Hope you had a good birthday!

Great job team! We may have lost one more person (bye Jenbug  ), but there are still 8 of us  ! We can do it. I have promised to get off my butt this week. No more SNOOZE button. :grumble: I was almost done with my C25K app, but since I've been neglecting my running, decided to start back up at week 5. Hopefully I can keep it going long enough to complete week 8 and run my first 5k in 20 years. (Geez...has it really been 20 years? Where did the time go?) :noway:

I tried the zombie app...well I think may have downloaded a knock off version that was free, but it seems boring and I had to look at my phone the whole time, which is distracting if you are running. I don't like things in my hands while running and tend to use a running belt I made. Is there an audio feature to what you are doing or do you have to watch the screen to run away from your zombies?

My goal this week is to try and do a light jog each morning (it helps loosen me up for the day) and be more active around the house. A clean house/yard=a leaner me. YAY! :glasses:

Good luck on your swelling. Definitely see a doctor, watch your sodium intake and drink plenty of water. Hopefully you aren't prego! (rapid weight gain and swelling??? :blushing: )

Thank you for the Birthday wishes. Good job on "almost" completing the C25K app. I've been walking and I'm planning to try jogging this month. I have my first 5K in a month. If I need to walk the first one I'm ok with that, I'm hoping to jog the last mile at least...we'll see.

Good luck with getting your run in, in the am. I am trying to get up early to walk/jog but it's hard.
    Good Luck All!

Happy weigh in day! I weighed in at -0.9 this week, so that's good. I don't think I'm going to get my money back from dietbet, but we shall see. I have until Tuesday to weigh in for that one. No drinking this weekend. LOL

Went running for the second time this week. I think I did about 2 miles. It was such a beautiful morning too. Hope you guys have a good weekend!

Hey...I'm sorry for not getting my weigh in done in time yesterday. I tried to sneak in, but it was deleted. I've been on vacation, and lost track of time. I PROMISE to make up for it with a big loss upon my return!! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!

Hey everyone! I only lost 0.3 this week. My weight has plateaued for the past couple of weeks, I'm hoping it's because I have introduced press ups and squats into my regime and I'm gaining muscle :-( I think though it's possibly the fact I've been eating more carbs.

Rosie, the app definitely isn't free, and it's all done through audio. I click start mission and have it on my armband then it intermingles talking and instruction with your own music playlist. It has gps in it so I think it can estimate how fast you run, and if you're out running the zombies. I'm still being trained by the doctor at the moment, so not much zombie action, but I did earn a knife ;-) You can hear them growling in your earphones hilarious! Well done for all the running, I need to do some tonight!

Not to worry Kviens - you're in good company! :-) shame our plan was foiled!

Well done Icoza for the gym attendance - that's brilliant :-)

If anyone is interested I will be doing a hunger games challenge as well, it's fitness goal based and I hope it will kick me out of this plateau. If you're interested in joining me in District 11, do a search in the forums for "accepting new tributes" and volunteer as a tribute. You will then be sent a separate private group invite. It starts on 14 Aug for 12 weeks.

Two more days of vacation, then back to routine! I do MUCH better with routine! Although I've been enjoying my time in Charleston! Since I've been gone, I've signed up for a 5k color run with friends from work!! That should be fun...it's in November, so I have time to train!

Ilovetodance...I signed up for District 11! Love the theme and added challenges!! Excited!

Rosie...way to go on the running!!!!

Hope everyone has a great start to their week!!

Awe man! We lost another one. :(

Charleston sounds like fun! I am WAY over due for a vacation. My hubs and I are planning a trip to San Diego in September so at least I have something to look forward to. I can't wait to bring the baby (1.5 yr old) to the beach. I think he will love it. He already loves water, waves will blow his mind.

I'm actually enjoying running lately once I get warmed up, get the kinks out and get my rhythm. I will look into the zombie app but I'm such a stingy person when it comes to buying online apps. I'll have to go check out your challenge. Hey, every little bit helps right???

Time to get back to work. Stay classy ladies. Only 7 more weeks to go!! Slow and steady wind the race.

Hi everyone! Thought I'd check in. I lost 2.6lbs this week :drinker: which I'm really glad about as I thought I'd hit a plateau. I'm hoping that a week of eating rich food and cake has shook up my system a bit so it knows I'm not starving. I also find it curious that walking for long periods seems to be more effective in pound shedding than shorter high intensity workouts. I may need to get a fit bit after all ;-)

Back on the clean eating next week - how have you all been this week?

Awesome job Ilove2dance! Great loss woo-hoo! I had a decent loss myself at 1.3.

I haven't tried the clean eating plan as I can barely maintain and prepare the food in my fridge as it is! Good job for to you for being able to do it.

I think we are doing fantastic. Keep up the good work. Always remember that time will pass anyway, you might as well strive for a goal and be better off than where you are today.

    Hi All!!!

