Good week this week. Tracking my meals is still my best tool in my weight loss arsenal. My cardiologist challenged me to get my daily intake of calories down to 1500-1600/day (and, of course, the usual “NO SALT, NO SUGAR”). Well I love a challenge so I accepted. Now I am down to 1900 calories/day (down from 2250) and significantly reduced both salt and sugar! I can’t say it will work for everyone but it seems to work for me.
Anyway, everyone have a great week! Looking forward to hearing everyone else’s success stories!

Good morning, @lindamtuck2018. Up a little earlier today as we got cheated out of an hours sleep last night thanks to daylight savings time! Just finished resetting all of our clocks so I figured I could give you my update now.

Good afternoon! We took our 11 year old granddaughter to McDonald’s. I only ate half my burger and a couple of fries. I did get a snack size McFlurry but only had a few tastes before giving it to my husband. We have two more restaurant meals to get through this week. Wish me luck as one is a buffet.

Eating out/salt just kills me. Don't worry.
Gets me every time too. I hardly ate much at McDonald’s but I made chicken wings last night and did something wrong with the spices. They were really salty. I still got the taste in my mouth and I only had a few. My weight is up today so I suspect I add salt and a lot of it. We are eating out Wednesday and Thursday so I will be surprised if I am not up more by weigh day. I am excited as my new Apple Watch comes today. I won’t be using it until I get a proper screen protector. Hopefully, the ones I ordered from Amazon will work otherwise I will take it somewhere to get one. I don’t think I will even be able to sell mine as it is so scratched. Trying to convince my husband to use it.
There is snow on the ground again and I don’t like it. I will be doing indoor walks as I don’t want to miss the delivery. Have a great Monday!

Stepping down as captain
After the March challenge I will be stepping down. This was a very hard decision. I have been a motivator then on to captain since I joined F2F. When the Downsizers team was formed, I moved from my previous team and became captain. I have had memory issues since I had Covid the first time. It has slowly gotten worse over time. As it has now started causing me to make mistakes or forget to do things within the group so it was time. There are several things affecting my memory. We are working to improve what we can and develop coping strategies. I am staying with the team and looking forward to your support as I attempt to lose these last 10 pounds. I will still be here to cheer you on.

I woke up feeling very anxious today. Normally when I feel like this I tend to stress eat. Luckily I decided to do a workout, have some tea and try to relax. Everything seems to have worked out for now but we will see.
