I know, right?
There are three things that are important to me about a race.
1. It must be accurately measured.
2. It must be accurately timed.
3. It must start on time.
This race missed on 1 and 3 (it started 8 minutes late!).
This is the number one reason I don't like to run races that are in their first year or their first year on a new course. I'm trying to find a good half-marathon to run in the fall and one of my top choices is on a new course. Everything else about the race looks perfect, but I want to use it as a New York qualifier and they can't even tell me for sure if the course is eligible...0 -
