I'd love to be number 324. I'm not sure where you get the number icons or if it is still available. I also don't have a GPS and my phone is dumb. (No smart phone with apps). I can however post a .kml (google earth) file of my routes or a screen shot. Is that acceptable?? Let me know, thanks!
Sorry - I missed the part about not having GPS logging. I'm afraid all rides need to be verifiable for this challenge.0 -
Place 324 currently being held for the lady with the green hair - subject to confirmation0 -
I would like to confirm that I will be cycling outside on the road, as I would be cycling to work and doing longer cycles at the weekend and I will also be logging by Strava, I will get the other half to put it on my phone.
Hope this is ok , if it is could I request a Manx flag

Wonderful - thanks for confirming, consider the final slot in team 3 to be yours, and welcome aboard!0 -
Yay Thank you, looking forward to this challenge!!0
-
Whoop whoop... 3 full teams!0
-
TBY, Are there any slots left?
Pl put Rajiv Dubey (India)0 -
I get it....all 3 teams full! Next time maybe!!0
-
Sorry Rajiv, but we've been running signups for nearly a fortnight now, and discussion in the Century Cycling forum since before the end of last year...
I'd always intended cutting off entries today to give me time to create the logging spreadsheets etc., So best I can suggest is to keep an eye out for the signup mid-june for the TdF Challenge0 -
TBY - aside from following the rules to the Tee, do you request any other helpers in the data-crunching or ride-validation department? Or is it just a matter of following the rules so things are quick for you to manage? Let me know if you need any help...
Deb0 -
Thanks for setting this up, TBY! Looking forward to getting out there
Just so I'm clear - I'm to maintain my data in your template locally, then submit the whole thing on the 26th? Or are we updating daily?
Also, like RedSunshine, I'm willing to help where you need it0 -

Thanks for the offer, but I'm sure if we all stick to the format prescribed, it'll be easy enough for me to cope with0 -

post as and when you can, the template's just there to sort of enforce a given order to the data, then I can make the spreadsheet in the same order and not be going back and forth for the data...0 -

Just to confirm what cloggsy said, sorry mate - but definitely keep an eye out for the TdF challenge, signups probably commencing in mid-june (subject to my not just deciding to sod-off around the world or something equally dumb )0 -
Hi all
Unfortunately on Tue evening an idiotic aggressive white van man crashed into the back of my car. And guess what. I've got whiplash. Been to see the doc today as the pain has been getting worse over the last 24 hours, luckily it's not a more serious neck injury which I was starting to worry - just whiplash - *just* ?!?!
He reckons it will take 2-4 weeks to heal and I know at the moment I couldn't cycle as it stretches the neck and shoulders too much. I am doing a charity velodrome ride on May 12th which he has said I can do, in that it won't cause long term or permanent damage, but it will hurt a lot afterwards. I've been so looking forward to it and have lots of sponsors already that I want to honour it and risk the pain. Rule #9 is it?!? Or Rule #5 ?
In any case, other than that I don't think I'll be able to ride much over the next few weeks so I will give my place up to one of the guys who didn't get in this time. It's great you've got 3 full teams - aces!!!
I am proper gutted, to coin an awful phrase, but it does sum it up pretty well.
Count me in for the TdF though - most definitely :-)
Good luck all - and GO TEAM 2 !!!!
Cheers,
Fran0 -
Oh Fran, that really, really is a terrible shame - I know you were looking forward to this one.
Consider yourself Pre-Registered for Team 1 (#308, right next to me at #309 ) in the TdF challenge (don't anyone else ask for this service - this is a ONE-OFF in view of Fran being good enough to open a slot for someone else.)
Okay, I suppose that in fairness, I aught to ask Rajiv as "first reserve" if he's still interested... Edit: he's interested, and accepted, so we've still got 3 complete teams0 -
Mark
Just a quick test of the posting using last night's ride data: (I know this doesn't count but I wanted to be sure to get the format worked out)

Is that what you expect to see? I know this is a lot of admin work and we want this to be as easy as feasible for you!
Thanks in advance!!0 -

Really sorry to hear about your injury Fran. Very best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Also, I would just like to extend an invitation to everyone on this challenge, regardless of which team you're on, to add me as a friend. The more motivated friends I have the better!
Best of luck to everyone!0 -
another MFP challenge i did, the administrator uses
http://www.editgrid.com/
to keep track of mileage and such. You want to try using that? so all of us can key it in instead? its basically an online excel. which can be useful for all the calculation and formula0 -

Too much of a control freak, and I'd still have to check everyones rides anyway, which is the time consuming bit, providing everyone submits their data properly.0 -
lol. whichever you are convinent0
