Curious why you put road bars on a tri bike?

Cuz I'm too fat to ride in the "aero" position.

    My Fuel 90 Single Speed

    @ Krue1971

Are you using a singleator? how is it riding a suspension bike single speed?

Right now it has a nashbar tensioner but I originally used an old derailler with the bottom piece almost horizontal. Love it more single speed than I ever did geared. I run a 32 / 17 combo and have yet to have any chain slippage. I ride it way more than the ex9.

As I scrolled down, I SOOOO wanted those tyres to be a pair of period correct Onza White Porcupines...

It's made a nice clean looking singlespeed tbh - and I'm glad you've kept the flexstem in place :-)

Were you just lucky with the chain tension - magic ratio and/or a half link - or was it hours of juggling rings and sprockets ?

I've posted these elsewhere, but here goes for this group:
These images are too big for MFP's div or whatever so right click and open in new tab

1997 Cannondale CAD2 -- My everyday rider. Accidental eBay purchase. Originally spec'd with RSX 3x7 sp. Built up with a mismash of lower end Shimano 2x8 (2300 shifters, RX100 RD, Tiagra RD, FC-R600 crank) and lots of Ritchey stuff.

1987 Cannondale SR500 - Bought as a replacement for the (soon to be seen later) SR300 I lent to my ex. Upgraded the original 1050 Shimano 105 to 1055 Shimano 105 STI-- except for the hubs, which are Shimano 600 (6400). I sold this last Sunday. But it still counts, right?

1986 Cannondale SRxxx (probably SR300) -- Not the best picture in the world. This was the third bike I'd ever owned. Traded my 1988 Centurion Sport DLX to one of my roommates in 1995. It's was junk when I acquired it. Crashed hard in 1997. Rebuilt but wheels fell apart. Couldn't afford to replace. Sat in storage and outside for the next 14 years until I finally decided to do something about it. 14 months later:

1996 Cannondale R800 -- Always wanted a 2.8 frame. Now I have one. Built up with SRAM Rival that was supposed to go on the 1986 SRxxx, but you put the nicer stuff on the nicer frame.

The flexstem just suits the colour scheme doesn't it!
i did have to change the rear sprocket down 1 tooth from my original choice but that was all, so glad it worked out without having to resort to a tensioner :-)

Just added to the stable, it was cheaper to buy this than repair my old Marin full-suss :( - hoping to cane this to death over the winter as I get myself and my lads into mountain biking

See profile. Trek 3900 with an iBert child seat mounted to the stem. Can't wait for some money so I can upgrade, I'd love a road bike and a MTB with disc brakes.

    Bike porn rules.
