@gillis1118 I have your starting weight updated 😀
@AnnaZimm70 that is a beautiful horse!
My NSV for this week:
-I jogged 30 minutes without stopping!! (1st time ever!)
-Start of my vacation and I brought healthy food with me to where we are staying
-I have increased my steps (from the partner step challenge…but still)
I don't track macros for the most part. I eat 1400-1500 calories per day (well that's my goal) and 90-100 grams of protein.
We are at the beach! I may not post right away this weekend, but will respond to everyone!

Hello! I am new to the team. I will weigh in tomorrow morning and update my starting weight (I took a guess when I registered, since I hadn't weighed in yet this week). I have lost about 50 pounds already but still have about 30 more to go, and my motivation is starting to fall apart after a knee injury and then being sick for 2 weeks, so I decided to hunt down a group for support and accountability. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you!

LET’s GO TEAM!

@gillis1118 Happy Friday! Fantastic NSV for the week!
I do 40/40/20 or “try” - hee hee 😛!! 40% Protein/40% Carbs/20% Fat. It has helped me with weight loss in the past and maintain weight. I am up now and need to lose twenty pounds. I am going back to 40/40/20. Here is a chart of my weight over the past years and I can see when I stuck with my 40/40/20.
This may be helpful! Check this out when you have time, it’s how to calculate your macros. :) Hope this helps!

@AnnaZimm70 Yeah, I love that feeling when I am fitting into my smaller clothes. Congratulations!!! I love horses 🐎 !!!! I grew up riding and took time off for college/career. I am not since retired and am back to full time riding again. I grew up jumping, dressage and also western pleasure riding. I now have a 17 hand Dutch Warmblood (Ravello) I use for Dressage and a Quarter horse (Hollywood) (Hubby’s horse), but I ride him mostly for western pleasure! They are FUN! Love your picture of you and your horse! We moved from Florida to North of Dallas. We wanted to have property again and so thankful to have our horses back on our own land again!!!

Instead of "lose weight," aim to lose 1-2 pounds per week.
Track your progress:
Monitor your diet, exercise, sleep, and weight to see how far you've come.
Don't obsess over the scale:
Remember that weight can fluctuate, so focus on consistent healthy habits.
Celebrate small wins:
Acknowledge and reward yourself for achieving milestones, such as walking for a longer duration or cooking healthy meals consistently.
REMEMBER - Prioritize self-care
Get enough sleep:
Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep per night to support healthy hormone balance and metabolism.
Manage stress:
Find healthy coping mechanisms like meditation, deep breathing exercises, or spending time in nature to minimize stress-induced cravings and overeating.
Be patient and compassionate:
Weight loss is a journey with ups and downs. Don't be discouraged by setbacks. Simply learn from them and get back on track.
