@lindamtuck2018 It's not like you are leaving, just switching roles. I found that sometimes it's more motivating to be a participant than the leader, you got this!

Hi Linda - I mentioned last week that I’m on vacation and don’t have access to a scale so I’ll be weighing in this coming Friday.

    Sorry my memory sucks

    Weigh in day: wednesday
    PW 228 (103.4 kg)
    CW 225.3 (102,2 kg)

Weight loss is going ok, getting those steps in is still a struggle ☹ Happy wednesday everyone 🙃

What an amazing loss! You are on keto right?

I have a very early appointment in the morning for a referral for an orthopedic surgeon ...So I will be on later in the morning ...

    Hope it goes well xx

Thank you ... I knew about the x-rays for my hips (stupid hip dysplasia) the ultra sound threw me off though it was for my thyroid ..crossing fingers that I do not have to go on thyroid medicine

I have been on thyroid medication foe almost 40 years. Truthfully, I don’t even think about it. I have a test once a year or more often if the doctor thinks it might be low again. Usually, if I get depressed they check it as it could be a low thyroid. Good luck getting it figured out.

    Yes, I'm on keto.. ☺

Teammates please really consider this. It’s fun to do and it definitely helped me with losing my weight.

    Saturday weigh in
    PW: 193.3
    CW: 193.1

I am so sorry for your loss. Cousins are our first friends in life. I cherish the time I spent with mine. Having weight loss when going through so much stress is definitely a win. I hope they figure out what is going on. Keep us posted.

PW: 141.4 pounds (gained 1.7 pounds)
CW: 140.7 pounds (lost 0.7 pounds)

Need to get back down 1 more pound to 139.7 pounds which is what I was on February 17th.

Nice loss! You will get there. Just remember you have a lot going on so you are doing well considering. Great job.

When you have done the leadership thing since 2019 it’s not a stretch to wonder if it is the key to your success. I know my family and friends have wondered if it will affect my weight loss/maintaining. I guess being a motivator/captain has been to my weight loss what Monte has been to yours. I guess we will find out over the next month. @Megan_smartiepants1970 has promised to kick my butt if I stray. Also I have seen a few people over the last 5 years slowly move away from the group once getting to goal and gained weight back.

    Steps;
    Friday:5,433
    Saturday:6,586
    Exercises: 5/4
    Rings: ✔️
    Badge: 2/5

I thought it would be fun to play volleyball with my 11 year old granddaughter. So with my husband and daughter protesting loudly I played anyway. So I will admit I should have listened to them. I haven’t had this much pain in awhile but it was seriously worth it. My granddaughter had so much fun. At least I learned to hit the ball straight. So no intentional exercise today.

I hope you have an amazing Sunday!

Good morning, @lindamtuck2018! Hope you are feeling better. I agree the one “upside” of this stomach bug is that you manage to lose some weight but…it is not a very comfortable way of doing it. Glad you were able to get back into the pool.

Here are my numbers for 3/24/2024:

    User: rwillems
    Weigh-in day: Sunday
    PW: 267.8 lbs
CW: 266.0 lbs. (down 1.8 lbs)

    Have a good week!

We lost my uncle yesterday as expected but still such a blow especially to my dad. He is now the last remaining of his five siblings and of his family and is taking it very hard. It’s so difficult to watch him go through this and reminds of his own mortality and that I may lose him in the next few years as well as his health is not the best. I’m feeling really down and my food choices yesterday are showing it it. Can’t even call it food when I had about 10 midgie tootsie rolls and two brownie cookies in addition to two servings of eggs Benedict and twice baked potatoes. I can’t remember a day that I have gone off the rails so far!

So sorry for your loss ....hugssssss
