Happy October!
Its fall and the Pumpkin Ale is flowing freely. Spiced ciders and mulled wines all around. Warm toasty nights curled up with a blanket (or in my case, a Ritter).
It is a challenging time for lushes. Here we support each other when we want zeros and we cheer each other when we imbibe with passion.
Have an awesome day all!

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO SEPTEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :noway:
You know what October means to me.....Lenny making me watch Halloweeny shows all month :huh:0 -
Thanks for all the birthday wishes!!
Friday is our Oktoberfest celebration at the state fairgrounds. I am excited to see what they have to offer. I'll get some ideas for next year's party. Then, we have bowling on Saturday so drinks will be had. I don't think I've ever bowled sober-ish.
Well, the government is shut down...I hope it stays that way. LOL0 -
Yay its baby month!!!! I see cocktails in my near future!!!! Happy Oktober lushes :drinker:0
-
is it that time already, Chloe? Hope it went fast for you.
I'm still in Palm Springs. Projected high today is in the 90's. :noway: Its dry heat tho lol0 -

I see nothing wrong with that at all. Then again I'll be doing that to Kyle because Halloween is my favorite
So September is gone and my favorite month has officially begun  I think I'll get a little housework done and then paint my nails something Halloweenish
You're so close Chloe!!! Enjoy the last little bit of freedom and definitely be sure to enjoy your first official return to lushness :drinker:
SoCal mother nature doesn't know what season she wants to be in here. We had Fall temps the last couple weeks and this week is supposed to be back up around the 80's :noway: I've got big cozy sweaters and a pair of L.L. Bean slippers on the way so I hope she brings back the cool temps asap!0 -
Man oh man, where did September go?! I love October though & the start of the fall! I just wish Kansas would head that way...today the high is 87. 87 DEGREES! WTF?! I do not like that. I want sweatshirt weather!!
Congrats on it being baby month, Chloe! How exciting! Does it seem like time just flew by?
This month is my hubby Matt's 30th birthday at the end of the month! So, I'm super excited for the Halloween surprise party that my friend & I are throwing him! Just hoping I can keep it a secret & lots of people come.
As far as boozing for me..I'm trying to limit it to 1 night a week...Friday's only. But then I tend to overdo it a little & Saturdays really suck. LOL.0 -
Ande getting her dose of sun for jaundice.
October 12th cannot get here quick enough. I need to kiss those cheeks,

Look at that cute baby
Yes it went by fast and I can say I had a very good pregnancy. But, all of a sudden this week I am ready for it to be over! I feel huge and my back hurts and I want a cocktail not gonna lie! Oh and I want to meet my baby boy too
Kat- when is your due date again? How have you been feeling?0 -
Kat- when is your due date again? How have you been feeling?
I go to the doctor Friday so hopefully finding out the exact date then although when I did a test online it said April 2nd. When I talked to the woman at the office on the phone she said I was 14 weeks and that since I'm further along than most when they go for their first visit that my appt. will be more in depth and we should be able to see body parts and possibly even find out the sex of the baby =] I've been feeling fine luckily. I haven't had any morning sickness what so ever, I have had 2 colds due to the whole suppressed immune system thing but I'm better now. Other than that I've just been really tired but homemade iced coffee helps with that and I'll take being tired over throwing up any day haha.
Mama lush that is such a cute picture! Congrats again0 -
Robin- great intro and pic for October.
Kim- agree with you on the shut down. Irritates me. I have a nephew who works in the social security office. He helps the elderly with their benefits. He is off without pay, and the elderly will go without help.
However the *kitten* heads (congress) who put us in this mess are still getting paid. BAH!
Happy October my friends. Good things and babies coming!0 -