Hope everyone was able to get their weight checked in!!! I managed to get it done!! Thank GOODNESS!! I had a minimal loss...but a loss just the same. Looks like SEVERAL of you had great losses!! WAY TO GO!!!!! Hoping that now that I am home and getting ready to start back to work that routine will help me lose a bit more!!! I think I struggle because I don't eat 'enough'....does that make sense?? It's frustrating, but I need to get that under control!!! (Not to mention that I did have my share of 'junk' while visiting with my parents and sister!!!)

Off to ice after my nutty tennis extravaganza today!!! Hope this finds everyone well!!!

Well done everyone! Sad news is we lost warrior quince this week, and Mcw got a strike. If we are going away, may be worth sending a pm to a team member with a weight on it, even if it's just last weeks weight so we can post it on their behalf? Worth a try if you suddenly dont have wifi access!

As far as I could see, we all lost this week - Yey! Interesting that there were only 53 weights posted this week - group has halved!

I've ate junk all week, so looking forward to getting back to a routine next week!

Kviens - makes total sense, it may be worth trying to get your protein allowance for your exercise levels even if it isn't your calories. Maybe try protein bars, supplements or shakes. Will help your body repair through the tennis season and build lean muscle. I read somewhere that protein is one of the things the body can't generate itself?

Ilovetodance - Thanks for the tip!! I will definitely look at my logging/diary to see where I should try to incorporate protein a bit more. I've been working on not eating as many processed foods, and trying to do more 'natural', but that is STILL a work in progress!!! Such a balance to find. I just want to see the scale move a bit more!! I obviously need to help it out though!!!

BUMMER that we lost another teammate. I will say that it's DEFINITELY a good thing to message someone!! Trudywc2 was able to help me out one week when I couldn't access from my phone. SAVED me doing that, but then I totally didn't get it together the following week. Let's try to HANG IN THERE!!! We are almost half way through!!!

Great job on EVERYONE'S losses!!! Keep it up!!!

RosieRaz....It's tough to eat clean....I am sometimes SUPER good at it, and others I just get into a rut. I try to plan for the week, but I've cut my grocery shopping down to every two weeks, and I need to figure out a better way to prep! Charleston is ALWAYS a blast!! Love it there!! I do love San Diego too!!! That trip is DEFINITELY something great to look forward to!! My hubby and I are hoping on planning a trip to Dallas in October...still contemplating!! (I actually need to check on tickets this weekend!!)

Hope everyone has a GREAT week!! We are one month in and almost 1/2 way through!! Keep up the great work!!!

I peak at the scale every morning, I know your not supposed to but it's hard to resist. Hopefully I will have another loss this week as well.

I look for the update everyday to see if the results are in, I get bummed as well when I don't see them. Last week she didn't post them until mid week, so hopefully we will see them soon.

    Good Luck Everyone!

Hi All! I hope everyone is feeling good this week so far.

I've been checking for the results from last week each day as well and am kinda bummed. I feel like we did a REALLY awesome job last week (even though we lost someone).

    Hope we see them soon!

LOL - I've totally been checking for the results too. It's only Tuesday and I'm sure it's hard maintaining all the info each week. I'm sure life happens etc etc. But you're right! I do feel like we've done really good this week.

Good job on getting a jump on this week! It's always good when you don't see a gain after the weekend, or at least a gain that only lasts a day. Hopefully we will rock it two weeks in a row!

I weigh myself everyday and use an app which maps out a trend line. I find this more motivational then hinging all my hopes on one figure each week. As long as the direction is pointing downwards, I know I'm doing ok. Particularly gets me through TOM!

Our moderator seems fine, she has been posting on the forums!

HA!! I'm glad I'm not the ONLY slightly obsessive one!!!

I'm definitely positive that there is soooo much to put in to getting all of the numbers out there..especially if you are doing it on your own. Hopefully we will kick some pounds again this week!!! Stay strong!!!

I weigh daily as well. For multiple reasons:

1.) It keeps me motivated day in and out. Keeps me focused on the task at hand. (Even though, yes, I know that the scale is not the only indicator or success, but it is the most easily measured...)
2.) I find the fluctuations interesting. As someone who has water retention issues, its not de-motivating at all for me to see a bump (or 3) because I know that I'm staying within (mostly..) my calorie goal and so there's no way I'm actually gaining weight.
3.) Because people say you shouldn't and I don't like being told what to do.

Has anyone messaged the mod? I hope she didn't give up on us.

Happy weigh in day, all! I'm pretty happy with my weigh in. 1.6 .. I think. I've only been to the gym once this week though. I'm super slacking. But I did go on a walk one day and last night I tried Stronglifts 5x5 on my fiances mini gym equipment. (it's like a 12 lbs bar, some plates and a tiny bench. it'll work til I can lift 45 + and get comfortable enough to do it in the gym)

    Have a great weekend everyone!
