Kate, I am sending good vibes your way. If anyone knows the horrors of working for a horrible boss, I sure do. I hope things change for you as they did for me.

Good luck with the ultrasound Kat

Yesterday was a bottle of white. Well not quite, there is actually one glass left in it that I plan to use in a veal picatta I am making for dinner.

    Recap....
    Mon - maybe 2 oz wine = 0
Tues - 2 glasses of red
Wed - 2 glasses of red, glass of white, 2 sips of vanilla porter. Ew.
Thurs - ? Hopefully less than 4. Our out of town guests arrive sometime tonight.

Hoping to not drink so much this weekend that I'm all hungober and anxious. Anyone else get anxiety when really hungover? It is the only time I get anxiety.

Kate I hope you find a job with a better boss.

Kat, good luck! I didn't get my first u/s till 18 weeks so was SO excited to have one. Any feeling on what you're having?

Hi to everyone else! Better get to work. I'm slammed.

I can't remember the last time I did that...I guess when I was sick! I may as well go for 1 more 0 and make it til Friday. We'll see if it makes a difference at the scale this week. If doesn't...then screw it! I'll go back to my glass or 2 of wine every night! :drinker:

better..no anxiety when I'm hungover...just lots of carb consuming.
    kat...good luck...can't wait to hear!

Way to go, Sydney! Better than my week!

    Monday - 2
    Tuesday - 2
Wednesday - 0 (and didn't workout like I planned on)...
Thursday - will be 0...and I'm going to do boxing with my friend :)
    Friday - definitely NOT 0........:drinker:

This week I've been so tired every single night! Mainly because my lovely cat thinks that 3am is the perfect time to wake me up! And once I wake up, it is very, very hard for me to go back to sleep. Here is to hoping this isn't his new permanent pattern!

Well I was a little disappointed at first however I'm getting more and more excited that we are having an active, horror movie and sports loving little girl  And to answer your question I really didn't have a feeling as to whether is was a boy or girl however everyone else thought for sure we were having a little boy. The more I think about it the more I think having a girl first will be better. I'm hoping that we have a boy next and that our little girl will be the voice of reason as they grow older being that girls mature faster and all. Of course then my Gram has to say "well who knows maybe you'll end up having 5 girls" …. I sure as hell hope not. I really want a boy. With me as mommy and my best friend as Auntie though, my little girl is going to be a bad *kitten* bow wearing, crossbow toting little tomboy as my friend Eve put it haha. She was very active during Pacific Rim, Walking Dead, football and a special show on Bo Jackson so I know she's already got my love of horror movies and sports  or at least that's what I'm hoping she's trying to tell me with her little kicks

Oh I already had a plan for both boy and girl, now I just have to get down to the buying $$ haha. As I told my best friend little girl will still be wearing clothes with sharks and dinosaurs but I will buy some girly stuff too haha.

Girls are so fun to dress! Congrats!

I guess I drank about a bottle of wine last night. Probably a little more. I got 6 bottles of red and think I opened the 5th when everyone else decided to switch to beer. I made the decision to go to bed shortly after. Still hangin a bit this morning at work. Boo.

I took a mental health sick day today. I just needed some alone time to regroup and get things feeling right. I plan on getting some cleaning done. I only had about 3 glasses of wine last night and then I drank water water water.

I did it! I'm not sure that it paid off on the scale much...down less than a pound. But I challenged myself and it's nice to know I can muster up the discipline when needed. I have about 7 pounds I'd *love* to drop before the year end. We shall see. I can get thru Thanksgiving fine since I hate all that food but Christmas and New Years Eve is another story...
    Happy Friday lushes! :drinker:

    Kat-IT'S A GIRL...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

WTG Syd...you're my strong willed hero!!!

Robin-hope the day off did some good for you!!! And yes, I know you know the horrors of bosses!!!!!

I have been super busy at work and I needed a mental break so I thought I check in with my favorite lushes.

I have been drinking vodka all week while getting the house ready. Tonight is food prep ad tomorrow is pierogi making, WOOHOO!!! I need some fun in my life right now. As busy as I am, I am KICKING *kitten* so I feel accomplished and my boss hasn't been too much of a d!ck the last two days...he knows I was not happy with the way he was treating me...cause my personality changes once he starts his ****....I try to be nice and cheerful but once he starts it turns off and I am very short with him. I don't deserve to be treated like *kitten* and he doesn't deserve to be treated nicely!!!

    With that said...back to it!!!
Have a great weekend everyone :drinker:

    Happy Friday fellow lushes!

I did not do well this week in the moderation department. So my workout today will be to kick my own butt. We will see how the weekend goes. Have a great one!

Five pages into the November thread now I show up...it's not because I am not drinking! So much baby news and boss drama.

Kat - Congrats on a girl! She is going to be awesome!

Chloe - Beautiful picture! Congrats also!

I had dinner last night with my two babies (ages 25 and 21) and my husband. Margaritas and beer were had by all and we had a wonderful time.

