I've got a beer quickly frosting in the fridge because I'z thirsty.

I was crazy busy at work today. One very sick pt and one whiny patient with 2 normal-ish ones. I had my reveiw yesterday so I am in the clear for another year.

I've not been good in the exercise department so I will join you Sydney in that department!!

Kim, it would be so hard to sell a home you love if you don't really want to.

What I like is all the improvements and will hate to start all over again to have things the way I like them. Ron and I have done a lot of custom woodworking in this house and it has been a labor of love. But, we are bursting at the seems. When we moved in 15 years ago, we came from military life and we didn't have a lot. Now, we just accumulated a houseful of kids and their ****. Plus, I would love to have a master bathroom off the bedroom all to myself

    M - 0
    T - 0
    W - 7.5
    R - scored a 0
F - have a happy hour for my boss' 25 year anniversary. Then going to the in laws to take dinner and an adorable toddler to cheer up my 82 year old MIL after her knee surgery Monday. May have a couple beers there.
S - having friends stay with us, but not till late, so not sure.
Su - supposed to drink margaritas with a friend at some point during that day.

    Still shooting for max 18.

We bought our house almost 3 years ago. Since then, we have finished the basement (about 700 SF), added onto the deck, put in a hot tub, and landscaped our backyard. Now we're talking about redoing half the roof, adding a dormer and another bedroom and play room. I'd also like a carport at some point with small out building to house wood and pottery shops. And do all this without pricing ourselves out of the neighborhood....... I figure we MAY get some of our investment back. Unlike all the money we spend on booze and food that have absolutely zero monetary return.

    Happy Friday lushes!

Well, nothing last night because I had some horrible 24 hour stomach bug, called in ill at work. I'm just glad that I was not sick for days and days.

Tomorrow is a 12-hour work day and then it's back to exercising and getting ready for the 1/2 marathon. I really need to be more disciplined with this. I don't want to be the turtle (although, he does end up winning).

SoCal....A handyman is a great trait.

Just make sure the handyman is a "finisher". Wife's sister's husband has tons of household remodel projects started and not finished. ie, no molding around doorways, outlet covers not on. A patch of siding on the outside of the house that has never been painted. - you get the picture.

Or you could just befriend a handyman. With your charm I am sure he would work for free!

The most amazing dinner Friday night at the Metropolitan Grill. Awesome waiter and amazing food. Spent Saturday puttering around the market and buying fresh fruit, vegies and cheese and bread and wine for an in room picnic. Then it was off to a great show. Spamalot is a lot of fun. I also bought two more knives for my kitchen collection. Special knife maker and Seattle cutlery is their only USA distributor. I love them but they are almost $100 each so I only get one or two when we go to town. I know have 6 total. They make cooking fun.

2 bottle of red over the whole weekend. one Pear lemon drop at the met and one other glass of red at the met.

Great weekend. I hope you all are doing well.

Gary, good reminder on the finishing aspect...

Well, I have been lush free Friday & Saturday. I am hoping to go until next weekend.

Robin, so happy to hear of you getting away and enjoying a great weekend. I  all kitchen gadgets and am a sucker for all things like that.

I did relatively well last week!

    M - 0
    T - 0
    W - 7.5
    R - 0
    F - 2 pints of beer at my boss' 25th celebration. A 312 at my in-laws = 3
    S - I'll say 6 glasses of wine and 1.5 beers = 7.5

18! My goal! Goal this week is 17 or less. Having 3 0's throught the week really helped with this so I think I'll try that again. And I got some good workouts in too. Success!

Had a great time in Costa Rica, drank too much. Not weighing in until Wednesday but I know it won't be good. Although I didn't drink yesterday
    Sunday= 0 drinks

I had girl scout cookies and hagen das, and then this morning I come into work and people give me caramel scone and tollhouse cookie. Plus, I was being so strict before I left, I practically have a list of things I want to pig out on now....

Goal for the week=7 drinks or less!

BAH! My allergies have turned into a cold. Maybe a virus, maybe bacterial.

