I meant to post this on Friday...my 365th day!
HW: 307

CW: 144.6

Pants: 30/32
Shirts: 5XL
October 18, 2016:
Pants: 8/10
Shirts: M/L (depending on style, arm cut)
I'm currently in Week 5 of a C25K program and signed up for a Santa Dash on December 4, 2016.
I have plastics consults set up to discuss my arms and chest. When my surgeon saw my arms he responded, "Oh, that's extreme." Which made me chuckle.9 -
Super rad!2

Hi, My name is Gina. I am 53.
I am pre-surgery right now. I have just started the process of losing 30 pounds before surgery.
I am 5'2" and I weighed 299 at my first appointment.
I wear size 3x pants and 3x shirts
My shoe size is women's 7-7.5 but my feet are too wide for most shoes so I wear kids size as they are wider.
Right now I am researching and trying to decide between the sleeve and RNY. I don't have any family for support so here I am!3 -
@lighthowz - good luck - this will be the most emotionally trying but rewarding journey you will go through.
Personally, I wish I had the sleeve - most people I speak to have had less issues with digesting different foods and oddly enough losses were greater than my gastric bypass.
i have lost 30-32 lbs since my surgery in April 2016. Total loss has been 69.7 lbs. I had issues digesting meats for a couple of weeks and everyone I know who had the sleeve and have had more significant losses and fewer food issues. Definitely do your research - I wish I had done more and in hindsight my surgeon pushed me more in the direction of bypass. I didn't dig deeper just listened to his rationalization. I initially wanted sleeve and wound up with bypass. Do your research and go with your gut - don't let anyone, including your surgeon convince you to do what they want.
In the end, I am glad I had any procedure because I feel way better! Good luck!2 -

Not in any smaller sizes yet, but trench coat I couldn't button in Jan. I can now button and tie the sash (w/o any gaping!) I am also able to wear some of my button-up blouses as blouses instead of as over shirts for tank tops. My bras are fitting properly instead of my cups running over.
I am only a few weeks post-surgery, and I have joined a gym and will start working with a trainer on Friday. I am excited for my future, and really appreciate reading everyone else's posts.

Hi. I'm Tracy from North Dakota. I'm 43 years old and had my sleeve done on 8/29/16 so I'm 2 months out.
Highest Weight: 275
Surgery Weight: 254
Current Weight: 219
Height: 5'5"
I'm very excited because this past weekend I finally gave myself permission to go shopping for some new clothes. I have been wearing a size 24 for everything. When my teenage son told me I was looking sloppy I decided it was time (especially since I need to dress nicely for work). I bought size 18 dress pants and size 20 jeans!! I haven't seen a "teen" for many many years.
I've been walking more and am now 2 weeks into doing a heavy lifting program with my sister. Love feeling stronger!6 -
Hey There, my surgery was many many years ago. I was 5'3" and weight was 230lbs when I had my surgery in February of 2002. I have been up and down since but am on the down turn again hopefully for the last time. I started having kids a little before a year was up post op. The lowest point I got to was about 140lbs before becoming pregnant. I met my husband just before my surgery. I have had 4 pregnancies and 3 babies (one miscarriage) since my surgery. After my children my body had a very hard time recouping my iron numbers. A few years ago I was diagnosed with anaemia and malabsorption and got an iron infusion. That helped a lot. I got one the following year and haven't needed one for 2 years since. They check my blood every 6 months to make sure I never get so low again. I feel like I am doing really well finally. I am still wanting to lose more weight and am working towards that through the holidays. I currently weigh 159 and will be 45 years old next week. MFP is so great. I am eating 1400 calories daily at the moment and hope this good momentum continues. I weigh in once every few weeks since I do not want to define myself and live by the scale. Health and teaching my children healthy eating habits is my priority. Good luck everyone. Any questions, feel free to ask.6

I exercise at least three times a week. I had a rough few months with a stall in weight loss and totally lost most of my routine. I went through a divorce, but it was amicable for the most part. I have a new boyfriend and bought my house. I'm back on track now and I'm loving life and back to losing weight. This was the most difficult and most rewarding thing that I've ever done for myself and those around me. I've decided to hold off on skin surgery and pursue a pregnancy this fall! I'm looking forward to another amazing year.

Hi all.
I had VSG on March 23, 2015, at my highest I was 405 lbs, at my pre-op I was 357, day of surgery I was 342 (thanks to the pre-op liquid diet). I never got close to my goal, my lowest was 238 and I am currently at 263.8, I am food logging, exercise logging, I got a FitBit Charge 2, and I am Bullet Journaling to help keep me going and get me back on track. I've lost 4 lbs in the last week so I am headed in the right direction.
Stats:
Height: 5'5"
Highest weight: 405
Surgery weight: 357 (pre-op check-in)
Pants: mostly 28s but I had one pair of 30s
Tops: 3x
Current weight: 263.8
Pants: 20s I think, I'm kind of in between sizes now I think
Tops: 2x
My goal weight for maintenance: 200 (though if I hit 170 and can stay there I wouldn't complain LOL)
As I have never had money or been able to work where I had really good insurance while single I doubt I will ever have skin removal surgery even though I know I need it. (I was married at the time of surgery and was on his insurance.)
I want to wish everyone on here much love and luck on their journeys to their happiest selves!
