Just completed the Warrior Dash in Miami,FL on 11/10/12 and had a blast. I know it is a 5k, but it is my favorite race to do overall.

I was there too! It was my first Warrior Dash and I didn't expect to have that much fun.

This weekend I'll be doing the Spartan Sprint Fenway edition. I'm totally psyched for it! Fenway Park is turning 100 this year, and what better way to commemorate that than to kill it all beast mode like on some obstacles.

2013 Race Schedule looks like this so far:

• 5/11 Tough Mudder (though my sister is getting married this day, so I think I'll have to bail
• 7/15 Run For Your Lives
• 8/10 Spartan Race
• 8/17 Hopefully reschedule Tough Mudder from May, dates not nailed down yet
• 9/7 Hero Rush
• 10/20 Baystate Marathon

I'm sure I'll do a bunch more, those are just the ones I've signed up for already.

Oh, not happy about the venue move for Run For Your Lives. Last year it was at the Amesbury Sports Park, minutes from home. Race promoters said at the time that it would be there again for 2013. I signed up when they released it, but now the venue has moved THREE hours away. Ugh. Logistically this makes it so much harder with kids and pets. Dammit.

Just completed my first of the year! I made it through despite still recovering from my meniscectomy and a sprained ankle. Here's the tentative schedule for the year:

Ran the 4.9 mile spartan sprint in Montana last week. Toughest and greatest race ever.

Organizers have said it was the toughest sprint they've created. With all the climbing of mountainsides, would be tough to beat. Up next is my first 10K next month.

I just did the Mud Dog Mud Run April 27th in Maryland.

September 21 is the Diva Dash in MD, then November 2nd I'm doing the Mud Dog Zombie Edition run...also Md.

Next year I would like to do the Mud Dog again but my 11 year old is thinking about running it, the MS Muckfest which is a little longer, and maybe the Rugged Maniac if they do a race late in the year. I'm also loosely considering the Tough Mudder at some point though I may not feel ready for that until 2015.
