My Last 17

Ok here's the sitch: I have 7-9 lbs to ultimate goal weight. I don't know what magic there is in the 17dd but it works sooo well for my body, but as we all know a challenge to stock to. I don't care what the low- carb haters say, I always keep it off, no rebound at all. Then when I introduce more starches back in, boom instant plateau.
So here it is: I believe I can get rid of this last 7 lbs using cycle 1. But it is a real challenge to get through 17 days, particularly with Easter coming. I need to come here every day and check in obsessively to keep accountable. So this is my last 17 thread.
I am traveling sun-tues so I won't start until Wednesday, my last 17 days will run March 20 to April 5, and I will check in everyday.
My rules for myself are as follows:
30-60 minutes exercise per day
C1 menu, under 75g net carbs, over 100g protein
1200 net

Highest weight: 215 pregnant
Current weight: 144.4
Goal weight: 135

    So I am back from a few days vacation, up a little bit in water weight, but that will come right off. It's noon and I have already done my 30 minute walk, going to try and get another 30 mins of DVD in tonight at least. Doing okay on one large cup of coffee.

    Happy to report the water weight is gone, down 2 lbs this morning. TOM is coming so i expect a plateau this week. Yesterday was not that hard really. I underrate a little because the fruit I brought to work had gone bad. Did 30 day shred and a little Zumba in the evening. Trying to get my 9 year old more active so she did Zumba with me. I had taped the biggest loser finale so I just watched it. Man did Dani look great!

    Thanks for the inspiration. I started the 17 day today. I need 10 off by April for Navy weigh in...gained over Christmas and has been a challenge to get it off! You will drop those last few...good for you!!!

    The numbers speak for themselves! I am at prebaby2 weight, circa 2007. I can't wait to see the 130s. I haven't been in the 130s since 2003, when I was 28. Before the alien babies abducted my body and left me with this temporary one lol.
    The only challenge to this diet is boredom. Literally I eat the same thing or close to it every day. But that means its a no brainer to follow. No hunger or cravings. The only way I know to eat is I start feeling sort of lightheaded every few hours, then I eat some protein or yogurt.
    I know the loss will taper off eventually. Jus please please let me get to 139!!!!
    Walking 40 minutes during the day plus 30 day shred at night by the way. Don't want to overdo exercise right now.

    I am at my "set point" and need to blast past it. 142.
    I was hungry yesterday, TOM was coming. I could almost guarantee that I would hit a mini plateau at 142. It's psychologically a really hard weight to get past, I haven't gotten lower than that in 10 years. Whenever I hit 142 I plateau and then screw up somehow and gain. Not this time dangit!!! I have been " calorie creeping" letting myself have a bit of extra cheese, allowing myself beef even though it is not on this cycle. That stops now. Today I am sticking strictly to it. Boiled eggs instead of cheese, salmon instead of beef. I neeeeeed to see 141 because I need to know its possible. I believe!!!!!

    Walking 40 minutes during the day plus 30 day shred at night by the way. Don't want to overdo exercise right now.

    Are you measuring your inches too? Do you have a calorie max as well? I can see my carbs are still high. Still working with the EVOO so looked like a lot of calories to me.

    As in olive oil? Yah I allow myself some more fats I must confess, because otherwise it would be hard to get enough calories. I worry more about minimum than maximum. I have to eat at least 1200, and with exercise I seem to be netting more around 1000. But it is comfortable so I worry too much. Friend me and look at my diary if you like?
    Today was a tough day just because Saturdays are. I was glad to have boiled eggs in the fridge and may exceed my 2 egg quota today lol. As far as fruit I only eat a grapefruit with breakfast and half a banana with my bedtime shake. I know that's against the rules, but I workout heavily at 7pm and burn those banana carbs almost immediately. Oh and some unsweetened cranberry juice because I am doing jillian michaels flush drink (google it) because I want to get past 142 as fast as humanly possible. Lol I think everyone does some adaptations here and there, some we get away with some we don't :-P

    Hmm haven't measured in awhile but my work pants were falling off on Friday. They are size 10 so well they should. I really "see" the loss in my face actually, hard to measure. How about you?
    Are you seeing any changes yet? It really helps to see those little changes.

    Wimped out a d just did yoga tonight, I was super active today with the kids and chores etc.

    Thanks for the info. I did measure on D1 and will measure on D7; I will check out that site you suggested. You are getting so close to 141! Have you had pu-erh tea? I really like... it has helped with lowering belly fat for me...earthy flavor so I use for coffee right now cause I am addicted to flavor creamers (a little coffee with my creamer). I was going to try the acidophilus milk with coffee next week.

    Ugh I totally screwed up today. Went out for appies and ordered oysters and miso soup- when they came they were super deep fried and I ate them anyway. Had no idea they were almost 400 calories. Then when I got home there was the pot of Mac and cheese left from the kids dinner. I kept walking by the pot taking bites from the spoon (you know) until I basically ate a serving. I managed to get enough exercise in that I am netting around 1275, but I still know that my weight will be up tomorrow and that pisses me off!
    Why would I do this? Am I really destined to sabotage myself every time I hit 142? I need psychotherapy. Actually it's just that TOM I'm due in 2 days and I am craving salt bad. Hmmmmm am I ever getting to 141?

    Ok
    On the bright side, I just looked at my weekly net average, and I did manage to net under 1200 daily average which is still within parameters. Even with the donut fiasco and oystergate. Meh. Not perfect but ok.

