I did not deserve this drop. No exercise and very few well behaved days in the last week. I thought I would gain a few lbs. The increased activity around Christmas must have helped. I like the loss but I don't think I earned it.
You did something right...maybe kicked in that metabolism. Whatever it was, it's yours so you earned it.0 -

Week 1: 12/07/13 = 307.3 -3.4lbs (Last time I weighed this little was August of 1995 when I got a physical for work. Weighed in at 308 then. )
Week 2: 12/14/13 = 304.3 -3 lbs And below goal. Changing goal to 299 lbs. I may not make it with the holiday, but why not shoot for it?
Week 3: 12/21/13 = 305.2 + .9 I say it was hubris, but more probably this darn cold. No exercise in almost a week and comfort eating. Back to my original goal? lol

Not as big of a loss as I was hoping for, but still pretty awesome! Had to move my personal training to last night so I am retaining a ton of water right now for muscle repair. So close to my monthly goal so here's hoping Christmas week goes well!

12/19/13= 230 (+5) Doctor put me on some meds that he said would make me gain a few lbs :sad: But I'm sure I'll drop them next week when I'm off the meds... Hopefully I can pull off some loss this month :frown:
12/26/13= 232 (+2) Hopefully now that I'm past Christmas I can start to lose again... Excited about getting back into my routine and back to the gym :drinker:

Malia, I completely understand your sentiments. I love Christmas, but this year I was so happy to see the end to all those huge meals. I weighed on Christmas morning, so I only had one big meal prior to the weigh in...and I have a week to work off the Christmas cookies....thank goodness!!0 -

Congratulations to everybody who posted losses in December! Cheers for everyone who held the line over the holidays!
And most importantly...words of encouragement and absolution to anyone who might have perhaps...accidently...pushed the boundries of mindfulness when faced with the full reality of the range and domain of the season's temptations. To you, I draw to mind the words of the philosopher Hal Morgenstern who said, "Failure is not falling down. Failure is staying down."
January was MADE for redemption!
Me? My numbers are a mystery. I deliberately did not weigh myself this month. But I have new jeans that are a size smaller than the new jeans i bought a month ago...
When the clinic I weigh in at opens again in January...we will see if my attempt at moderation and mindful indulgence over the holidays was more successful than last year's denial/restrictions/binging that added five pounds to the problem.
But everybody who logged faithfully this month, even if you were not logging the most sound of nutritional decisions (like the ones I made), gets my grins and cheers!
