Ok totals are 345 of cardio (with my jabbing and upper cuts for combat). I have 135 min. of cardio to donate. Strength is 115. I have my planks x4. - but I've actually done more than the 60 sec. Stayed within my eating plans and am really thinking I've lost weight and inches. But we'll see.
Amy great job. Nothing wrong with a more mellow week. You still hit your totals. Ok how'd everyone else do??0 -
Cardio of 310 , strength of 105 + 60 of core and punishment done.0
-
Scores have been tallied and sent off - Great Job Walkers!!!!
Im sure the walkers will get a few kills in tonight - with luck they kill the people holding Beth and the guys with Darryl. Happy hunting Walkers!!0 -
Good morning ladies and gents! I was able to get in 180 cardio, 105 strength, cals good and planks done. I expect to get way more in this week since I am no longer sick.
I have to say that ya'll are absolutely amazing! I am totally blown away by what each of you is able to accomplish.0 -
Challenge has been posted - make sure to check it out and discuss it. I will need a decision by the end of the day!!!!!0

Ok I haven't watched last night's episode yet so I'm trying to not read the recaps - but I think I get that we as a group need to decide one exercise we want to have every one do as punishment?
I'm thinking maybe a combo move such as :
Squat to Overhead Press
Works quadriceps, hamstrings, butt, abs, shoulders
A. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, elbows bent, a 5-pound weight in each hand at shoulder height, palms forward. Lower into a squat (don’t let knees go past toes); hold for a moment.
B. Push through heels to stand up, pressing weights overhead.0 -
I have squat presses in my lifting, does that count? hahaha0
-
Tyreese and Sasha already chose a punishment exercise:
Inchworm: Stand up tall with the legs straight, and do like Lil’ Jon and let those fingertips hit the floor. Keeping the legs straight (but not locked!), slowly lower the torso toward the floor, and then walk the hands forward. Once in a push-up position, start taking tiny steps so the feet meet the hands. Continue bugging out for 4-6 reps.
Do 3 days this week.

Sorry, this is the first I've been able to check the threads today! I just watched last night's episode. I still do not have a good feeling about Terminus. I'm hoping the new comers don't end up as Terminus' food source... LOl That Mary lady was a little bit creepy!!!!
I second this idea for our extra strength piece this week. I like this idea, and it looks like it works various muscles!0 -

This looks like it would be a good exercise for the Team. Is there a video for it so people who haven't done it can see the proper form?
Im thinking 50 reps, and you can do it without weights if you need to.0 -
Here's the You Tube link for the squats to overhead press.

While I am happy to do the squat presses, I think our punishment has already been picked.0

There is a punishment exercise. There is also a Team exercise this week.0 -
And that is what I get for skimming. lol0

Happens to the best of us. Both exercises are part of strength this week so that should help alot. I see most people struggling with that portion of the challenge.0 -

LMAO I was right there with ya....I was lost also.....:blushing:0 -
I am really trying to make my goals this week. So far, been fine with calories, have a few more squat presses to do, haven't done any inch worm thingies, have 135 minutes of strength and only 30 of cardio. I have a difficult time getting in that much cardio when I do strength 3 days a week. Hopefully I will get in some good walking time on Saturday.
I hope everyone is having a great week!0 -
Sorry for not being so active on the boards this week. I've been struggling this week - not sure if its the snow we got on Monday or what. I've done the bare minimum each day to at least keep up my totals. I will make the goals but probably nothing over. I actually like the inch worm thingies - I've done those and the bench press squats while watching tv at home so at least I've not been a total couch bum. Its rainy here now and so getting outside is not going to happen I'm thinking I may have to purchase another monthly pass at the community center where there's an inside track as the long ranger shows rain all next week and I cannot not do any exercise during my lunch hours!
I hope everyone else is doing ok this week.0 -