Miss my lushes though. Glad to see all of you are doing well! :drinker:

Agree with Sydney! Beautiful picture of Chloe and her daughter! And yes, Diana nice abs!

Spent the morning on top of the roof with a blower. Lots and lots of pine needles from the past several wind storms had gathered in the valleys of the roof and the gutters. Luckily the pitch of the roof is not too steep. We also have a one story rambler, so if I did fall off, I might survive. :noway:

Thanks Wolf =] she certainly will be one badass little girl :glasses: and holy abs!!!!! Make sure you have that pic up for after I have the baby cause it's great motivation!!!

SoCal my husband and others seem to be lost on this whole pump and dump thing. I keep saying 4 more months until I can have some booze and they say no because I'll be breast feeding and all I say is "Pump and dump people, pump and dump." Not to mention that's what they have those little strips for, I mean c'mon, we went 9 months without booze and I'm sure we could survive another however many months we decide to breastfeed but if we can breastfeed and still get a wine fix then why the hell not?!

So husband's football team (Giants) plays my team (Packers) today so no matter who wins it will not be a happy time in the LaBarre home. Other than that it's a nice lazy Sunday so far, a little cleaning, a break for a whole grain bagel with peanut butter and some Husky basketball watching and in a bit I'll get the laundry done. We're cooking a nice homemade healthy dinner tonight too  which is good since I read that now baby can taste what you're eating so they recommend you eat whatever you want your little one to like once they're born. Granted little one still has me eating far more sweets than normal but the most delicious thing to me late has been said whole grain bagel with creamy peanut butter, mmmm.

I earned my lush card this weekend for sure. Three night binger. I was up till around 1am each night and was really struggling Saturday. Our company were a couple of workout freaks. Three of us went for a quick run Saturday. But we ran to get a beer. :drinker: Anyways, I drank more than I should have for sure on Friday night. Don't remember going to bed or falling in the kitchen or spitting out peanut butter that was supposed to cure my hiccups. :blushing: I did a little better Saturday night. I just wish I could have moderated a little better..... Thankfully we have just a few things planned the rest of the year. The only company being my parents for Christmas. We have 3 Christmas parties and a birthday party, but that's it. Hopefully we'll keep it that way. We have traveled or had company almost every week in September, October and early November. Saying I am worn out is an understatement. I will definitly be drying out for a couple days. There's even an open bottle of red on the counter, and it may actually stand a chance this week.....

pierogi party was a success....after everyone left Len and I kept to going, played some pool and drank manhattans....totally unneccesary.
Yesterday, walked to the market with a roadie...to just normalize myself, then had 3 more when I got home and 1 beer....I did not sleep real well last night and I am exhausted today!!!!

But I am already looking foward to next weekend....WEEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like some of us had an awesome weekend!

For those who are "Breaking Bad" fans, I found an alternative ending for the show. It was cute and worth a look.

celebrated my 0's during the week by completely overdoing it on Friday. :noway:
1 glass of wine on Saturday and 2 last night.

Back on track this week. I'm frustrated I cant seem to drop a few more lbs. I need to rethink the calorie intake, i suppose. :ohwell:

My Friday night consisted of way too much alcohol...including some cake vodka. Needless to say, I suffered from self-induced illness on Saturday which resulted in a big 0 for that night. Thus, I only drank one night this weekend! Go me!!

I still have a tiny bit of wine in my fridge (enough for 1 glass), so I'll probably have that this evening. Otherwise, I'll have all 0's until Friday :)

Friday was great. I really cleaned a spot in my house and now the rest looks awful. :grumble: I had wine Friday and some vodka on Saturday. Yesterday I nursed a bottle of red all day long. :drinker: (that is moderation in my book) I still feel a bit out of sorts. I can't really put my finger on it. It is just like things aren't aligned right with the universe. I will meditate more and see if I can't figure it all out. IN the past I have ignored these feelings and it always turned out that there was something out there that was off. I am trying to pay better attention to all that is.

Welcome back Chloe. I love the picture.

Welcome back Diana. I have ab envy.

Have an awesome day my dear lushes!

Nothing for me last night and it was a well needed zero. Who knows about tonight, maybe some Malbec I have leftover from Saturday?

I ended up with plans again. We got together with all 3 of Eric's brothers (one if in from San Fran this week) and their parents and had dinner and then everyone came over till about 9:30. Needless to say, the wine is gone. I had a beer at dinner and 8 ounces of red. Tonight I really will have a 0. Maybe a glass or two of red Wednesday.

    Way to go, Kate!

I had a glass of wine last night before dinner...but that was it! 0's for the rest of the week!! WOO HOO!

On Saturday night my friend is having a Friend's Thanksgiving, which will be Mexican food theme...YUM! I'm trying to figure out what I can bring besides my corn dip I like to make...and I'm thinking maybe some Mexican cornbread muffin...but idk yet!
