Let's continue on MFP's. I have about a dozen more days of squats to do. After that, I will choose another strength building exercise for me. I do so appreciate you joining me on this challenge. Hopefully some newcomers will join us. Yea team!

Newcomers: The title of our group is 100 Squats for 100 Days Challenge, however, we are flexible. If you have a particular strength building exercise that you would prefer, you are welcome to join with us. We post daily, as that is the best accountability.

Hi all. I am ready to join the challenge again. I would like to do 100 crunches/situps/backlifts in 100 days. I am working on strenghthening my core. I have some beautiful sculptured muscles in my thighs after completing the l00 squats in 100 days challenge and going to spinning class. Who knew I could grow muscles? I like them! Who knew I would like to exercise? Then again who knew I would begin to crave vegetables. My life has changed a lot doing my first year on MFP. I look forward to giving and receiving support!

Hi Everyone!. Happy July! Over 100 degrees in Hotlanta!

Day one of the sit up challenge. I did a "crunch" machine at the gym and put 20 pounds of weight on. Got 100 in. Really broke a sweat on that machine. Then got on another machine and did 50 back lifts. I had to stretch for 10 minutes after those sets.

Thanks for the welcome back messages. I finally figured out how to find the thread this time and check in.

I don't think I've told you, but I have a 4 mile run on the 4th! Also, I've taken my dog running with me a few times now. She loves it! And she never pulls when we run.

    Lisadlocks - good start!

I had a long day and had to travel, and thought I wasn't going to be able to get in my exercise. However, I did!

lisadlocks - 150 crunches is amazing! You have a strong core and great endurance.

clover5 - You are always doing such an amazing job.

barbiecat - Wow, you are using ankle weights. I have ankle weights, but they are so bulky that I rarely use them.

    07/03/2012 - 300 squats and lunges

Oh my goodness. I started the fourth and last week of Ripped in 30 and the second week of Killer Buns and Thighs, and boy were they both killer. At one point I was just like, "I cannot do this, and I am going to quit. However, Jillian was like "Don't give up, finish!" Somehow I got through it yesterday and today and plan on finishing.

 Muff Ruff, I use ankle weights on several of the exercises I do as part of my weight training so I just leave them on and do some poses before I take them off.....if I didn't use the ankle weights I'd have to do a hundred of the various exercises but with the 10 or 13 pound ankle weights, I get a good workout from 2 sets of 10-15 reps
your killer workouts sound amazing.....congrats to you for staying with them and finishing

 I love the feeling of being totally exhausted after a good workout

Late night at the gym. Went to evening spin class. New teacher and I could NOT keep up! So much sweat coming from a southern gal who was taught it was not ladylike to sweat!. Oh mah! I do declare. My endurance is improving and I am getting stronger.

Got my sit ups in no weights. My core is sore. 200 crunches. 50 very slow back lifts. I could feel every muscle move.

 MuffRuff. Great Job. I could hear Jillien shouting you can do it. I must have heard her in spin class. You CAN do killer buns and thighs. Those lunges and squats prepared you. You are doing it!

    Clover the countdown begins.....10

 barbie cat, I will try a yoga class in the morning. I need to stretch these tight sore mucsles.

Happy fouth everyone. The gym tired me out. Time for shower and SLEEP!

    Day 91 - 100

Happy 4th pals! My race is done. The official times have not been posted online yet, but I saw 42.15 when I ran through the finish. I sprinted the last 50 yards or so again. I don't know why I do that exactly. Guess it just feels exhilarating to pump up at the end. I'm not sure if the 15 is seconds or 100ths. Eigher way my time is under 11 minute miles, and that's what I was hoping for.

I did a JM workout last week, and she is tough. One of my British pals swares that JM tried to kill her! The dvd I have now is from the library, and I only did level 1. I'll try it again soon.

Barbie, my son saw my older pair of ankle weights in the family room yesterday, and put them on to walk around the house yesterday. Guess the family gets a little of the fitness mindset just by association. Hope so anyway.

    Good Evening Everyone

    200 crunches, 100 back extentions.

Went to evening spinning class. Hot and sweaty one hour ride. Great music! Burning off two hot dogs, one hamburger, baked beans and potato salad. Good thing I went to boot camp before the bar be que.

Also got in 10 minutes of good stretching. My core is sore from all the variations of crunches and back lifts. I love this challenge. Time for a hot bath.
