I just read this whole thread and all I can say is....

    My people!!!!
    QFT!
I guess I'm a geek today because I'm about to play Guild Wars 2 with my fiance, then watch the episode we missed of Castle, and in between talk about the choice of playing D&D this weekend or Vampire the Masquerade.....
Haven't bought GW2 yet. My wife & I are still playing throught Prophecies!
Our joint gaming has gone down in frequency since 2nd son was born, but I remember playing Masquerade in High School, when it first came out! Before the boys were born, My wife ran a game of Vampire the Requiem where I played a 5' tall dominatrix. That was interesting. Probably about the only game I've played in years where my character didn't end up with a Big Damn Hero complex. Usually ends up with them sacrificing themselves for a noble cause, but this time the game concluded with my character bedding the Prince of the city ;)

I started rping by Larping w/ VtM. I played a Torry who was the Primagen's(he became the Prince later)daughter. She married a Malkie. It was so much fun! went on to do Werewolf & Mage, too. Actually I met my hubby there. lol. turns out that we had met earlier in the year through my roommate.

My youngest just came in from letting the dog out in the yard and informed us he saw flashing lights in the sky and it must be the TARDIS. He also gave his doctor the Vulcan salute when he came into the exam room this morning. Turns out the doc is a fan, too, and solemnly returned the greeting with "Live long and prosper."

The apple didn't fall far from this tree!

I love it. It would not put it past either of my daughters to say they saw a tardis in the sky. My kids make Dr Who comments in public and people just look at them blankly. There was a girl at their school wearing a Dr who tshirt with I heart heart DW. DD and I both screamed Dr Who.

When I was lifting heavy things up and putting them back down at my YMCA today, this guy in his early to mid 20's came in wearing a Bane like mask and began working out. It took all my willpower inside me to resist going up to him, tapping him on the shoulder, and ask him "Excuse me, do I have your permission to lift?"

This one's gonna be weird. There's a thread in regards to a wife's husband watching porn on the computer and downloading a virus...who happens to also be a pastor of a church. Instead of going over the moral implications and hypocicies of this, my mind automatically jumped to how to get the particular virus off her computer since it's been on mine before......

Today I'm a nerd because I joined this group and feel suddenly at home :) and because I was taking my Christmas Vader bobble head off my desk at work and felt my heart literally sink. A talking Spock replaced him but still....
  • Because these were the Christmas cookies my brother and I made:

PS. I made this snowman cookie in honor of the Doctor Who Christmas Special and snacked on it while I was watching. Yum.

Today while listening to the What You Missed in History Podcast they were talking about Versailles and I automatically flashed to "The Girl in The Fireplace" and I had a little moment of silence for Reinette and The Doctor.

My collugues son was visiting the office and he asked "does a child sit at this desk?" in reference to the Dr Who minature, Pacman heat reaction mug and the drawings and posters or Joker, firefly Dr Horrible etc around the desk divider.

While in my Zumba class today, there was this girl I kept glancing at. I tried to not stare, but it was hard at times. The reason, while she was a cute brunette, was the sweats she was wearing, reminded me of this guy's pants.

I agree and it is going to be so much fun watching the 4 boys (ages 15-19) seeing most of Doctors 1-7 for the first time!

Today is my last day at work until November 23rd. As of Tomorrow morning, I will be on a flight to OKC to stay with my friends of 18 years. I met them all ( 2 seperate households plus a couple more flying in to visit ) and we've been a regular D&D group since then.

Our guild is the Dream Warriors and we play D&D, MMORPG's, and a regular NWN Campaign that we use to help us all stay in touch. I will be there from Saturday the 10th all the way through Tuesday the 20th...and there will be *at least* five days in there that will consist of 12 hours of D&D.

My God...it will be glorious. :drinker:

That's pretty cool.. Nothing like table top RPGs. :)

Sure computers can make it a bit better but nothing gives you that same feeling of sitting around a table being soical and rolling dice. :)
