I like your style Diane...I prefer to call it thrifty. I am the coupon queen here at my house. I took the hubby with me last weekend as my daughter was too busy to go. I saved 40% on my groceries and that was with the "treats" that he through in the cart. If he hadn't it would have been more like 73%! He was amazed at the amount of money saved.

Quick Note to Remember: fun size candy does not = fun size......:drinker: (water is your friend)....

We're having a pot luck at lunch today - I brought in chips and pretzels - since if I don't cook for home or church why would I cook for work???? Humans - gotta love 'em.... giggles....  - I'm on clean-up crew at home / church.... be glad I brought what I brought - could have just as easily just brought my appetite.....:glasses:

By the way - wearing a black pencil skirt and nice sweater - and heels - to remember that if I want to stay in the new sizes need to not over indulge at work.... giggles....

Sue- Thanks for the graphic. It's what I am trying to work on....CONSISTENCY

Carol, I am sure you look WOWSA in the skirt and heels! I would rather cook, I hate being on the clean up crew. Too much work for me

I am up to walking 40 min @ 2.8 mph on my $75 treadmill. According to the database, it's a "leisurely" stroll. At my size, I am sweating like ... well, you know. My distance today was 2 miles or 3.1 km. I could not have done this a week ago. So fun!!!

    Ho Ho Hatters!

Promised myself when I got home from work I'd take a few minutes to post and catch up - since I'm in bed by 8pm on this shift times seems to disappear after an early dinner! It's been a busy few weeks, but it's all good and I'm a happy camper. Since I hit my goal weight of 140 and stopped logging, it's been "interesting" maintaining lol... I've managed to stay within 2 lbs of hitting it, but I have noticed I have slipped a bit "nutritionally" without as many veggies getting in as there should be... part of that was due to some dental issues... its hard to crunch broccoli at those times and no, I will NOTstick it in a blender and make soup out of it lol... since the dental work will be continuing intermittently for the next couple of weeks, I suspect this may be the first Christmas I won't have to worry about weight gain.. unless I drink it on by using wine as a painkiller LOL.. (kidding people.. kidding!)

I have started my walking again and Friday will begin the strength training at square one. Im going to have to use the treadmill for the new few weeks but today I got a walk in at lunch bundled in my parka and ear muffs lol. Hey every little bit counts right?? Anyway, at this point I am going to continuing not logging, but I admit I log in my head most days... when I'm putting together my meals I still look at the cals per serving and kinda gauge where I am... I think Im trying to test whether my brain is able to now do it on its own rather than relying on the logging as a future life plan... so far it seems to be working will keep you updated on the ups and downs of this choice down the road!

Ok, I'm gonna post this then go back and edit to do the replies after a catch up - so it may take a while lol!!

65x60 - great investment in the treadmill and scored a great price!!! When I started here I walked an hour every day; preferably outside but in the cold weather the treadmill down in my gym is a must. I read a lot about walking and weight loss, and eventually dropped it to about 30-40 a day of sustained walking... sometimes i went longer if i was out for a lovely stroll but for sustained as fast as i could walk without falling down walking, i went for 30-40 min. I'm going to start again but I've started reading a lot about the HIT (high intensity interval training) which is basically in a 20 min walk, every 5 min you crank it to as fast as you can go for one minute.. then back to fast for 5 then crank again (or crank incline) and as you get better, the intervals are closer and faster... it seems to have very good results for both cardio and especially to crank weight loss so i will probably try that for a bit and see what happens. but my personal opinion is that ANY walking is great.. not just for weight loss but also to de stress and just for in general keeping all your body parts MOVING.. and you've made fabulous progress in the short time you've been using it... WELL DONE YOU!! HUGE ONGTRATS!! KEEP US UPDATED on how you're doing with it??

Tonya = if you cook for me, I'll do the clean up!! I hate cooking ... and im not that fond of cleaning up either lolol... but.. if someone cooks seems fair!! Kudos on the couponing girl!!! i always forget mine at home... i have an app on my phone if i buy a certain product they are advertising with a coupon right on the phone, i still forget.. sigh.. however i am quite THRIFTY shopping wise... if they want my money they gotta fight for it lol.

on the great mayo debate... i like Hellman's light..... HOWEVER.. I rarely use any "light" product like that .. sour cream, mayo, et.. because when they take the fat out they put sugar in and for me, a little fat is a better option than a lot of sugar ! And my favourite condiment is yellow mustard.... i couldnt live without it........ and i will buy the no name brand of it anytime... but some things.... no way .. gotta have my name brand lol.. i think i lost track of the topic there... heading back again...

Susan - love the pic!!! our official Hatter picture poster has excelled lol... SO glad you had such a nice time with your friend Lauren...if i recall you dont get to see her often so you must have been a happy camper!!

I saw twerking and tweaking comments.. i get the tweking reference ... but not a chance imevery gonna try it!! Altho i probably resemble one on occasion when i get a charlie horse in the middle of the night and try desperately to heave the covers off to get outta bed!

Gail I thought of you tonight when i BAKED my squash lol.. couldnt try Tammys recipe as it was an acorn squash, but still wanna try it.... and ty for the asparagus recipe!!!! yummmmmmmm

Carol - LOLOL at your pot luck offerings...... since all my friends know i can't cook well, everytime we have one they say "you can be the boy and bring the bread/buns lol..... !

Tammy - hope you're not having too long a week at school and that you're still enjoying the new post...... how are the protein goals going??? i desperately need to drink more water but honestly at work I cannot run to the the bathroom every two seconds so i admit i tend to start drinking more when i get home.... hmmmm.. thats true on more points than one HAHHAHAHAH

pATRICE.. how are things in your corner of the world??? every time i see your profile pic I think THAT is my dream for retirement lol... hope you're doing well my friend!

well, i had to take a break for dinner but now it's bedtime for bonzo and still have to prep lunch (thankfully some leftovers from tonight will take care of that) and hit the sack... have a few days off coming off soon so will be about more!! Only a week left in the month ladies... LETS GIVE IT 100%!!

PSA-Don't eat bacon grilled cheese sandwiches with a glass or two of red wine if you don't have a gallbladder. Especially if you have acid reflux! Poor Rick made dinner and I didn't want to hurt his feelings but I can guarantee that he will never make them again after last nights adventure. #longassenviromentalmmetings#hubbymakingdinner#TMI?probably...lol

Things have stalled in my corner of the world. It's cold (for us at 29F) and I don't feel like walking outside and falling on my *kitten* on ice...Plus the dental wok is keeping me eating on only one side of my mouth until I get the stitches out in a few weeks. But it's not keeping me from eating the wrong things. darnit! Since I don't get reminded there are posts on the hatters board, I forget to check in. Looks like things are moving along. Is it too late to get a long island ice tea? Or maybe a hot toddy since it's so cold!

'Hope all of my American friends are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Happy Hanukkah to all who celebrate. And to my Canadian friends - let me tell you how jealous I am that your Thanksgiving is so much further away from Christmas on the calendar than ours!
