Sometimes our bodies do what they're gonna do. I saw pics of myself from early December and went what has happened to my thighs and I thought I would love to look like that again and at the time I just wanted to drop 10 pounds. I feel like my babies are putting on weight but perhaps even though I am logging and walking still my legs wouldn't get thicker and nay it just doesn't seem to be so. I am going to be looking into a good stroller for twins so I can get my game on when these two arrive in early August.2

Being plus sized - even if physically fit and healthy makes pregnancy hard. Not because of anything physical for me it's all about the conceptions held by "medical professionals" judging me (wrongly at that). I've been forced to attend high risk clinics, subject to extra GTT tests because they were adamant my results were wrong at 16 weeks and 22 weeks (I'm refusing further tests) and lectured about how terrible I am that at 24 weeks I've gained a total of 1.8kg the whole pregnancy. I'm only 5"2' and my "normal" sport was Crossfit. According to my BMI though I'm obese. I'm sure I'd be treated better if I drank alcohol and smoked a pack a day. At 19 weeks pregnant I had a major car accident. Cracked sternum, collar bone, major abdominal bruising and torn all ligaments in my right ankle. That was five weeks ago - I can barely walk to the bathroom (came out of moon boot three days ago but still it's braced) let alone around the block. The range of movement I have is extremely limited and I still have pain. Desperate to get back to CrossFit but so far standing is a challenge. Diet is so controlled - yet I'm judged over 1.8kg. So over weigh ins, judgement and the attitude that someone who doesn't "look" the part or has a BMI over 32 Cnr possibly have a healthy lifestyle.0

Have you looked into other doctors in your area, maybe you need to change to someone who works better for you.
My OB gave me guidelines for weight gain at my first appointment, but there has been no weight gain shamming along the way. I can definitely see why you are frustrated!2 -

Had a bit of a scare on Monday. The baby hardly kicked for 2.5 hours (only 3 times) so I almost called the midwife. However, ate an apple and drank juice and then the baby started kicking. Also had an unrelated appointment with my GP so she checked the heartbeat for me while I was there. The experience freaked me out and suddenly, I'm feeling totally fine with the thought of a C-section if I need it!
@tmcollier580 omg that accident sounds horrible!!! Are you recovering alright? Is your baby okay? That's so scary. I hope you have lots of support at home to help you rest and heal as quickly as possible!!!1 -
Ok, logging this for the first time...here we go.
Height: 5' 11"
Age: 34
First Pregnancy
Goal to Gain: 25-30lb
Starting weight: 169 lb
Week 14: 05/04: 172.8 (+3.8, +3.8)
Week 15: 05/11: 176.0 (+3.2, +7)
So...should I be concerned that I've already gained 7 lbs, 3.2 in just the last week?? It seems like a lot. This is my first pregnancy and I am not sure what to expect. Truth be told, I haven't been working out. I've been so fatigued that it just hasn't happened. But I didn't think I was eating that poorly/too much. Going to try to log my food better this week so I can make sure I've consuming healthy amounts. Just want to make sure I am getting the right nutrients for peanut, and not more than either of us needs.
BTW I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir, but pregnancy brain is real. Before posting this I just looked over what I typed and saw I had put my age as "32." huh? I'm 34.1 -

Nah I wouldn't worry. Lots of women retain water instantly, that's probably all it is. You either get it now or later haha.0 -

For me it happens periodically and randomly. But it will depend on your body. If it seems like it's too much, it can be something you can talk to your doctor about. Also it could be increased blood volume too.0 -
Time for my weekly check-in.
This is my first pregnancy, and I am shooting for a 25-30 lb. weight gain.

I'm getting close to the third trimester, and I hope I can just keep chugging along. I have my GD test on Thursday, and I'm pretty nervous about screwing it up. My doctor said just to eat normally but not to go overboard with a bunch of stuff I don't normally have. Well, of course my work decided to throw me a "surprise" baby shower on Wednesday night. I'll probably have something small there and wrap up the rest of my plate for after the test just to be on the safe side. I just hope no one gets offended!1 -

It happens randomly to me too. But definitely if I have gone over my sodium target. It helps me to flush it out if I up my water intake a lot and add lemon essential oil or lemon juice.0 -
Height: 5'1.5"
SW- 118 ( I gained weight from the winter and being sad about the miscarriage).
Week12: 122
Week 16: 120 (net gain 2 pounds).
Just went to ob a couple of hours ago. My blood pressure is super low again and I have to go to hematologist because of my anemia (born with it because my mom was severely anemic especially when pregnant with us and had blood transfusions after every delivery). and I am a carrier for both alpha and beta thalassemia.