I hear you, girly. I've been in a funk for like 3 weeks now. This is ridiculous. Definitely not feeling like myself, ugh. I'll get my totals done, though! I really, really was not feeling the gym tonight but I told myself I HAD to do it and I needed to go, so I went. I felt so much better after and was glad that I did!! How's everyone else doing this week? Work is also picking up, so it's been really busy and I haven't been able to check the board as much. Sorry for the lack of correspondence this week!
Let's go team, let's get it done 1 week left after this one!!!0 -
REMINDER -
TOTALS ARE DO TOMORROW BY MIDNIGHT.
HOW IS EVERYONE DOING? ANYONE NEED TO GET SOME HELP FROM THE TEAM?0 -
Figured my totals so far and I need another 45 min in cardio and 20 min of strength to get my minimums for this week. Aye aye it's been a very in motivating week. Sorry guys I won't have any extra to help out anyone. I'm up and off to the lake here tus morning to do the 4 mile trail around the lake. Once it gets daylight and warms up a bit!
I've been hitting it hard the last what 4 weeks that we've been on the challenge so I'm wondering if my body just needed more of a break this week. Tomorrow we have a trials event and I'll be riding it and if you don't know what trials riding is google it and you will see it's very strenuous - so I'm not sure if you would count it as cardio or strength maybe split between the two? I'll post after the event and get thoughts. But I will have a good start for next weeks totals.
Good luck on getting your totals today team!0 -
Soooooo I have 195 in strength!!! But only a measly 135 in cardio. What does this mean for me?0
-
Ok TJ got my totals done - nothing over this week so sorry guys I don't have any extra to give to any one. I completed the inch worm punishment and our team challenge of bench press squat. And stayed on my deficit for eating. Hope everyone else did good! I'll pick up the pace next week. Promise!0
-
cardio :406 , strength : 120 + punishment + Team exercise but I wasn't sure where the got added in at . Tj take whatever people need.0
-
Awesome job Georgie!0
-
Wow, awesome totals Georgie! Great job this week. I was short on strength (woops) but got in everything else.
Final week, here we go0 -
REMINDER - this is the last week of the challenge - push yourselves as hard as you can - you can rest when your dead, or next week!!!!!0

Leader board and recap have been posted.

Tyreese and Sasha will be deciding the last punishment exercise of the season.
Also remember this is the week to get your 2 points for doing a Fitspiration, the early bird challenge 4 was:
A big part of survival in the apocalypse will be teaching and inspiring others. In week 9, there will be bonus points (2) awarded to everyone who contributes a fitspo to the MFP Fitspiration thread.
Part One:

Part Two:

Part Three:

Part Four
Add your fitspo here:
http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1198808-mfp-fitspiration
If you haven't done a fitspo yet, think of what you've accomplished in the last 9 weeks and make one now to make 2 points for your team this week. Browse the 4 part thread for inspiration (you'll find plenty). As you can see, a fitspo is just a motivational quote on a picture. It can be a before and after picture, a picture of yourself dancing, a picture of the street you jog on, the park you walk through or of an obstacle you've had to fight past. As long as the quote and picture have inspired you, it will inspire others. Message your team captain when you have posted one or remind them that you have done so already.0 -
REMINDER - this is the last week of the challenge - push yourselves as hard as you can - you can rest when your dead, or next week!!!!!
In a strange way I am going to miss this when it's over...LOL0 -
I will definitey miss it! I think I read somewhere on here that they were thinking of doing another one for the off season? If so I would love to be included.
I have a great start to my numbers this week. Feeling much better and more motivated. I walked and rode trials for 3 hours yesterday - so I just added 60 min. to my cardio and 30 min. to strength as manuevering a trials bike over rocks definitely requires strength! And today I've already done a 45 min. run and going to go back out tonight - it is beautiful here and I am taking advantage of it.
I'm waiting for our punishment exercises but going to go ahead and do my strength circuit tonight of pushups, squats, lunges during my run out on the nature trail around the lake.0