Bridget-its in the 80's here too....so weird!!!
Monday-2oz of pineapple vodka and sprite zero
Tuesday-Hmmm...where do I begin. Went to lunch with my parents and had 2 bourbon cocktails. Got home after work (left an hour early) had a cocktail, THEN took a roadie to walk to Lenny's hair appt, THEN went upstairs from salon to Appalachian Brewing Co and had 2 beers and wings, THEN came home and ate all the food!!
Wednesday-think I could use a dry out day!!!! 85 here today, so we will go for a nice walk after work!!!0 -
1 Vodka and pomegranit juice. 2 Sailor Jerry's and pomegranit juice. *sigh* Maybe a zero tonight.0
-
cute pic katie!!!!
I'm not even counting. off to the spa today followed by drinks I'm sure. :drinker:0 -
Thanks Syd! That was fromt he brewfest a few weeks ago....before we got hammered :blushing:
Monday-1 pineapple vodka and sprite zero
Tuesday-2 bourbon cocktails, 2 pineapple vodkas and sprite zero and 2 beers
Wednesday-1 pineapple vodka and sprite zero
We have no vodka left in the house so maybe I will actually get a zero this week!!!0 -
So I am going to try a new tactic. Doug has decided not to drink after 6:30 so I will join him. since I won't let myself have a drink until 5:00 that should really help me cut donw. (we are talking work week here peeps not the weekend)
I didn't join him last night when he told me about this so I had 3 lovely Zaya on the rocks and was a happy camper.0 -
I'm back from South Beach! I earned my lush card for sure. Eric and I rang up a $177 bar tab at the pool bar on Sunday. That included food....but it was $11 I think. There was that stupid 18% grat too.....Still.......
Had a 0 yesterday. Probably another tonight and have a low key weekend planned.0 -
I'm still in Palm Springs..last full day here. I can relate to those pool bar bills..although the last 2 times I sneaked in my own alcohol..which helped. :drinker:
I'm going to try to walk around the grounds again today because I sure haven't managed to find my way to the gym here. :ohwell:0 -
All signs lead to having a drink tonight...all in moderation RIGHT??!!!!! :huh:0
-
We did drink our own some, but the pool area was so small it was somewhat obvious if you BYOB'ed. We ended up having to leave half a fifth of cucumber vodka, because we got too drunk Sunday to feel like walking 2 buildings down to our hotel and making drinks..... :sad:0
-
Monday-1 pineapple vodka and sprite zero
Tuesday-2 bourbon drinks, 2 pineapple vodkas and 2 beers
Wednesday-1 pineapple vodka
Thursday-1 pineapple vodka
Ok so I ended up drinking all week, but with the exception of tuesday I did pretty good with moderation!!
Tonight, maybe manhattans, maybe wine, maybe pineapple vodka, maybe margaritas...I haven't decided yet.
Tomorrow, we are going for an early morning hike...which I am very excited for, then brewing our Ukrainian Imperial Stout, which means beers will be drank. I am also making the pretzel recipe Amy gave us...I'll let you know how it turns out!
Sunday we will be drinking too, I'm sure. Considering the fact that we have no plans (outside of the house) means no sunday hangover....I am anxiously awaiting the long lost sunday funday!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I ended up drinking half a bottle of rose' and a honey pineapple vodka and soda last night. I slept great and feel great today. Tonight should be mellow. Tomorrow is a huge art fair and we always drink wine while we browse. We really have no other plans and I am excited about it. We've been so busy this late summer/early fall! We traveled 3 of the 5 previous weekends and had company in one other weekend. I'm ready for a break......
Happy Friday!0 -
I enjoyed a lovely bottle of red last night. This weekend will just be about cleaning up the yard (getting rid of all the summer growth) and getting ready for winter. The weather is supposed to be nice. I love the crispness in the fall air.0

Thought I would share. This is Brie (Sabrina) and Ande (Andelane). I am very big on the nickname thing.

Gorgeous pic Robin!!! I don't think I ever looked that relaxed during the early stages of motherhood lol
Vacay is over..heading home today. We'll see what kind of damage I did on the scale.:noway:0 -
Wonderful pic Robin.
After a rainy week in the PacNW, the sun is out!
Going to my folks this afternoon to mow their lawn. Then going to put on a pot of curry kielbasa soup. Will end the day with a couple of cocktails and snuggling on the couch with my wife and our Frenchie!
Enjoy your weekend!0 -
Beautiful picture, Robin.
Sorry Syd your vacay is over. I am sure you are planning your next one, right?

Angry balls = good
