What are you pledging for fitness this week? What are you doing to get fit? How are you preparing for the weekend?

This next week is going to be a tough one since we're going away for 10 days starting tomorrow! We'll be staying with my parents for most of that, and my aim is to take their dog for an hour's walk at least three times while we're gone. Hopefully we'll be doing a lot of walking around while we're gone too, but I think that's an achievable goal for being on holidays!0

Unfortunately, this week I haven't been able to walk because of my injured ankle. The doctor told me to stay off of it for 1 week and take my meds. I can begin walking again Jan. 7th and I can't wait. In the meantime I'm doing upper body work with weights and some ab work.
Next week I plan to work out 5-6 days because I actually have missed it...I can't believe it myself0 -
My commitment: just MOVE...My cousin is mailing me her Zumba Wii so I will begin using that...Probably on Monday or Tuesday...whenever it arrives. Otherwise, there is the walking with Leslie Sansone, and Wii Fit Plus...Not to mention the 4 other exercise dvd's I just bought on amazon...BUT ultimately...just move.....0

I'm committing to do some sort of exercise at least 5 days a week. I walk to the local shop for my papers (steep hill to get there!), I swim once a week, have done so this morning-32 lengths which is half a mile. I have a reflex punch bag at home- just 5 min on that gets me puffing, trying to get to 15 min..might take me a while LOL! I want exercise to become a habit rather than a necessity!0

I'm going to continue dancing. I was amazed to find out I enjoy doing it. I think I may also pick walking / jogging back up, which I had done for awhile before dancing. Don't like it nearly as much, but it will be a change-up every now and then.0

My exercise goal at the moment is to just get back at it. I have the first leslie sansone video, did it on Wed and will do again today sometime, and yesterday I got on the stat bike as worked it as hard as I could for 15min. I had been good at walking in the fall but once the shorter days and colder weather came I sort of came to a standstill. Just two days of a bit of exercise and more water have me feeling much better already.
As for the weekend, well it's supposed to get a bit warmer here, so I may try out my new snowshoes.0 -
I would like to say I am going to do all these wonderful things, but I really need to start in slow so I don't get overwhelmed and tired. This weekend I hope to do some Wii Zumba with my daughter and next week I will be at the gym at least 2 days, hopefully also some short walks over lunch. My real goal is to focus on my diet because I can exercise a whole lot but I eat even more.0

I am starting Tracy Anderson's Metamorphosis program this week. I did Day 1 Wednesday night, and took yesterday as a rest day b/c I was sore! My goal is to do it Fri, Sat, and Sun before taking another rest day. I'm also trying to do Week 5 of C25k.0

I am planning to do as I do everyday. Take it a day at a time. I got up this morning and had my breakfast and coffee. I am planning on doing housework, and then hopefully walking at least a mile with my "Walk Away the Pounds" dvd. I know its not much, but its a start. I haven't been very active in a while, so I am taking small steps. Hope everyone has a successful weekend!!!0

I love Leslie Sansone! Her DVDs are a great way to get low-impact cardio in. It's great that you're starting small. You'll be doing miles in no time!0
