I like it. Good thinking. :drinker:

I apologize in advance if I comment too much. :blushing: Encouraging others helps me to encourage myself because I don't want to be a hypocrite! You guys can do this and I'm super optimistic about our chances.

    Happy weigh-in on Friday.

    Weight posted!!

What do you think about sharing our goals and a few other 'tidbits' with each other to help each other get to know each other a bit and keep ourselves motivated?

    Challenge goal
    Greatest obstacle/challenge (time....)
    Favorite exercise
    Favorite healthy snack

If anyone has a better idea/more ideas, feel free to add on!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Challenge goal: #1 get into the 100 Club! #2 Lose 15 lbs!

Greatest obstacle/challenge (time....): Right now my achilles tendinosis is my biggest obstacle, and once school starts up again time becomes my greatest obstacle. Getting through it without getting myself down or 'giving' up is when I need the most support!

Favorite exercise: Tennis is my favorite, I love to run...but haven't allowed myself to start that yet so walking has been my go to.

Favorite healthy snack: A fruit smoothie with greens.

    Have an awesome evening!!

    Great idea!

Goal for this challenge: get into the 220's
Greatest obstacle: myself and getting enough exercise. To help with this I signed up for the biggest loser run in sept.
    Favorite healthy snack: fruit smoothie
My first big goal: to make it to node rand and go ziplining

Just read the FAQs......here is what it says about the weigh ins:

    2. What if we have a team member who doesn't weigh in? If they don't weigh in for 2 weeks (consecutive or not), they won't be able to be in the group. If you have a group member that doesn't weigh in one week, they will still count towards your total.

Set a reminder on your phone or something to make sure you weigh in next week!! Great job!

    Hey guys,
I'm so so so sorry! Let you all down in the first week!:embarassed: I don't get any notifications from the forum on any of my devices, so it's then down to my memory. One of the challenges I was in had team leaders who posted reminders in their newsfeed, and that was really helpful.

    So sorry again.

Hope everyone had a great start to their week!! I'm a teacher and have 'most' of my summer off, but for some absurd reason volunteered to write curriculum for two weeks. This is my last week, and yesterday I spent quite a bit of time sitting at a desk typing. I didn't get out to exercise, but I made relatively good food choices.

Hope everyone has a great day today!!! :) Kristine

    Good afternoon ladies!
I'm an Admin aka Secretary for the non-PC peeps. :) Sit most of the day...very little activity until I get home, then it's clean this, make that. My biggest struggle is actually getting up at 4 am to go running. I've been slacking for the last week (again) which is a shame because I usually feel awesome after I run. Maybe I'll take the baby to the park if I have time after dinner. Ho-hum. :grumble:

My mom is a teacher, so I hear what you are saying Kristine. She always regretted volunteering...especially for curriculum development! :noway: Hope you have a good time for what is left of your summer.

MCW1966 - what new things are you going to try in lieu of running? Hope your knees get better.

    Kind regards, Rose

Rosie- tough getting up that early to run. I could never do it. I already really miss it, but there are a lot worse things that can happen. I am hoping to buy a good stationary bike tomorrow and start spinning in my basement. We are really rural which means there aren't any spinning classes for a 100 miles. Other than that, I have been weight training more this week.

Tomorrow is a travel day for me. Really, really, really going to try and eat well and not succumb to boredom and the call of the convenience store goodies. Weigh day is only 2 days away and I don't want to throw all my hard work this week out the window.

Hope everyone has a happy wednesday!

Sorry ladies I thought my first week weigh in went through but I guess not. I will for sure have my weigh in on friday. I have a question, where do we post our weight at? Thank you and have a great day!

Last week she posted the thread "Week Zero Weigh-in Thread" and it was pinned at the top of the discussion board. I assume Friday's post will be similar and say Week 1. It's ok, it's good to have you here now Jen! We can start really kicking butt! :)

mcw1966 - I actually went running this morning after a 1 week hiatus. Man, was it muggy! It feels good though. Good luck with your spinning class. I can't even wrap my head around being that remote. 100 miles? Wow. On my jog today I was thankful for the cars driving by because it gave a cooling breeze LOL. Hey, it's the little things.

Keep up your good work ladies. I'm feeling ultra motivated this week. :drinker:

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd check in. Rosie said above that she's super motivated this week and I'm definitely feeling the same! I started buckling down a little less than 6 weeks ago when I got engaged. Unfortunately it's been hard for me to be consistent. My week days are about 90 percent good, but my weekends are horrible. I've lost about 6 lbs total (Since the beginning of June) and that's great, but considering my weight (started @ 271, now 265) I feel like I could definitely be doing more.

I've been struggling with my weight all of my adult life, mostly after having my kid 7 years ago (even though i did get back down under my pre-pregnancy weight at one point). While I would love to be significantly lighter by my wedding in 14 months I am trying to make healthy, slow, sustainable changes. I want the weight to fall off... but I want to do it the right way. It's a frustrating battle between long-term success and instant gratification.

Anyway, sorry for the life story! I really hope everyone has a great week!

Glad to see everyone is motivated this week. I had a rough day yesterday but I'm back on board. Everyone seems to be doing a great job this week.

I'll send everyone a reminder on Friday for Weigh In.

    Have a great week!

Congrats on the engagement icoza! Exciting! No matter what the scale says on your wedding day, you will surely be a beautiful bride!

Keep us (ok, well me mainly :) ) posted on how your running is going. Always motivating to hear how hard others are working.

My food kinda sucked today Trudy- just got to keep going and improving. We'll get there.

Hot and muggy here today too- hoping for some rain and relief tomorrow.

One day 'till weigh in- lets all go hard tomorrow!! Melanie
