Okay - so we've got a full rosta then... I'll go through the list and add in "Strava User Names/URL's" to the list I think, and perhaps we could set up a Disposable Strava "Club" for the Challenge as well...
ETA: I've actually placed the Strava Names and URL's into the "Logging Spreadsheet" for convenience... If anyone wants to check that I've got the correct name/url in there, or fancies a sneak preview of the sheet, have a look in the "Rosta" tab on
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YhGj-P34GYYtd-IVhhnPQjBraKXfe2z3OFMBoOZO6AI/edit?usp=sharing
I've dropped in the names that I already know, either from long aquaintance, or from the last challenge where everyone posted up a reference but I'm missing details for henryda04... if you're reading this mate, get in touch please...
So if you can just drop me a PM with your Strava Name/URL (it'll be in the format "http://app.strava.com/athletes/165533" (and your name is the name that shows up at the top right hand side of the screen))0 -
TBY - Hey! Great idea. The Strava club for the challenges would be great. If you make one or need some else to make one let me know and I'll join or do what ever you need.0
-
"club" now set up on Strava - http://app.strava.com/clubs/MFP_LeTourChallenge - it's a closed group, so it's by invite or application only - i've sent invites to everyone already on my newsfeed, but if I've missed anyone, just give me a shout!0

So for anyone on Team One, you can find me on Strava under Dean Aldrich.0

Hope you Like the Flags
Actually, if anyone wants to follow fellow team members, an easy way to pick up their rider references is to look in the logging spreadsheet
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1YhGj-P34GYYtd-IVhhnPQjBraKXfe2z3OFMBoOZO6AI/edit?usp=sharing
under the "Rosta" tab. Therein is a list of all the riders for this Grand Tour, with their MFP name, cross referenced to the Strava Name and Athlete URL (for easy "click and stalk" access )
And of course, I'm pretty sure you've all had an invite by now to join the Strava "Popup Team" I've created for this challenge -
http://www.strava.com/clubs/MFP_LeTourChallenge
which puts all of our rides (or at least the ones of the people who have had the decency to accept the invite!) into one place.
While we're on the subject of teams, why not also apply to join the Main MyFitnessPal Strava Team
http://www.strava.com/clubs/gs-myfitnesspal
For the folk in this challenge, just apply and i'll accept the application - for anyone reading this that fancy's joining that isn't in the challenge, apply, but send me a PM on here stating your Strava name so that I can keep membership of the Strava Group to people who actually participate on MFP
(We had a situation last year where a bunch of people joined as "pot hunters" just to get to be the top of lots and lots of leaderboards - so I had a bit of a "purge" and knocked out a shedload of people I didn't recognise from on here, and made the group "invite or authorisation only")
Anyhoo... More Dossards incoming...0 -

Yay - that's fab - thanks!!! :-)0 -
Okay "on with the motley..."
(anyone spot the "easter egg" in this batch )0 -
Love the flags. I was surprised to see the Sufferland flag! That was fantastic! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0

I try and sneak a little "easter egg" into each batch of the dossards, so much more fun than just "cookie cutter" versions for everyone... yours was a natural, as was the 313 being inverted (serves double duty of course, as Kupe is down in the penal colonies anyway - and it's the nearest to the "draw 13, you wear it upside down" superstition we can get...
I quite like the team 3 one though... subtle, I thought :laugh:0 -
Okay Folks Important Announcement - news has reached me that one of the members of team#4 has deactivated their account, and "might return to MFP but not real soon." - so I guess we should wish them well, hope they get things sorted out, and in the meantime, we NEED a substitute for team #4 as soon as possible folks...0

I like the custom stuff, hmm what could I have for Nottingham .... Robin Hood perhaps?0 -
I like it as well.
Mine would be pretty obvious.
Cowbells...coffee...:laugh:0 -
Only "Custom Job" for the 4th team (so far at least) is a special request from veloman21 who happens to be English, but located in the Former Colonies... so, just so people didn't think he was a Septic, we cooked up the current one...
oh, and J...
Nottinghamshire Flag

Got my number and ready to ride....!
We will be on cycling vacation in the UK during this challenge. Husband and I are doing the end to end. (LEJOG).
We are truly on vacation so giving ourselves about 3 weeks so we can experience the UK and not just get in mileage each day.
If we hate it, then we'lll just hop a train for London!
Flight leaves tomorrow night. We sent our bikes ahead so they are waiting for us in Penzance. Excited!0 -
like the Team 3
his 'n hers dossards
too bad I can't get my husband on team 3 that would really help getting to double count each day for the team. dang why did I not think of that...he even has an MFP account and has had great success with it.0 -

Okay folks,
Back on the "proper" computer (been on the App earlier and couldn't see the communities bit to check on this thread)
As I think I said - subs bench to be filled "first come, first served" - which means that substitutes who have posted in here are...
1. KaktusJaque
2. glenncomiskey
(i've also had messages from a couple of other people - icehurtz and ScientificExplorerGirl, but in the interest of fairness and visibility to everyone I said everything had to be done in this thread - so order of subs. is down to postion of posting in here...)
So - Jaques, Mon Ami.. it looks like you're riding at #337 - if you fancy it
Oh, and glenn...thanks for stepping up, and don't be surprised if we end up calling on your services - with a group this size, sadly, real life often intervenes at the damnedest moments, and i'm really, really happy that we've got at least another 1-3 substitutes just in case... it makes me far more comfortable to know, especially as we're going hardline on this one with no substitutions after the rollout from Leeds, that no team should end up starting the challenge with one man down...0 -

That sounds great - hope we put on decent weather for you!! LEJOG is something I'd like to do one day too so I'll be interested to hear how you get on0 -
