    Stepping down as captain

After the March challenge I will be stepping down. This was a very hard decision. I have been a motivator then on to captain since I joined F2F. When the Downsizers team was formed, I moved from my previous team and became captain. I have had memory issues since I had Covid the first time. It has slowly gotten worse over time. As it has now started causing me to make mistakes or forget to do things within the group so it was time. There are several things affecting my memory. We are working to improve what we can and develop coping strategies. I am staying with the team and looking forward to your support as I attempt to lose these last 10 pounds. I will still be here to cheer you on.

Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your weight loss journey.

    Linda

Thank you for all your hard work! It’s much appreciated but health and wellness should come first before everything. Focus on you and we will be here to support you!! Will Megan be covering it all or someone new

Megan will and she is looking for a co captain. It is a very rewarding job. Thanks for all your support!

@lindamtuck2018 ...it has been a pleasure being your co-captain over the years...you were an awesome captain and you will be missed...I hope your team of doctors can help you out ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Thanks Megan. I certainly loved working with you. I think we made a pretty good team. Now it’s your job to kick me in the butt if I stumble. I always felt being a captain was one of the things that helped with my weight loss.

I woke up feeling very anxious today. Normally when I feel like this I tend to stress eat. Luckily I decided to do a workout, have some tea and try to relax. Everything seems to have worked out for now but we will see.

Very nice loss! Great choice this morning. Friday I was having a lot of anxiety and couldn’t eat. That was something that never happened to me before. Fast forward to today and it’s the exact opposite. It’s not even noon and I have already got into peanut butter cookies. Stress and anxiety does weird things to our bodies. One of my favourite quotes says that food is the most overused anxiety medication and exercise is the most underutilized antidepressant. It is so true. Let us know how you made out the rest of the day.

Thanks. I think it has been 5 years that I was either Captain or motivator. It has been a big part of keeping me on my journey even when I struggled.

Short on steps yesterday but I did get a ton of paperwork and calls made. Feels good to catch up on that kind of stuff also. The surgeons office called me to book my follow up appointment. She is going to try and fit me into the may schedule for surgery so I can be on my feet in time for my 60th.

    Happy Wednesday!

I am going to step down from the group at this time. As you may have noticed I have not been able to pop in and do much of anything. We got a new puppy. I have not been able to figure out any routine right now. When I get things under control I will bounce back in.

Went for a slow walk with my granddaughter. My leg was paining but I sucked it up. I am going to do walks in the apartment this morning and I am going to attempt a walk to the bakery to pick up his cake. The buffet last night was disappointing. No crab legs anymore. 😠

What are you doing for fitness today?

Motto: 🏋🏾‍♀️ Don't think, just do it!! Eat well 🥗to Live Well 🚢✈️🧳

Recap: No, I'm not quitting, but sometime this week, the thought did cross my mind. And what does that even mean? I'm not going to stop exercising, I'm not going to stop monitoring what I eat, I'm not going to stop looking for new ways to be healthier! So quitting is just a thought that crosses my mind when things aren't necessarily going how I want them to. It goes back to the realization that I didn't gain X pounds in 3 months or even a year, so I'm not going to lose X pounds in 3 months or maybe even a year. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Ok, I'm done🙂

    - THOUGHTS: Don't you dare quit!

You definitely are not allowed to leave. Sometimes the process can feel like running into a wall repeatedly, which can be maddening. You are a friggin star, though. Thanks for not giving in!
