We all are at different levels in our journey. A binge is an uncontrolled eating episode. You have to determine if your episode is a binge for you or not. Once you determine this, use information to try to prevent future episodes and relfect on how and what you can do differently next time.0 -

The Binge: 50 -
As of October 1, 2012: - Goal to remain mindful of not binging and when I do binge figure out why and what was going on when I binged. I also want to log it all. (25 or more days binge free)

Daily Reminders--Geneen Roth's Eating Guidelines
1. Eat when you are hungry. (Truly hungry, body hungry not mind hungry)
2. Eat sitting down in a calm environment. This does not include the car.
3.Eat without distractions. Distractions include radio, television, newspaper, books, intense or anxiety producing conversation and music.
4. Eat only what your body wants. (Big difference from what your MIND wants!)
5. Eat until you are satisfied. (This is different than full.)
6. Eat (with the intention of being) in full view of others.
7. Eat with enjoyment, gusto and pleasure.
8. Eat slowly.0 -

I have just joined this group, is it okay to post?
I have a history with anorexia and purging, and have only recently started binging but I would like to get it under control as mentally it does nothing for me.
Last week, I lost 2lbs despite the fact I had four really bad binge days. I cried because I didn't understand it, I didn't want to lose weight like that, I wanted to do it the right way. Binging isn't healthy for your body and being healthy is the most important thing to me.

Ate a (big) hamburger and some birthday cake last night. Was over my calories, but no binge! I think for next month, I'm going to track how many days I go over along with the binges and good days. I still overeat, especially on weekends, and that's a giant obsticle that needs to be overcome.0 -
sadly-I lack will power in the evenings--and I failed the last 2 nights!

It was not too bad of a binge but was a small binge on 2 items and I am going to go ahead and count it as a binge.