I have a tried and true anti-septic at home. Alcohol.

Will begin human trials on me, later this evening.

I think I may be on to to something.

    I love medical research.

My husband used to say if you feel a sore throat coming on just take a shot of whiskey. I don't get sick really but on the off chance/rare times I have I always think of that haha. I'd much rather take booze than medicine. When you think about it, it totally makes sense…alcohol kills germs.

Just had my first non-stress test, have to have them twice a week until the baby is born I'm guessing. Baby passed her test just fine and I guess I passed too. They took a few tests and sent them to my doc who I see for my check up on Friday. I was there for about 2 hours but I'd rather be safe than sorry and I certainly want to make sure little girl is alright.

Time to go work out before husband gets home.

    So, here's my day.....

0530 - daughter calls house from college to inform me she's throwing up and sick. Ummm, do you WANT me to come there?

0700 - Son is about to head off to first day of orientation at new job and says he feels sick. I see him get a big glass of water. I tell him "DON'T DRINK THE WATER" and he says, "PEOPLE ARE THIRSTY, MA". I again warn him that 2 of us are living proof not to drink. The two with living proof are nodding our heads. :noway:

0730 - Son calls from car saying that he just threw up all over himself and the truck. He was unable to pull over on the highway in time. Vomit is all over him and the vehicle. Son asks me to meet him at the car with shorts because he somehow pulled his pants off during the drive and didn't want to walk to the house in his underwear. OMG!!

0800 - I am cleaning the vomit out of the truck and bagging barfy clothes because I obviously feel bad for him.

Spend the day getting other boys off to school, scouring kitchen, grocery shopping & doing errands:yawn:

3:30 - Daughter calls from college needing soup and unable to obtain it on her own. :ohwell:

    5:00 - 5:50 - I do 50 minute kettle-bell class and then I WANT TO VOMIT.

6:00 - I am shaking in line at Panera trying to gain control over my muscles.

6:15 - I deliver soup and care package of fluids and nourishment to the dorm.

7:45 - I am happy to see the garage door open. HOME, SWEET, HOME.

7:46 - Sick son is asking me to drive him to Target for a slushie and movie because he is too sick to take himself. I am now off to Target because I was able to bring daughter nourishment so therefore I should be nice to son too.

8:30 - I am posting here in exhaustion.

Bottom line is - Too tired to lift a wine glass

Sorry for all the sickness. And wow...supermom is right!

Kat, I hope the next 6 week (is that right?) goes quickly. Hope you are feeling good!

    M - 0

Eric had a sh*tty day at work. I informed him we only had beer and liquor (no wine). He asked if I wanted him to stop. I told him I didn't "need" wine, but if it was here, I'd drink it. He came home and ran a mile on the treadmill instead......what?! Maybe some of my "good" habits are rubbing off on him. He did have an ounce of bourbon later. But I had nothing. Score! Going to try for another 0 tonight. I have been sleeping amazing since we've been back from AZ. The first two nights back I woke up all sweaty. I am convinced when I drink heavily, my body detoxes or withdraws or something..... while I sleep. :noway:

awwwww kim....what a day! one of my fears is that the son will get super sick at college..hes an 8 hour drive away...not exactly close enough for a mom to the rescue visit. :ohwell: hope everything has settled down there now.

i had a zero yesterday but ate like crazy and didnt exercise.
need to get back on track today. all's quiet with the husband gone.

Hey everyone!!! I've had a couple of crappy weeks with the weather, work and a death in the family. Got back to work yesterday but still haven't logged a workout. I need to get back into it...only 4mths til FL vacation and I'd like to rock it!!!
I have been drinking like crazy. Len was away overnight for training and instead of going to the gym I went to the liquor store. Polished off almost a bottle of wine.
Not sure about tonight. Probably should have nothing but may polish off the bottle of wine??!!!

Sydney, tha'st what I told the girl. What if you were far away, what would you do? LOL. I hope that boy stays nice and healthy.

