I am 25 weeks right now and started at 174 lbs. I'm up 9 lbs to 183 lbs and haven't been doing the best in the eating category. So I'm not quite sure why I haven't gained more. Due to my high blood pressure I'm going to be cutting my exercise back to cardio Mon/Wed/Fri and weight lifting Tue/Thu. I'm shooting to not gain more than 20 lbs this pregnancy due to the fact that I started 30 lbs overweight!0

13 weeks today and down 2.6 kg or nearly 6 pounds.
I saw my obstetrician this week and she is happy with this, and does not want me to put on much weight at all during pregnancy.0 -

My weight gain has started to pick up, gaining about 2 oz a day now. Only 5 weeks left. I predict I will be about 135 lb at time of delivery, but who knows maybe I will have massive fluid gains or something in the last few weeks. I can see that happening considering I am becoming much more sedentary in these final weeks. Moving is just tiring and uncomfortable.0 -

Marie, you must be due just a couple of weeks before me! I am due in the first week of June.
I am just over 14 weeks now. I gained half a pound this week (busy week with lots of Christmas lunches and parties) but I am still below my starting weight.
In my previous three pregnancies I have always gained 3-5 kg by this point and started gaining quite steadily and rapidly from here on. I am hoping to curb this this time! My mentality has changed as before I was told to aim to gain weight, whereas having been told to maintain or gain little now I am keeping a closer eye on what I eat.0 -
Yay for late Spring/early Summer babies (May 6th but they'll probably show up mid-May)! Good luck with your goal!0

Great looking bump, Bananas! Not long to go now!
Marie, I was originally due 6th June but they moved it to the 4th when I had my scan. I have always gone 11-12 days over though so I am expecting it to be mid-month too.
I am 15 weeks today and have lost that half pound I put on last week - I think I must have just been retaining water or something. So I am still 2.4kg down from my start weight.0 -

The closer I get the more impatient I get! It's getting very hard with all the holiday parties and festivities, shopping, decorating, cooking and entertaining. All I want to do is wear my giant pj's, robe and slippers, sit in my reclining chair and read my novels. I never thought I would ever say this but I want someone else to do the cooking and I have lost my desire to work out. I'm still getting myself to do something 4-5 days a week though because I realize in the first few weeks after baby is born I won't be able to do anything.0 -
Great job, everyone! Especially with the holidays!
fernt21 - totally understandable, especially now! And I was able to start walking the day I got home from the hospital with my first (although it was at a pretty slow pace), so you may be able to do something before getting cleared to do the real exercise again.0 -
Fernt - maybe your body is telling you to charge your batteries and get ready??? I have always lost weight quickly after having a baby despite not doing any exercise as between breastfeeding and long walks with the baby it just fell off. Maybe not the same exercise fix that you want, but your priorities definitely change with a newborn0
