I had every intention of riding this weekend, but alas...thunder storms and rain showers. Our precip has been very sporadic this last year, and so I'm thankful for any that we do get, because it is dry! I had a nice walk with the dogs between showers, and despite my strained ankle from softball.
Bumping my miles down this month; 150 miles please. Welcome all!

I'm tracking my workout miles with a Garmin HRM. For non-workout daily activity and stuff like strength training I use a Vivofit.
I've been using a fitbit for the last couple of years (and it's still in my pocket), however there are some things I like better about the Vivofit: The mileage is more accurate, it's waterproof, it connects to a HR strap and uploads to Garmin Connect . GC in turn links to mfp which results to excellent calorie tracking. On the down side you can't see it in the dark, it doesn't have a timer and doesn't measure elevation gain but these aren't too important to me.
Aug 1: 8.5 km Run/Strength training
Aug 2: 5.3 km. Basketball + walk
Aug 3: 12.2 km. Long walk

8/3 - 8.5 mile run

Today I was able to get my long run in, so glad in was in the lower 80's in Las Vegas,
I was just informed I made a mistake in MY LAST two post, my goal SHOULD be 220 NOT 210! Thanks Dave for pointing that out!!!!!!

Well, I skipped my long run (6 miles) this weekend for a couple reasons: 1) I was just too busy; 2) it's SOOOO hot here; and 3) if I had done my run yesterday morning as planned, I wouldn't have had the energy to help my sister/brother-in-law patch holes in the walls of their new home, and paint, etc. for over 8 hours... and today... well, it just wasn't in the cards.
I did a lot of physical activity this weekend, but only logged 1.5 miles, which was a short hike to spy on the house we're buying to see if the current tenants are moving out, as they're supposed to be doing (and there are hiking trails that run behind the house) and then walking to/from my car and the stadium to watch my team play - and, we won!! hoooray. GO THORNS. (professional women's soccer - all the cool kids are into it. bahahaha - I'm such a dork, but I love it. LOVE IT).

Sunday I talked the daughter and hubby into walking to the restuarant they wanted to try. Hopefully the walk made up for the cobbler I just had to have. added 7.25 miles
