    48 years old...feel like I'm still in my 30s...metabolism definitely 40-ish.

    Just back to MFP and hoping it will motivate me to be more active, bring down my weight and tone my middle. My clothes don't fit.

    I watched the documentary "Fed Up" and learned some interesting things about the sugar and dairy lobbies. It was motivating. One comment referred to sugar as addictive as heroine. I'm learning to shift my perspective to see other things as treats and processed foods as literally sickening. So, no more sugar added anything, more meal planning, more frequent visits to the grocer and more whole foods. It's a challenging shift for someone who used to eat brownies for supper but I needed a healthful wake up call. I filled two large garbage bags with the things I tossed out of my pantry and fridge.

    HW: 148
    LW: as an adult? About 125
    I'm sturdy, pretty jacked legs - as long as my belly is flat I'm generally happy, but I'd like to get fat everywhere down a bit (without eliminating the minimal boobs I have!)

    Fitness twins? I want more friends to increase accountability (especially with actually working out as much as I say I will) and motivation!

    goal: is not weight oriented. I just want back into the jeans that I wore when I felt the best - about a small 6, or large 4.

    I'm 42 years old and would love to drop a pound a week. I jog 5 times a week and lift weights twice a week. I'm eating around 1650 calories.

    30 years old
    5' 8.5"
    Highest weight: 198
    Lightest weight: 153 I think
    Current weight: 175.3
    Goal weight: 165

    Once I reach my goal weight of 165, my goal will change to 155. 10lb increments seem to be less daunting to me. Keeping within the calorie range is not something I have a hard time with, it's motivation to work out. Even though I love the results of weight lifting, I'm having a hard time making it a priority.

    So, really, I'm looking for a workout buddy :)

    I will be 59 in 2 months. I have always watched my weight. When I was 45 I was 20 pounds over ideal weight even though I only ate when I was hungry. I lost that 20 pounds. I have pretty much kept my weight the same over the last 15 years. However I lost 6 pounds last spring because my clothes weren't fitting me the same. At my age I have lost muscle. It is a constant struggle to keep my weight down. I get picked on because I stay a healthy weight. I am 5"2' and 106 pounds. I don't show any ribs and I still have saddle bags.

    I actually gained 5 lbs over the course of the last year and I'm trying to healthfully get a handle on things with a three-year-old, full-time job, and grad school.

    Heaviest: 165 (Worked in a call centre and didn't work out)
    Current: 138-142ish depending on the day
    Lowest: as an adult, 135
    Goal: My hips are 3" smaller than they were when I weighed 165, so I'd like to keep them there! I'm also just trying to eat better and work out to get stronger.
