This week I've reduced my calories by 300 a day to allow myself to eat at maintaince if i want on fri to Sunday...I've been super careful with weighing of food and hve weighed myself every day, it's working as i lost almost half a kilo. My list above are the things that make me feel good, healthy and contribute towards my weight loss goals... glad I've been sticking to them even last night wen I came home with a huge migrane and stressed from work I still managed to get all my things done. With a bit of help from my hubby who cooked dinner and hand delivered me my acv and vitimans! Bless him xo have also been focusing on procrastinating a bit less as summer skier said reminders to get those personal appointments done that i put off.. this has felt good! Getting stiff done bit by bit. Xo

WOW! Less than a week of daily yoga practice left to claim my prize 🏆 (that invisible participation trophy is getting closer.) Yippee!  🙌👏🙌

June -25 I did my yoga first thing in the morning and even got in a short spin bike session.. I fasted for 26 hours, but that last hour was tough.

Less than a week and now we have to figure out what to do for July! already. I really enjoy this small group of dedicated folks. Thank you for being here and I know I sometimes go way off subject but hey…..

We had a surprise pop up storm yesterday which was sort of fun and I did not have a chance to do anything but sit and enjoy and watch the rain and feel the cool air. I am not that enthused about my choice for the month but hopefully now that I am pondering July I will come up with something more able to help me long term.

Humidity finally decreasing somewhat but then it’s early morning so will see what the day brings. Walked at lunch yesterday not a 5k but close enough 😂 probably would have lost some weight but that ice cream was good! Enjoy the day I am going to try to be like the dog in the book of short stories and poems that always makes my eyes tear up.

@SummerSkier , I’ve been working on the July thread. My goal will be fasting since I feel like I can do it in some way, thanks to tacking it onto my June yoga  goal. We have probably seen the last of the rain until November but have been enjoying our lovely “June gloom.” Lots of people complain about overcast mornings, but I relish them, knowing that once they are gone, the heat will settle in for real.

@snowshoe072 , I believe in walking for ice cream, especially when the temps and humidity are bad. Good for you getting out for a walk in those conditions. That book sounds good, but if it gets sad, then I’ll check it out some other time. Only happy books for me right now.

June -26  Really hard yoga session this morning, a lot of balancing on one leg for hours. 🦩 I fasted for 15 hours. I could have hit 16, but my daughter was making eggs and avocado toast and wasn’t interested in waiting another hour. Lovely breakfast.

@SummerSkier love the conversations on this chat. I like that we can focus on goals other than just weight loss. Getting off track is the fun of of ut all...

@snowshoe072 5ks very impressive so ice cream sounds well deserved.

@77tes thanks for the encouragement... I feel that in the the past I've come unstuck by taking maintaince days and pass days wen I've wanted, so it's formed some bad habits. Planning I'n the calories around this will hopefully allow me to be more mindful and less reckless and more importantly drop those last 3kgs as I'm not spending my time constantly in or over maintaince calories.

I love how your fasting and how u are continuing with it in July. Good for u! Have I asked you what the benifits of fasting are for you? Id love to know....

@donna25trinity , If the cake fits in your calories and you want it, eat it. That’s my system. Deprivation just leads to resentment and defeat for me.

I’m hoping the IF will help me get back to maintenance, and it seems like every health-related book or article recommends fasting. So I’m giving it a shot.

June -27 Well, I thought I’d be smart and do the long yoga routine that’s supposed to be done on the 30th of my 30 day yoga challenge. I know Monday will be a super busy day, but clearly today was not the day to get a long routine done. Still, I did about half, so I’m counting it. 16 hours fasting.

Thanks so much @SummerSkier that means alot.. The first prob 3 years of Uac I made champ every month then I year into going back to work from mat leave work the stresses of work mixed with lack of consistency made it so hard to stick to it daily..I'd start strong every month then fall off after a couple of days... I think the most disheartened thing is not being able to keep my weight at maintaince wen i do work hard to loose . it always creeps back up..so first thing for me Is loosing this 3kg then u might need to give me some tips on how to keep it off. I know u have been in maintaince forever... xo

@donna25trinity , oh, you are in a hard season of life, so that makes it both difficult to maintain healthy habits and really important that you do. Balancing your career and the needs of your young child takes great skill. It’s so easy to leave your own needs undone. So bravo for getting back on the wagon. Keep trying and adjusting as you figure out what works and what doesn’t.

Happy Last day of June everyone. I am here. A little mopey that my foot is taking so long to heal but I have had injuries in the past and I vaguely remember that it seemed like forever to recover but then when you look back it was not all that long.

Yes Donna, I have been in maintenance since 2017 but it's only smaller yo yo's. LOL. I go up and down and have to cut and then not. The important part is we just keep going and keep showing up …. I think the term itself is sort of misleading like you get there and then you stay there. But I love this group because it's focus can be so varied.

Dentist appt tomorrow back at old place to get teeth cleaned. I did have the "new" place forward the xrays so just going to take things one appt at a time I guess. TO me it is important to keep up daily and with the cleanings so making it a priority.

I’m calling June a success! 21 days closing all 3 rings, and only 3 days not wearing the tracker.

@Summerskier, I love your description of maintenance as smaller yo-yoing!

It’s so hard to rehab after an injury. The more active you are, the harder it is

I hope your dentist appointment goes well. It’s sure to be better than your last attempt at a cleaning.

    @hcoleman232 , Definitely a great month for you ! Bravo !🎉
