Favourite vegetable: I struggle with boiled vegetables but love all salad vegetables. Probably peppers and onions.

@Mari33a great loss this week!
I finally got some of the weeding and pruning done that I wanted to. It was sort of cooler tonight…83F. But the sun wasn't blazing down on me. Still worked up a sweat. I had a great week at work! It definitely helped that it's a short week and I have a 3 day weekend :)
Tomorrow morning is my 5k race. I'm excited for it as I have been training for quite a few weeks. I'm hoping it can be my fastest pace, but I haven't done the course before and I hope it's not too hot. Then I am going to find a new training plan to help increase my speed for the 5k. Anyone got any tips for that?

What's your favorite part of where you live (neighborhood, city, state, etc)?
I love my neighborhood, because it is great for walking. Not much traffic and everyone is nice. What I love about the city (Greensboro, NC) is that we have a lot of walking trails!

@lauren_989 : Your race sounds terrific! Let us know how it goes. Hopefully it won't be too warm. For getting faster, try intervals or tempo runs. My husband recommends them—he's running an ultra (35 mi) in October and they have helped him.
Fav part of my neighborhood? Looking out to see mountains in the distance, and the leaves in the fall.
Had a good day, got some trees trimmed and found a fantastic recipe for Vegan Slow-Cooker pinto beans. I put the link in the recipe section. Made them this morning and they were great!

Ok, so was hoping to PR today, but nope. I read that it's hard to PR in the heat and I believe it! By the 3rd mile I was feeling nauseous and dizzy. Took me a good 2 hours to feel back to normal. But, it was fun! Don't think I will do any more summer races. 🥵
@jimboden3 as what @Mari33a Said. Don't beat yourself up. When I gain that much, it usually takes me 2 weeks to get it off.

I overate a bit yesterday, but back on track today! Went for a walk this morning, and then weeded around my mail box. We are going to meet friends at an indoor minigolf, go cart, arcade place. Mainly I will just do the mini golf 😄

Today wasn't the best day for me food wise...but tomorrow is another day. I did get to the gym and some weight lifting though!
I did work on a puzzle the past few days. We had a tropical depression come through yesterday. Luckily we just got a little rain. 30 minutes east of me was a different story 🫤 Lots of flooding, downed trees.

Had a busy day today. Work 1/2 day, dermatology appointment, then went to the gym to get my jog in on the indoor track. It was 93 degrees, feel like 111. No way was I doing that outside. Then had game night at the local bakery. They stay open late once a month and have different board games to play. So much fun and get to meet new people! We played betrayal at house on the hill and One Night Ultimate Werewolf. I did have a chai tea, but pretracked it into my calories for the day.
