When I found out I was pregnant the scale read 200.5
At 14 weeks (when I was sick with the flu) the scale read 183.5
Today, at 30 weeks the scale read 198

The first trimester was really tough and I lost 17 pounds due to nausea (no vomiting, just severe nausea)

The past month is when I have gained 7 pounds or so and I want to slow this down a bit since the doctor said that I should only gain 8 pounds more at the maximum (I have gained 1.5 pounds since she told me that two weeks ago). However in the past month I have been stuffing my face with junk. We went shopping over the weekend and bought organic, healthy, and gluten free foods again and I decided that I need to keep track of calories again because of my recent weakness of sugar. Only 10 weeks to go and I am hoping that this will continue to be my healthiest pregnancy to date.

Weight made a jump this week. At 30weeks I'm up 17 lbs. I know I'm well within my recommended gain, but it still sucks. 2 lbs just last week. 10 weeks to go!

You are doing great! I was gaining 2lb a week for two weeks too, but looking at my past pregnancies I always had jumps like that and then flat for a while again. Just remember there's a little miracle growing inside your body and you're doing a great job taking care of yourself :)

I'm 5'6 and started at 125 lb (which went down to 123 due to nausea and back up after a while) and I eat 1590/day (my maintenance) from the start of my pregnancy until now (24 weeks right now). I do eat a bit more when hungry, but mostly stay at 1590 or so and sometimes up to 300 cals over about once or twice a week. I think in the third trimester I'll probably eat a bit more but I'll wait and see where my hunger puts me :)

I'm 28, and today is 26 weeks. So far, I've gained 5lbs, and this is my first pregnancy.

I typically eat somewhere between 1700-2000 cals/day now. I lift at least 2 days/week (often 3), and try to do some cardio/get a good long walk in for another 2 days/week.

Edited to add: I'm 5'4", and I started at 194-195 lbs.

I had a jump over the last two weeks as well.....up 20 lbs at 34 weeks! I am pretty sure that what I am gaining right now is baby and water retention. I did not eat enough to gain 3 lbs of fat in a week! Even though I am right on target to gain 25 and I should've gained this much, it's still hard to come to terms with!

Oh and I eat between 2000 and 2300 and am 5'7, starting weight 125-130. But it's not too far off from what I ate when I wasn't pregnant. I also eat back most of my exercise calories.

I'll be 30 weeks on Saturday and have also gained 17lbs! This past month though was only a one lb gain. The month before I had a growth spurt and gained SIX LBS! Ekkkk. I think we are right on target. I hope to stay right where I am for awhile more though! See if I can get away with a 20-25lbs gain all together. EVEN THOUGH they told me I CAN gain 25-35. If I don't need to Im not going to push it. :flowerforyou:

    Hey ladies,

I'm at 25 weeks and have put on a total of 15.8 lbs... Ok, 16 lbs!

I was already overweight before I got pregnant so any positive spin I can put on seeing scale turn direction is helpful. I have to keep remembering that 8-10 lbs will fall off as soon as I give birth, and I allot 1-2 lbs to bigger breasts (good lbs.).

I get into funks and have even been known to dodge the camera on occasion, but when I really struggle with the weight gain I remind myself I lost weight once and I can lose weight again; I can never be pregnant for the first time!! This slap of reality puts me back in the moment and makes me get in front of the camera and commorate this once in a lifetime moment.

AND- Mothers with body concerns more than likely pass it onto thier kids. I refuse to pass along my headtrip. I'm trying to break the cycle and love the skin I'm in... no matter how hard it is.

Hello all - I decided I want somewhere to track this.

    Starting weight: 156

    Week 5: +0
    Week 6: +0
    Week 7: +0
    Week 8: -1
    Week 9: -1
    Week 10: -1
    Week 11: -2
    Week 12: -2
    Week 13: -1
    Week 14: -1
    Week 15: -0.25

At least I'm back in the right direction. I need to focus on gaining soon I think...but kind of scared.

Hi all! Reading this makes me feel pretty bad about myself actually. I feel like I have been eating constantly to keep the nausea away lately. My starting weight was about 148 (normally 145, but I think I still had a couple holiday pounds on). I am currently 11 weeks and I weighed in this morning at 154, so already up 6 pounds. I am hoping once the nausea goes away I will level out for awhile! At this rate I will be in the 200s by the time this kid gets here!

Don't let this make you feel bad about yourself! Every person is different and we're all starting out at different places. As long as you and your doctor are happy with how things are progressing, enjoy this time! You and the baby don't need the stress otherwise. <3

Don't feel bad, I had severe nausea too until about 15-16 weeks. In addition to Zofran I had to eat crackers, etc all the time to keep from puking. My weight leveled out once the nasuea subsided. Hang in there!

31 weeks, 18 lbs. I've finally reached the point where there isn't enough room in my belly for baby and food. I turned away chocolate cake twice this weekend not b/c of awesome self-control, only b/c it wouldn't fit in this belly!

Totally agree - I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and living on my exercise ball - normal chairs make me feel too squished in the rib-meets-uterus department. Poor small stomach.
