    Did some P90X last night. Ate quite well, weight was back down to reward me. I want to hang onto 141 until the end of this cycle, then lose another 2-3 in C2.

    My rules for myself are as follows:
    30-60 minutes exercise per day
    C1 menu, under 75g net carbs, over 100g protein


    Highest weight: 215 pregnant
    Current weight: 144.4
    Goal weight: 135

    1-03/20- 145.8 starting weight (up b/c of vacation)
    2-03/21- 143.2
    3-03/22- 142.2 - prebaby2 weight!
    4-03/23 -142.4 the difficult weight to get past psychologically

    I feel like my body is finally going into new slim territory, after yoyoing for so long! Ok no more candy or gummy bears, these things are unnecessary. If I crave I will drink a big glass of water!!!!

    I confess I switched to Cycle 2 two days early. I was just having such bad carb cravings I was cheating with gummy bears, it was stupid. might as well allow myself some real carbs. Have a chickpea and couscous salad waiting for me for lunch - yay!

    1 day left and then I will start second 17-day cycle. My goal for that cycle is to see 138!!!

    Make that 140 !!!!

    Well that's it, my 17 days is over. I lost 5 lbs total, which was 3.4% of my bodyweight in two and a half weeks, that's not too shabby. If I do another 3.4% in the next cycle, I will be at 136 lbs! Made my goal 138.8, though, to be realistic, as C2 is notoriously slower.

    A couple of notes: I am adding in some nuts for more healthy fats. I also opt to eat leass fruit and replace it with veggies, as I find for me fruit increases my hunger (shrug) I'd rather spend the carbs and cals on whole grains and beans. Yum, beans!

    OK cycle 2 and I don't get along. Until you've done the program it's hard too explain, it just gets too complicated and the carbs mess me up and I start getting cravings. So today and tomorrow are free days, just at maintenance with some variety to reset myself, then back on C1 and take care of these last 5 lbs.

    Ahhhh I feel so refreshed, having taken a day off and allowed myself some flour and sugar. It was kind of gross actually, it reminded me that once I get on the `sugar train`as i call it, I can`t stop wanting to eat. Hubby brought out some carrot sticks later and I ate them and felt much better. I experimented with veggie juicing the last few days but it spikes my blood sugar so I am going back to whole veg. I`m not diabetic just really carb sensitive. I bought a cartload of veg this weekend, and I am going to be all about them this week.

    I had to get my head screwed on straight this weekend. I had a little panic attack around being within 5 lbs of my ultimate goal weight. I know that sounds ridiculous. But it`s like I just ran a marathon and now I see the finish line and it kind of made me go a little crazy. I don`t know if people know this but I have been trying to reach this weight goal for ten years and never gotten this close. I just put up a new weight chart in my bathroom and I am projected to hit goal by mother`s day.
    But now I am ready. My will is steel. I will not succumb to fear or self doubt. i will reach out and grab that brass ring. I have earned this. I have fought for it, harder than I ever knew I could.

    I have a perfect day of macros planned, albeit a bit too low in calories, but I will allow it for one day since I cheated a bit on the weekend. Really happy with the physical results I am getting from my abs and yoga workouts, I knew for a long time I needed to be pushing my abs strength and flexibility and so now I am taking action!

    Little stressful at work right now. Boss is away and I am holding down the fort. Eating clean will help me stay alert, however!

    Waiting for 30 day Shred to arrive today. Ate a lot on weekend...but resuming the plan this week. Keep on keeping on!! You will see 135 soon I am sure of it!!

    Ahhhh now I am feeling better, I was low energy for a few days there, that was tough. I went to sleep an hour early instead of working out, and it made all the difference. Weight is down to 140.2. Setting a goal to see 139 by next Monday!

    Up a pound this morning, not sure why, my eating yesterday was great and I had a strong P90X workout, but that's okay I have patience. My pants are loose - my tight legging style pants - kind of annoying lol but shucks if I gotta buy new clothes....
    If my daughter hasn't lost my tape measure I'd be taking measurements right now.

    Whew this week has been exhausting - work stress, plus my daughter's "swimming career" has me at the pool several times a week (she's 9 but I am very proud!) SO getting in workouts has been hard on those days, I need a better plan. She and I did do yoga together last night which was super-cute. I have been trying to keep her at a healthy weight, and so I am super happy she is taking to all the extra physical activity. Now if I could just fit in my workouts!
    Not much happened on the scale this week, but I definitely saw body changes (tape measure is still AWOL - I could buy another but I had that one for 20 years so I'm kinda attached) I feeel like I am poised for another drop though ... all I have to do is get some more intense workouts in. I am doing P90X/insanity hybrid, but taking care not to exhaust myself. So maybe the additional rest is good.