Yesterday, I managed my run and today I am scheduled for another but this girl is sore. I have to sign up for the 1/2 on Friday if I am going to do it. I didn't do this **** when I was younger why do I want until I am nearly 50?

    Yesterday was 2 big beers for a friend's birthday and then I left 1/2 of a small - just.too.tired.too.drink.again.

    Kate, you're beautiful either way...:flowerforyou:

Tuesday morning, putting the dogs out back I slip on slick deck stairs. I hit my lower back. I get up and put dogs in kennel, start to cry from pain. Get in house and put lunch in back pack and start to sob from pain. Pick up my phone and call husband. he can't understand a word I am saying. I finally get out the words that I hurt my self but I want to wait a minute to see if I can shake it off. I need him to give me my new bosses number so I can call him. I call new boss and tell him I may not be in. I call my friend at work and she yells at me to get to the doctor because she can hear the pain. I call husband to come home to take me to the doctore and he says he is already on his way home. The clinic doesn't open for 2 hours. we go. Pain level between 8 and 10. I get a shot of some kind of NSAD. I get xrays. Nothing broken, no blood in urine. I get muscle relaxers and hydrocodone. I go home and sleep all day. Today I am still in pain and at home but doing better. No alcohol because of meds. no exercise because of pain. lots of grilled cheese because that is my go to comfort food. I have to go to work tomorrow. I hope I feel better.

Probably. I mean, you don't want it to go to waste! There's alcohol abuse and alcohol neglect and I think neglect is worse:wink:

    Sunday=0 drinks
    Monday=4 drinks
    Tuesday=0 drinks

Probably 0 tonight and then beers tomorrow. My husband has shows in Colorado Springs all weekend and I don't have plans, so I might be very healthy and save my splurges for Sunday brunch or something...

    Welcome back Katie!

Sydney, ice cream for dinner sounds lovely.

Robin, sorry about the fall. Ouch!

Kim, sleep is a good excuse for not drinking I guess. ;)

    M- 0
T - Had a text from Eric on my phone after yoga, "you getting red wine?" So I did. And drank half the bottle of course. So 2.5.

Nothing tonight. Friend is coming over to watch Grey's tomorrow so I'll have wine. Hopefully keep it low key Friday night and Saturday night too. We have a Mardi Gras party to attend, but we're taking our daughter so will only be staying a couple hours. I'm making a cheat king cake - monkey bread with icing and sprinkles.

Oh, MamaLush - I am sad that you are hurt. The NSAID is vistaril and it is a wonder drug for anti-inflammatory, it also comes in a oral form. Also, works well with the oxy  if you know what I mean.

Syd...that is a great dinner :drinker: :drinker: Funny, how naughty you are when hubby is gone.

I'm on week #7 of my marathon training. I have to commit officially on Friday. Tonight is some much needed yoga.

Hey Robin, how are you feeling today? Better I hope!!!!!

Told Len to finish up the wine last night, had a few sips, then decided to open another bottle :noway: So I had about 8oz.
Again no workout for me today and tomorrow morning I have an 7:20am eye doctor appt, so maybe I'll get to the gym after work, MAYBE :ohwell:

Saturday is the first of a new month and I plan on getting back into with consistancy and purpose. I need to. This month has just been insane with all the snow. Even if I can't make it to the gym I WILL do yoga or circuits at home. I just need a routine again, I have been so off!!!! Work has been super stressful, this snow has been super annoying but I can't let those things dictate my life anymore!

    Have a great day!!!

Oh Mama Lush :ohwell: I hope you're feeling better today :flowerforyou:

Good to see you again Kate!

I've had it with the snow and cloudy days too :grumble: it's flurrying as we speak.

Saturday we have our baby party which should be fun. I'm glad they all finally listened and stopped trying for a baby shower. In the meantime I just got done working out and now need to shower, get ready and head to the hospital for my second non-stress test. Hoping baby does well again, check up at the doctor tomorrow followed by hang out time with Mom and Gram
