    No ride today. Tendon feels swollen so it’s a rest day.

    I’ve visited Leavenworth lots of times. I grew up north of Seattle in woodinville. I was in the military before I realized there was more than one Leavenworth. 😂 love Leavenworth Washington. Leavenworth Kansas not so much. 😉😵‍💫

    @GrandmaJackie: Wishing you safe travels. You are making quit a move.i am of German origin and we have German town community of historic Deutschtown here in Pittsburgh. My great grandparents and grandparents lived there. They spoke German around us as kids so we couldn’t listen in on their conversations, I am sure there are many similar communities. I enjoyed your video.

    @Dean:Glad you are moving again.

    @sufferlandrian - 18 hours - oh my gosh. I heard that Florida has such a shortage of vets that they are advancing a bill to allow pet telehealth.

    @Janet - Everywhere is short vets. For years the AVMA tried to tell us there wasn't a shortage of vets, we just needed to work more efficiently. Now places like Florida are considering Telemedicine so the AVMA is saying, yes there is a shortage but it will be self correcting as new vets graduate. In other words, "You need to work more efficiently but not that efficiently." :frowning: ER vets have always been in short supply. We are finally getting recognized as short supplied. Sometimes I hate the AVMA. :angry: Their main reason for saying there wasn't a shortage was if there are too many vets, salaries come down. If there are too few, Salaries go up. They would like us to get paid like physicians but the IRS considers us a cash business so we can't write off bills for people that can't pay. Unless you want insurance companies to control more of veterinary medicine, you have to accept that we do this for the love of pets, not for the money.

    And that's also GOAL for @DEAN!! CONGRATS, @SUFFERLANDRIAN!!! : B)

    @DEAN - Pretty sure I'm good with staying away from Leavenworth, KS as well!! :smiley: Also, we really appreciate you and what you do. I'm sorry that the shortage has turned it into such a challenging profession with so many sacrifices. :disappointed: But it's a good thing you don't do it because it's easy or lucrative. I'm sure all of your patients and their owners (most anyway) are eternally grateful.
