Well another week has passed. It looks like some of our group has been missing in action for a while now and I may have to do a little culling of the chart. If you are interested, Apolloag, the original founder of Men on a Mission has started up a new thread. If you are interested, I'll send you an invitation to join. I don't think I'll be participating in that one but haven't 100% decided yet.
Todd is again this weeks biggest loser and he has reached his first goal of 100 pounds. I am at a loss to say how proud I am to be able to see my friend acheive this. Best of luck on getting to the next goal, I'm sure you will hit that one ahead of schedule too.
Here is this week's chart.

Hey Gentlemen,
I celebrated hitting my intermediate goal last weekend. Cost me a couple of lbs, but it was worth it. (Itialian Trio, Bacon pancakes, All meat grinder...mmmmm).
I have adjusted my goal weight down 10 lbs. Decided that for my 25th wedding anniversary, I should weigh what I did when I got married. (195 lbs). Then I'll settle in around 200 as my weight to maintain.
I need an average loss of 15 lbs per month to attain my goal.
Here are my numbers for the report.
SW -381
GW - 190 (Adjusted down from 200)
LW - 280.5
CW - 276.5

Hi Tim Boss :glasses: ,
Good Morning,
This week was excellent as I continued my Work Outs, and one Good News is I bought Digital Weighing Scale, so, I will start reporting all small changes from now on.

Gooood morning fellow Men! Today is, I believe, my 461st consecutive day on MFP. I usually delete the little auto pop up that comes every 5 days.
Today is also the start of a new program I am going to try. I've done pretty good to this point but I have been stagnant for at least the last 8 months or so. So, time for something different.
My best friend, Toddhbrown, has lost over 100 pounds in the last 3 months. I know some of you will think this is waaay too much to lose that fast and at one time, I would have been right there with you. But, watching Todd's progress and how he looks and feels now has made me rethink a few things.
First off, this is no miracle drug or anything like that. Just nutrition and exercise. The only thing is, is that you are assisted on the nutrition side of things. Kinda like Jenny or Nutrisystem taken to the next level.
Another thing about Todd, look up "Intensity" in the dictionary and you will see his picture. His results are nowhere near typical. If I can do half as well as he has, I will be very happy.
For those of you interested, it's called Medifast. Here is a link to their site http://www.medifast1.com/index.jsp
Wish me luck.
ps, Todd- I hope you don't mind the constant plugs, but I just can't say enough how impressed I am. Kudos.0 -

Good job all. LWW 305 CW 304 down 1lb. Fighting this 2 lb yo-yo, but starting to not worry about it as the body is changing. Can put on my 42 inch jeans now and making my 44's my outside chore pants till they disintergrate or I get into 40's. Donated all my 4XL shirts and shorts. Have a great week!0

Nice job this week everyone. Seems we are having more and more MIA's. If any of you are MFP friends with our wayward Mission brothers, please send them a little poke reminding them to either send in an update or be voted off the island.
Todd is again the top dog but we'll see what next week brings. Here you go guys.

Yesterday I was 305, tonight 301.6 I should have waited to weigh in. I'm gonna have a big number next week.0

I am still here Tim. Family came in for the holiday and disrupted the routine. I will catch it at my regular check in later this week.0

Sorry for not checking in for a couple weeks. I keep gaining and re-losing the same 2-3 lbs every 2-3 days. Gettin' on my nerves, haven't had any recordable loss in about 3 weeks.
TL;DR ... No change... AGAIN! :grumble:0 -
Checking in:
LWW: 194.0
CW: 191.2
Loss: 2.80 -
LWW - 244 lbs
CWW - 246 lbs
Not quite sure what to attribute the gain to. I will need to monitor things more closely. Hope you guys had a great week. Let's keep moving this forward.0 -
Hi all--checking in.
As expected, I did not touch MFP last week and I gained some weight over my vacation.
LWW 181.4 lbs
CWW 184.6 lbs
Gain 3.2 lbs
Truth is, I was at about 183 lbs before I left for my vacation so the gain wasn't huge. Hope to be down again next week...
Best,
Cary0 -
Hi Every One,

LW: 76.4 kg
CW: 77.1 kg
Gain: 1.1 lbs
Please guide me as Whic time of the Day I should check weight (As of now I check Weekly thrice Early Morning after Shower with only Shorts...:smooched: )
Best of Luck to all our Friends... :flowerforyou:0 -
I'm checking in but not checking in this week. I'll explain.
The weight has been fluctuating, which isn't unusual by itself, as it usually happens just before a significant loss. However, over Easter I had what I will call a "sodium incident." Even though we had low sodium ham for dinner (and subsequently, leftovers the next couple days), it apparently had a huge impact on me. How huge? Freakin' huge!
I noticed by last Wednesday evening that my calves and feet were abnormally swollen. I figured I was going to be up a few pounds with extra fluid. To my shock, I was up damn near 20 lbs! A little math told me in a matter of just a few days I had retained over TWO GALLONS of excess liquid (one gallon of water weighs over 9 lbs!) I immediately started flushing my system, loaded up on potassium to help my kidneys process more efficiently, and started drinking coffee and green tea for diuresis.
The good news: since Wednesday (11 April) to this morning, I've eliminated over 14 lbs of that excess weight! However, since I'm still transitioning, I'm withholding an official weigh-in this week, as it's literally changing every day (and in fact, is currently changing throughout the day.) Also on the positive side, actual body measurements are down despite the gain. So the net result of all this is I should be heading toward a decent loss soon.
Stay tuned next week! Thanks for your indulgence while I explained all this.0 -

CW: 228.2 (04/16/12)

Woohoo, that's 3 straight weeks with a loss!! :drinker:
Go figure, I finally listened to those people on the board that keep saying to up your calorie intake if you plateau and I started losing again after struggling with the same 5 pounds for like 4 months… I also cut way down on my cardio and started strength training more so I’m building muscle mass and still burning fat. :bigsmile:0 -
Hey Gentlemen,
I had another good week, but in full disclosure, I had to push off my weigh in until today. It's been 10 days since my last weigh-in.

I think that is entirely up to you. I personally am at my lightest in the morning and that is the weight I use. However, sometimes I have a huge workout or for whatever reason, I am lighter in the evening on occassion. This may just be water loss or who knows what. I think you should just try and be consistent with whatever time you choose.0 -

Wow, that is something else. I couldn't imagine that much water weight. Take care of yourself and keep us posted. No worries, I'll save your spot on the chart.0 -
Woo Hoo, looks like we are moving on to the next 20 pages of this thread. Thanks for keeping it going everyone.
Todd is still leading the charge with a huge 8 pound loss. He disclosed that this was a long week for him but that's ok by me. Maybe next week one of us can knock him from the top spot.
This was the biggest weekly loss I've had in quite a long time and I'm certain its due to the new diet I'm on. This is just pushing me to step it up a bit more and post some bigger numbers next week.
Also, if any of you have a friend you think might benifit from this group, feel free to send them an invite and have them introduce themselves and I'll get them included.
For those that gained a bit this week, use that knowledge to make next week a killer week. Thanks guys.

Measurements are dropping and bf % is down to 28.72 from 29.47 %. In the last month I have gained 1.5. lbs of muscle. I will take those results every month. Maybe not fast, but is the right direction.0