    So I had another cheat meal last night. Thank goodness I didn't see 142 again on the scale! Stress is ramping up in my life, and that is always when I have faltered in the past. I need to keep my eating and workouts as the primary focus in order to be successful. That's not necessarily wholistic, but it's true. This last ten pounds is 90% mental, you can see that in my daily rollercoaster that is this thread.
    You can really see me struggling with it this cycle. There's a resistant voice in my head that tells me to stop, rationalizes that it just wasn't meant to be, tells me I "deserve" treats....
    I have fully come to the conclusion that this is my journey, I know what to do, and stop looking for the magic answers. What I am doing works, I just need patience and perseverance. I need to stop looking for the next great Solution. Fat loss is just slow and tough, it just is! I want it bad enough, and that is why I will finish this marathon I started.
    5 pounds to go. Time to GO HARD!!!!

    140.0. Scale kept flickering down to 139.8, it was maddening!

    Having a healthy day but hard to stick to 17dd rules, went to a vegan cafe for brunch and had a cashew Benny on sweet potato with kale, coffee with maple syrup. So not cycle 1, but how can you call that bad lol?

    Ok guys I've made a decision to finish this cycle off using the cycle 2 menu and upping my net cals by 150 calories. My body is solidly telling me I am pushing it. It's painful to "slow down" when I am only 5 lbs away! But the logic of the diet is that you are not meant to be that strict forever, and I can see why. I'd rather do this right!

    I am so sorry to hear you all are sick. My hubby had that ugly headache for 2 day too. Rest, water, sleep...get well soon.

    OK, things got a little messed up there for awhile --Let's have a little recap:

    Cycle 1 went well. I lost 5 lbs and got to an all time low. Feelings of success, hope, possibility.

    In Cycle 2, rather than following the diet, I got myself a little case of hubris, thought I was so close to goal, I'll just keep going with cycle 1 foods, plus the P90X advice was also to keep carbs lower and protein very high. I struggled with carb cravings, my workouts became less effective, I started getting headaches. Started slipping in general.

    I gave myself the opportunity to eat to maintenance last night, and added some carbs. This morning I feel happier, better, so much more energetic. SO my body is sending my a really strong message that I can't just keep cutting and cutting and driving myself harder. It backfires. Torture as it is to see these last 5 lbs CRAWL off, I have to trust the process. The diet was a written as it was for a reason, you are not meant to stay on Cycle 1, it is a short term jumpstart. I need to trust in it, even though it is so much slower than I want.

    So what can I say? I am feeling my way through this like everyone else, and I made a mistake. I have bumped my calorie goal up 10% or so, to give myself more energy. I am going to continue through cycle 2 as written, and then I am going to go through cycle 3 as well, even though I know cycle 3 probably won't result in much weight loss, it will allow me to go back to cycle 1 in a few weeks and take care of business. Weight loss matters, but living matters too! I wasn't able to find energy for my workouts, and that's just stupid. But I am a little embarassed, it is the perfectionist in me that wants so badly to just rock this weightloss thing. I'm a little humbled.

    So this morning my weight was up to 142, because of the extra eating last night. That's okay, 142 is now my "bloated" weight and not my "skinny" weight. But I am so looking forward to my workout today, I feel like I have the energy I need!

    Never, ever giving up.

    My rules for myself are as follows:
    30-60 minutes exercise per day
    C2/C1 menu, under 125g net carbs, over 100g protein, 1350 cals net MFP goal.


    Highest weight: 215 pregnant
    C1 Starting Weight: 145.8
    C1 Ending Weight: 140.8
    C1B Starting Weight: 140.8
    C1B Goal Weight: 138

    Feeling good, albeit a bit puffy, today. Had a great day yesterday, felt like I ate a good amount and had a great workout. Gonna keep going! Getting my consult appointment for LASIK eye surgery today.

    I freaking hate P90X. I know it's a solid program in terms of results but I am bored to tears, and Tony is so cheesy. Hope that doesn't offend anyone, it just feels so good to say it out loud! I'll finish off this month and then I'm going to dust off some other DVDs....
