5 mile advanced walk with Leslie today.

97 miles with Leslie to date

    48 miles outside to date

    145 miles total to date

goal 100 ...yeah met my goal!

I didn't get much walking in yesterday, we were demolishing a huge deck but my steps were high, 23000 on sunday and 13400 yesterday, so if you count the miles it was a lot. yesterday it said 6 miles and sunday it said 11, but I am not adding those in my miles walked. so glad that is done, now to build a new one!

everyone is doing so good! I see a lot of goal breakers coming!!!

Hello fellow walkers! I had no idea there was a group on here and I am thrilled to join in. Last week I celebrated 200 miles walking. I combine my Leslie DVDs with walking outside. Weather permitting I power walk 4 miles minimum at sunrise. When kept inside I use my DVDs. For mothers day my son gifted me the 30 Day Walk off collection and I love it. May is about over but I commit to walking 20 miles.

Hi Startergal53- Endomondo is an app for iPhone that I downloaded to my iPad to track my walks and mountain hikes with GPS. I use the free version so it tells me my miles and time per mile each mile. It keeps me on pace since I do not have Leslie's "beats per minute" to go by. I am trying to challenge myself to do one more mile each time when I walk the neighborhood and having a voice in my backpack say "One mile in 14 minutes 2 seconds" is very motivating! It is a good basic app for walkers and hikers who carry their iPhone, iPad, iPad mini etc with them on their hikes/walks. As an added bonus, it also tells you your calorie burn although it is always higher than MFP so I am guessing it is inflated a bit. :ohwell: Try it for your outdoor walks and see if you like it. Brenda

Welcome PinkyPan1, It delights me to no end to find a new walker when we are nearing the end of a month. I am so happy that you didn't wait till next month, but are jumping right in and making goals for the last several days remaining. That rocks big time the way I see it :drinker:

Great way to walk the miles combining indoor and outdoor miles. There are many ways to get our walk on  .

zichab, thanks for sharing this information with us. I'm still in the "dumb" flip phone era instead of those lovely "smart" or i Phones  . I keep telling my daughter that I'm getting closer than ever to switching  . That app sounds amazing and sure is tipping the scale a bit more.

Thank you for the wonderful welcome. Put me down for 3.5 miles for today. I had my days of the week a little mixed up today and only managed a few miles. Tomorrow is another day.
