I love this bike and it is my workhorse, I commute, train and use this bike for recreation. For training, I have a set of slick wheels and all the trailgator gear is removed to lower the weigh. I keep the two cameras on at all times whilst out on the bike, never know when someone wants to share my space.

Here is the workhorse connected to my sons bike.

So lovely - I love your attention to detail, I'm with you on the slight OCD tendencies, you don't want anything to not look right or it would scream at you every time you saw it or rode it!! When you planning to give it its inaugural ride?

I'd love to say It'll be out for the start of the Classics Challenge, but with the forecast there's no way i'll be risking it. It's really down to the weather - plus of course I've got a couple of rides worth of faffing around getting the handlebars exactly right before I cut down the steerer.

I wish I only had SLIGHT OCD tendencies... lets just put it this way - i've spotted something on the photo's you quoted, and I'm going to HAVE to go to the bikecave right now, and tweak something that's not quite right

(as an indication of how obsessive I am... if you look on the shot of the handlebars, there's a very small sliver of white handlebar tape peeping out under the black finishing wrap on the 'bars. The only way you'd see it is if the bik was running over you, but that's exactly what this picture shows... so - i've just touched it in with a black permanent marker. :mad-as-a--fish:

 its white handlebar tape, in the UK, that's probably good for what - 3 - maybe 4 rides before its filthy and needing replacing ?? I've got another pack of tape on standby - this time the Fizik microtex stuff that cleans up nicely with a couple of "babywipes"

I just installed some cheap cork-tape for the first setup, just in case I had to scrap it and move the brakes/cables around once I actually get to ride the bike on the road.

2006 Trek 3900 MTB. Replaced the saddle, added a cheap speedo, switched the rear tire to a slick so it's not as loud on the indoor trainer. iBert child seat attaches to the handlebar stem so the kid steers with the bike. Great for control, the kid loved it.

Ready for a roadie, though, looking to start doing triathlons and this rig is slow.

Its called a trailgator and connects on the main bikes seat post then onto a special connector to the front of my sons bike. It keeps the front wheel of the ground so my son cant turn the handlebars and send me flying. Its a great device and have used it for nearly a year and the only thing I have to remember is not to lean too much into corners or my son takes a tumble. You can get trailgators through Amazon, eBay and some bike shops here. Amazon is the cheapest unless eBay has a second-hand one for sale.

I like seeing all the bikes...there all so pretty!

Here's my bike from this mornings ride. Originally purchased as a 2007 Gary Fisher HI FI and slowly transformed over the years to a Trek frame with different upgraded components. It's not the fastest, nor the lightest, but I  my bike!

First time posting a pic in a thread...hope it works!

I think what I really love about this thread is the range of bikes that are posted on here - from basic down-to-earth hack bikes through to full suspension off-roaders and electronic shifting carbon dream-machines, we've covered them all... and the one common factor in all cases is that we're all so proud of our bikes, we can't wait to show them off to the world.
