure signs that Spring is on its way. A little lighter in the mornings, a little warmer during the day, precipitation is coming up n the form of rain rather than snow, and so on. I know, I know, it is too early to declare and end to Winter but when my thermometer is reading 50 degrees (10 degrees for my Canadian friends) it hard to not get pumped!

    Anyway, here you go @lindamtuck2018

    Thursday Weigh-In:

    PW: 125.2
    CW: 123.4

So, I'm basically at goal weight now. 🎉 At this point I would like to figure out what I want my maintenance weight range to be. I would like to keep eating at a deficit, maybe a slight one, and lose a pound or two more, and then work on staying in my maintenance range, whatever that will be.

17.6 pounds lost since September 1; 36.6 pounds lost total 👍

Amazing accomplishment! Your LTD is impressive. Would you like to be moved to goal zone? You just have to give me a maintenance range. If you go over your top maintenance weight for 2 weeks we move you back to the main team until you are back in your range.

@lindamtuck2018 Thank you! After giving this some thought, yes, let's move me over to the goal zone. Do I still do weekly weigh-ins on the team chat?
My top maintenance weight will be 124.8, so anything 125.0 and above will be over.

I will get you moved. Yes you weigh in on the team chat. It’s just recorded in a separate part of the spreadsheet. I want to clarify your maintenance range. Are you saying it’s 124.8 to 125. That’s a pretty tight range. If you want your maintenance weight max to be 125. I would recommend a range of at least 121 to 125 This would give you a bit of wiggle room if you have an oops on the scale. Say your weight popped up to 127.8 for whatever reason. You then have two weeks to get back in your range before you get moved back to the main team. I looked at that as incentive to get back in range. Think about it but it’s your decision. My goal weight had three pounds either side. I am moving back to the main team with the hopes of losing 9 more. Once I go back to maintaining I am still leaving it at three pounds either sides as I have big fluctuations in my weight. Please let me know once you decide.

    Steps: 2,864

I did terrible with my goals last week. Some of it I can blame on the headaches but the rest was all me. I hope to have a better week. I still have a headache and my sinuses are worse. It better be improved by tomorrow as I am going to Niagara Falls to see a chubby checker tribute concert. I am walking today and I am going to walk to the drugstore and the supermarket across the street. My husband will come get me if I am in too much pain to walk back. Time to push through the headaches and get some exercise. Go Linda!!

    Enjoy your Sunday all!