    Off to drink like a gallon of lemon water...

    Really hard to resist weighing this morning! but I think that is a good choice, hopefully I can blow right past all of this 142 nonsense and get on with the 130s soon.

    Have to go for lunch with friends today, I promise I will only have grilled fish or chicken with salad. I may have to deal with a few non-17dd details in there but I will do my best. NO OYSTERS!!!!

    I can't wait for C2, lol I am reading my grains cookbook like it is porn "oooohhhh, look at the quinoa salad, yeah baby!' lmao. It's good that I am craving healthy. I wish I had the guts to cut all artificial sweeteners out of my life, I confess to still having a diet coke with dinner ever night (it is instead of beer or wine, though people, I am only human!) and I am really missing nuts, also looking at cashew porn.:devil:

    So I am really rpoud of myself for keeping it under control yesterday in the restaurant. I ordered baked fish, no rice and double veggies. Well the "veggies" were potatoes, beets and beans. Ate the beans and beets. Stupid bread basket sat in front of me the whole time, and I resisted. If I was with a different crowd I would have asked to have it removed!!! But I won!

    I feel slimmer. I was laying in bed last night and felt my arms and I was like "woah!" where did they go? lol. I know I will have some muscle building to do once these last ten are off, but I am not focusing on that right now. I don't think I can build muscle in the kind of calorie deficit I have right now, and that's okay. I work out to maintain what I have.

    That being said, I did discover a muscle last night that I didn't know I had: halfway between my lower back and my butt, that expanse there (my "batt"? My "bonk?") I was actually flexing and it was hardening. If someone knows what that muscle is called I'd love to hear it, 'cause I have one now.

    Oh, and another NSV, I went to the pool last night and didn't feel awkward or self-conscious. I just walked around in my bathing suit. I didn't even cringe when this gorgeous 110 lb mom came and sat next to me in the hot tub with her kid. Seriously ladies, there is nothing that makes me more jealous than seeing a mom rocking a bikini with a baby on her hip! But instead of feeling yucky and comparing myself to her, I thought "yeah, this is where the fit moms sit". lol.

    OK, I admit it, I couldn't wait and snuck a look at the scale - and I am past 142!!! I am 141.6, which feels like a huge "weight" off my shoulders, because now I know if 141 is possible, then 139 is possible, then 135 is possible!

    Another confession, I did a bit of "carb cycling", where a couple of days I replaced fruit servings with nut servings. This brings my carbs down below 50g a day, and I am pretty sure I am in ketosis because I feel great, not hungry, energetic, which means my body is running off some kind of fuel. But I am going to eat some fruit becauseI find my calories are a bit too low sometimes.

    I need to get a good muscle workout in tonight. I haven't had one in a few days.

    Thanks for basically letting me turn this into my own personal blog, by the way! Posting here every single day has really helped.

    Got a good workout in last night, did the abs workout from Bob's yoga DVD, that thing is killer, my goal is to finish it. Also did 6week 6pack.
    Scale said 141.0 this morning. When the scale was adjusting I kept seeing numbers like 138 and 139 and I can't wait for it to settle there! Feeling like I need a good cleanse so I am breaking out some gentle supplements I had in the cupboard (renew life first cleanse) I think I have not been getting enough fiber tmi.

    Back up to 142. That's not funny. I confess I had a few mini eggs and gummies. I grossed around 1750 but I did 70 minutes of circuit training burning over 500 cals. I am losing my momentum I admit. Missing carbs. I wasn't going to switch into cycle 2 but now I can see how much I am missing grains, I am on the fence. But I also know my weightloss stalls in cycle 2. I think I need to keep going, I do better with continuity, but I also worry if I feel too restricted I will binge.
    We had gorgeous weather this weekend, I got that "summer feeling" all I wanted was beer lol. I need to get the weight off now, because I want to be at maintenance for summer so I can enjoy!!!!
    Going to MILs for lunch, where I guarantee there will be nothing healthy. Sigh do my best.
    I am going to fight to get back down to 141.

    Lightbulb moment: I did some super nerdy analysis and found the numbers interesting...

    Day 1-8:
    gross cals 1260 avg
    Net cals 1015 avg
    80 carbs avg
    25% carbs avg
    Lost 2 lbs ( plus 2 more water weight) 4 total

    Day 9-11 (past three days)
    Gross cals 1690 avg
    Net cals 1180 avg
    104 carbs avg
    26% carbs avg
    Weight plateau 141-142

    So obviously I have been slipping, I have been eating 400 cals a day more, and netting 200 a day more. It's worth saying TOM started yesterday, was super grumpy and hormonal. What's important is that I get back on track, to what was working, keeping gross cals under 1400. Debate all you want, it works and I am gonna do what works!!!!

    Ok I am obviously retaining Easter egg weight lol. I accidentally did an IF day today because I didn't manage to get breakfast in until 11am. Took a bikini pic of myself just for *kitten*-essment ;-) and I feel like if I get these last 5 or so off and tone my tummy I can be happy. I don't want to be obsessed with eating and weight for the rest of my life, I want to get to a weight and feel like I am done, with weight loss anyway. If I can't reach 135 I will never feel "done".
    That being said, I can feel the necessity now of going through all the 17dd cycles as written, even though it will slow me down, it will give me some much needed sanity, and then I will be able to go all the way. So my last 17 will really be my last 51 I guess?
