MARCH 2024 Move Your @$$ Challenge

@Clepant - That's really nice of you to do that. It's especially hard when the spouse seems so wishy washy on doing what they said. I'm glad that at least it was fun and it really helps motivate your neighbor to get out and walk.0

Sending good vibes they won’t extend your time…😀 I hope this doesn’t come out wrong 🥹 They would have to put me on suicide watch too..Please take care of yourself 😀0 -
@Dean: I am sure it feels disappointing from where you have been to where you are now, but just think how good you will be after it is all said and done. You will be back on that bike pumping out mikes pain free.
Mar. 6. 7.35 miles walking (soggy wet day)
TTD: 36.05 miles
My ticker is not copying in so it will jjust be ticketless today.0 -

Spent an hour and a half in surgery last night (I was the surgeon). Standing on this foot for that long has left my heal kind of painful. Frustrating. Guess it will be next week before I try the bike again. I start PT next week as well. I was really hoping when I got permission to put weight on it that recovery would be quick. I've already missed two rides (Moab Skinny Tire festival and L'Etape de Texas). I may end up missing more if it stays this slow. AAARRRRRGGGG! Yes, I'm making the same sound as Charlie Brown when Lucy pulls the football when he tries to kick it. 😱1

@Dean: I am sorry you are missing your road events. We have a road sign that goes up here in PA when highway repair work is taking place. So thinks of it as the sign.” A temporary inconvenience for a permanent solution.” I am sure it must be frustrating, but I can think of two surgery rehabs that I pushed only to delay the healing process. Hang in there.

HI EVERYONE!!! Remember me???? Sorry, but work has been a real bear this week. Thanks to Janet for fixing my messing up of the spreadsheet, too! I'm still not sure what I did, but my brain was just not in the right place to fix it this time. But everything should be current now. Let Janet or I know if you see anything wonky.

Oh boy, please put me in for 25 miles for March. I did complete 25 miles for February, just didn't get it logged. I am right smack in the middle of getting my medical clearance for surgery. I feel like I have been jumping through hoops for over 2 weeks. So sorry if loading up Feb miles is a load of extra work.

Still walking my neighbor’s lab. I don’t want him ending up with a UTI because he is not getting out.
We will be buds through the 19th.0 -
Adding 2.5 miles for 3 miles out of 50. Much better results on today's rehab ride. 18 minutes.2
-
@Anaconda - I can really relate to the jumping through insurance hoops. Hang in there Sue. It will be worth it in the end.1

Glad to see you up and about, @DEAN! Just listen to your body. It's okay to push a little but don't overdo it in the beginning. Then carefully ramp up.
@ANACONDA469 - Glad you're getting closer to getting relief!! The insurance company sure can be a boat anchor when they want to be! But you'll get there.

Adding 6.5 miles for 13 miles out of 50. Switched to flat pedals and it made a huge difference.2 -
@Dave - Yes! It really does. Switched to flat pedals on the bike today and I was able to easily get to 50 watts for 30 minutes. I could have done more but I promised the PT I wouldn’t do more than 50 watts so that’s where I held it.1
